Our perfect place 1 April 2020: govardhan is tensed about sameer and his decision, gaytari comes and they talk about how sameer is behaving weird. she puts him at peace when he talks about his fight with ila. she then goes in and is assured by ila too, that they shall be fine. she leaves.
ila comes out to play with govardhan and the kids. the kids on govardhan’s insistence continue to badger but he vents out his frustration at them and walks away. they get tensed. ila composes them while he leaves to talk to rahul, and asks how could he do this to the kids. rahul says that they wanted what he couldnt give, as he hates cricket. govardhan asks why as at the selection when he was young, he got out on the first ball, and rahul vehemently enforces that it was umpire’s wrong decision. govardhan says that he too feels bad, but they cant do anything. he places a reassuring hand on his shoulder. govardhan asks rahul not to bother himself down so much, from the past and not move ahead as thats wrong.
a miffed rahul says that he doesnt knows whats right and wrong. he says that he only wanted two things from life, one destiny took away and one he himself, and he shall always be angry at both of them for life. govardhan is tensed. rahul reminds him the dates and time that has passed by and he hasnt forgotten anything. govardhan leaves. rahul meanwhile remembers his love affair.
Inside, he discusses rahul’s sadness with ila, and blames himself, and asks why is rahul blaming himself. she says that he wont be happy if he is sad. they tensedly talk about how rahul’s past haunts him, his present and furture. she asks him to find a job for rahul.
While niranjan talks, rita comes and reprimands him for talking like this to rahul. they start squabbling yet again. he starts self victimising himself, while she starts taunting his ego. she gets emotional about how she is feeling suffocated inside, and has lost the power to fight too. but niranjan continues to taunt her on. rita stands on the balcony, in tears, when govardhan comes and finds her like this. he assures her and places a reassuring hand on her shoulder. rita composes herself. he tries to cheer her up, but gets nostalgic himself. they both share their pain together. he says that its her decision to share the pain with them or not, but she needs to share it with someone to lessen it. she accepts she is in pain, but doesnt know for sure, whether she should be. he says that they can merely hug her and relieve her of pain.
Later, govardhan talks to ramesh about fixing a job for rahul, explaining his current state, after apologising for what happened the other day. he also asks him not to share it with anyone. ramesh complies.
Rahul comes and finds the kids upset about what happened earlier, and tries to get them to cheer up, by dancing and joking around with them. the entire family, joins together and its a nice family time spent. Later, while ila retires for the night, and she happily banters with govardhan, rahul comes and hugs ila. she is boggled. Rahul hugs ila and explains that he got the job. he tells govardhan that by the end of the month, he shall get his room on rent. she asks if he would leave her. he reminds her of the deal. ila and govardhan get tensed. rahul leaves.
The next morning, at the temple, govardhan again complains to the goddess, that relations keep slipping away, as rahul shall leave now. she asks him to be content for what she does. she tries to explain that sooner or later, they shall come to him. Inside, ila talks animatedly with rita, who is happy with her work in the kitchen. ila explains how she is sad for rahul, but rita tries to cheer her up. rita then serves tea for rahul, and they excitedly talk. she congratulates him on his job. he says that it was very unexpected and sudden. she then hesitatingly brings up the topic as to how everyone is tensed because of his decision to leave. he reminds her the deal. she says that it isnt hard and fast and asks him to stay back. he doesnt comply. she tries to joke about it. ila hears from a distance, and gets tensed. she cries in her room remembering what happened. when rita comes, she finds ila upset. she tries to cheer her up, but ila sadly tells her that she cant digest rahul shall leave her. rita says that they shall manage him somehow to stay back. ila isnt convinced. rita promises that they shall cry together if it doesnt work out. they botyh smile happily.
Outside in the lobby, niranjan meets some people, and comes back tensed, while rahul watches from the balcony. when he comes back, rahul asks him who were they, as he sensed they were fighting, and begs to know. niranjan shuts him down, and makes an excuse to get out of it. rahul isnt convinced.
While govardhan is busy, niranjan comes, and hesitatingly brings up the topic as to how he needs some cash for being in debt. govardhan asks him to take some from the almirah. niranjan says that he needs more. govarsdhan asks how much. niranjan responds ten lakhs. ila comes and overhears it. she asks him why. niranjan clarifies that he needs it for business, and it shall act as a loan. govardhan gets to giving, but ila reminds him that various times, he has promised but never returned. niranjan asks him to come for money, but ila stops him, asking him to be self sufficient. govrdhan tries to intervene, but ila warns that they shall feed him, but not give him one penny. niranjan pamperingly badgers ila to give one last time. ila says that she doesnt know how to save at all. Niranjan says that he needs it for business. but govardhan says that he knows the reason isnt that, but for those fast earning schemes. he tries to ask him not to go for shortcuts, and then asks him to become independant. he leaves frustratedly. they both are tensed.
As rahul packs up for the first day, rita comes and asks him how is he feeling. he expresses his nervousness and anxiousness at rejoining the second time. she gives him a ganesha locket, for the blessings of the lord. he says that he cant take it, and asks her to continue praying. but she insists him to take it. he finally complies, on her insistence. she talks about how overwhelmed she is to have found her relations with them all. rahul leaves and seeks ila’s blessings and the lord, but she reminds him to go and meet govrdhan too before leaving. he complies tensedly, and goes to govardhan to touch his feet. govardhan excitedly blesses him, for success and happiness.
Niranjan tries to talk to someone over the phone, asking for somemore time, but he is told that his time is running up. he tries to negotiate, but the moneylender warns him to now see what he shall have to face.
While govardhan and ila are playing with the kids, niranjan tries to talk to rita about how she can give her jewellery to him, as he needs the money. but she is defiant, and then continuously asks why does he need it. he continues to divert the topic. his infidelity again springs up in their fight, and he asks if she hates him so much, then why does she stay. she gets enraged and packs her bags and walks out, taking the kids with her. govardhan and ila are shocked. niranjan moves out after them, and he too doesnt respond to her questions. they are tensed.
Later, when they dont get any info about the both of them, they are scared. rahul tries the number but it doesnt get through. niranjan meanwhile comes back, and they rush to him, as he enters the main gate. but just then, some hooligans come to take niranjan and try and beat him up. he tries so as not to be seen. but govardhan and ila watch tensedly and are aghast from their balcony. they take him away in the van and drive off. they are aghast. rahul starts calling them all in the familt. others gather in too, one by one. parimal tries to get the police involved, who tell them that its simply a case of extortion and once they get the money, they shall send him back. after the police leaves.
ila starts blaming herself, for not giving him the money. she lashes at govardhan too for accepting her stance. he asks her to calm down and decide what to do now. they wonder why the call isnt coming. parimal says that they shall take time, so that the family gets tensed, and pay up. ila again comes blaming herself. parimal asks her not to, as she did the right thing, since it had to stop someday. Rita comes in saying that its entirely their fault, and blames them, for overpampering him, which led to this day. govardhan says that even if they accept the blame, then too they need to find out what to do now. parimal reminds that its the kidnappers who shall call them now. they ask why hasnt the call come yet. parimal informs that the more they delay, that increases their chances of retrieving the money, as the family gets scared and arranges for payment. rita rushes in meanwhile, after getting a frantic call, from niranjan, through some number, to get the ransom. she hurriedly complies.
while rita is packing her jewellery, ila and gaytri come to her. ila says that govardhan shall get it, as ramesh has the cash ready and then parimal can get it. rita says that she isnt doing so but she only wishes to do so, that they might have done anything in anger, but its niranjan’s fault, and this time, he needs to realise it, as due to his mistake, she lost all her jewellery. she asks them not to stop her. gaytari takes off her jewellery too, but rita says that she has sufficient. she walks out. they are tensed. As Rita comes out with a bag, and they all tensedly ask her where is she going. she says that she is going to free him with the jewellery. all are tensed as they hear this. rita says that she knows of his offer. ila asks him to let her go, as she shall explain later. govardhan says that the police should atleast know. rita says that they shouldnt complicate as he has taken the money. and they need to return it back. Parimal stops her, saying that women of the house shall not go to such people, and asks where is it to be delivered. rahul complies too. rita thinks and then gives in. she shows them the address via message. sameer also wishes to go, but the ask him to stay back, as one of them should. they walk out.
