The rules of love 16 April 2024: Maitree is getting ready for her wedding. Sadhna notices Maitree and remarks that she is stunning. She places a black tika behind her ear and tells her that Baarat has arrived and she will greet them. Maitree concurs. Sadhna departs.
Maitree believes she won’t be able to meet Sona and is unsure why she has a dreadful feeling something bad will happen. Nandini asks Sona whether she knows who Maitree is marrying. Sona makes a remark about her. Nandini shows Sona Harsh Pandit’s family photos. Sona is taken aback.
Harsh walks into Maitree’s room and attempts to cheer her up. Maitree expresses concern that Fan will arrive. Harsh claims they can handle everything. Maitree concurs. Harsh Pandit, according to Nandini, is the son of her husband and his second wife, Kamna Tiwari. Nandini worries
Sona by claiming that Maitree would bring Kamna here and that our pride will be jeopardised if everyone finds out about your husband’s second marriage. Sona thanks Nandini for informing her and threatens to punish anyone who tries to tarnish her family’s image.
Harsh tells Maitree that he will never abandon her. Maitree inquires as to why he has come to her chamber. Harsh claims that Pandit summoned you but you did not respond, so he summoned me to take you to the mandap. Maitree inquires if he will take her. Harsh concurs. He lifts Maitree into his arms and leads her to the mandap.
Sona instructs her men to keep the items in the car. They load them into the automobile. Nandini arrives and says, “Let’s go, we’re running late.” Sona concurs. Through the window, Ashish notices them. Harsh and Maitree’s wedding preparations begin. Pandit requests that Maitree stand up for Pheras. They take a step forward and clasp each other’s hands. The weather suddenly shifts. Maitree is concerned after saving her nuptial knot from being destroyed. Ashish wonders where Nandini and Sona are going so quickly. Harsh and Maitree complete the pheras, after which Harsh binds the nuptial chain around Maitree’s neck and places Sindoor on her mang. Pandit declares that their marriage is over. Maitree and Harsh accept elders’ blessings.
Kamna is overjoyed to have a daughter like Maitree. Sona arrives with Nandini and requests that Maitree receive her blessings as well. Sadhna inquires of Dinesh whether he invited her. Dinesh declines. Sona reminds Maitree that she was previously married to her son, thus she came to fulfil her role as her mother in law. She requests that Maitree take money and jewellery. She humiliates Maitree by referring to her as greedy. She tosses money at Maitree and tells her that she is a sinner and criticises her values. Everyone is taken aback.
Sona warns Maitree that if he touches Gangajal, it will become filthy. Sona refers to Kamna as a housebreaker. She taunts her husband and refers to Kamna as her mistress. Kamna claims, “I consider you to be my sister, and how can you humiliate me in this manner?” Sona claims she is deserving. Maitree asks Sona to halt and explains that she chose this pairing herself. Maitree tells Sona that she has no right to insult her father-in-law and mother-in-law in this manner. Maitree tells Sona that she is not speaking as Maitree Mishra, but as their daughter in law.
Sona warns Maitree that she is marrying a mistress’s son and that society will look down on her as a result. Harsh demands Sona to stop and states that he will not listen to anything negative about his mother and wife. He requests
that Sona depart. Sona does not pay attention. Ashish appears and embraces Sona. Sona sobs as she gestures at Madan. Ashish argues that because Maitree is married to Harsh, she is related to them and that we have no relationship with them. Nandini makes a comment about it. Ashish tells her that he will talk to her when they get home. He invites Sona to his home. Sona declares that she will not listen to anyone and informs her spouse about his actions.
Sona tells Madan that she will not divorce him, making Kamna her mistress and her son illegitimate. Kamna motions Sona to pause and asks her to bless the newlyweds. Sona denies everything and vows she will never let them inside her home again. Ashish tells Sona that Harsh and his family would leave for Banaras after their marriage and will not return to Triveni Sangam, therefore they should leave. He drags Sona away from there. Kamna is comforted by Harsh.
Sona is brought home by Ashish. He inquires as to why she made a scene at Maitree’s house. Sona inquires if he is unconcerned about his suffering. Ashish claims that she and his family come first, which is why he did not attend Maitree’s wedding. Sona questions why he didn’t inform her that Maitree is marrying her husband’s illegitimate son. Om and Kusum are taken aback and wonder if it’s true. Sona claims she may never know the truth if Nandini does not tell her. I don’t want you to get wounded, therefore I hid it, says Ashish. Sona is dizzy. Sona is supported by Nandini and others.
Nandini claims Maitree is selfish and that if she truly cares about Sona, she will tell Sona the truth, but Maitree is selfish. She makes a remark on Maitree’s values. Nandini is slapped by Ashish. He questions why she told Sona the truth. He says you’ve always been envious of Maitree, and he urges her to stay inside the boundaries and issues a final warning. Nandini is surprised. He walks away. Sona believes in Nandini.
Maitree notices Harsh is concerned. She tells him that everything will be fine in time. Sona, according to Harsh, labelled me illegitimate and humiliated my mother. They leave when they hear a noise. Kamna tries to burn herself with a fire log while no one is looking.
