Once there was a king 18 April 2022: Jeewan hits Raja in the corridor at which Raja warns him to look carefully, he is well aware where Raja has been concentrating these days. He can see each crease over his wife’s face, but not him. Rani and girls were walking the other way on the corridor, Jeewan notices this and explains to Raja he only wanted to save Rani’s respect. Raja says he can take care of Rani’s needs. Jeewan taunts that every girl needs a shoulder to cry on, if not Raja he is there to provide it. Raja beats Jeewan, Rani comes to hold Raja and tells Jeewan to leave. He asks what happened, he should kill her.
She shouts if this is how he trusts her, what’s going on in his mind as he doesn’t seem to be the person she married. Raja holds her over his shoulders and take her to the bed.In the room, he lay her on the bed and bends over her saying he is like this and will be like this. Rani asks which Raja he is, if there is a problem they will try to resolve it. Raja says he doesn’t want to speak about it. Rani holds his hand saying she doesn’t want to fight with him, he must not leave. She is stopping him for herself, she will be with him and holds her ears to him. Raja walks away anyway, Rani holds him back singing for him. Both fell on the bed playfully and finally laugh together. Rani holds his hands saying she likes this Raja not that tensed one.
She promises that they won’t keep secrets from each other, he must also promise to share everything with her. Raja was hurt, jerks her hand away and leave the room. Rani says alright, if he has to be like this alright.Bari Rani Maa thinks that Jeewan lit a good fire. She lost for sure, but they both also didn’t win.Meenu was teasing Rani at night, Bindu comes to say Raja likes red more than pink. Meenu replies Raja likes Rani more than any color. Bindu boasts about knowing Raja’s likings, and can teach her. Rani thanks as she will find herself what her husband likes or dislikes. Bindu thinks Raaj is only hers.
In the room, Raja stood beside a window crying, as he recalls Rani’s promise about not keeping any secrets. Shashi brings a drink to him which he gulps at once, then takes the other too.There, Bindu stood near Rani’s wedding bed and think she can’t let Rani’s dreams fulfil, and throws liquor over the bed. Rani arrives into the room with friends, Amrita advices her to forget her old fights, tonight they will begin a new life. Raja stood in the corridor, he thinks he must get an old story to its goal before beginning a new one. But if he confesses the truth, he and Rani might not be able to begin any story again, how he must tell Rani that she is the same but he isn’t the same.
Bari Rani Maa comes to warn Raja of not breaking his wife’s heart on this night. Raja thinks Rani trusts him that he won’t hide anything from her, he tells Bari Rani Maa that in life sometimes love is overpowered by trust, but she won’t understand. Bari Rani Maa fears that everything would end if Raja tells Rani about the truth.
Raja comes into the room where Rani sat veiled on the bed. He speaks to Rani that they both had dreams about tonight, but their reality is of stone. He can no more bear this truth, she understood that the Raja she married isn’t the one she loved. He came to know something on their day of marriage that changed his whole life. He narrates the whole story to Rani. He agrees he should have told her before, but he was afraid. He now understood he can’t hide anything from her. Rani sat motionless. Raja push her away, she fell down unconscious. Raja was worried.
Amrita asks Raja why he is so worried, she is tired and must be asleep. Raja was tensed that he told her about the truth. He couldn’t lie to her anymore. Amrita slaps him, wondering how he can be so selfish. Rani is getting happiness for the first time in life, she got something in life for the first time; he wants to burn her life? This truth will turn her life into tears. Raja agrees to her, and accepts he was selfish. He says he won’t share this truth with Rani until she gains courage to hear about it, he will be her support so that the day she come to know she married her parent’s murderer’s son she can bear this pain. He decisively says until he shares the truth and in spite of this truth she accepts him as her husband, there will be no relations between her and Rani.
The next morning, Kokilla comes to Bindu saying its not fair, she also wants to see. Bari Rani Maa comes from behind, Bindu appreciates her plan that her sleeping medicine really worked. Raja and Rani couldn’t meet. Kokilla says it was of no use, Raja helped Rani with the pillow and then stared her for long. Bari Rani maa says it was for a single night, she wants a permanent fix. She must speak to Amrita.In the morning, Rani hits Raja sleeping on the floor. She sits beside him, caressing his mouth, teasing him by opening his eyes by her own hands then wonder if it’s a bear who doesn’t move.
There, Amrita serves Bari Rani Maa with tea and was worried that Munh Dikhai needs a lot of preparations. Bari Rani Maa asks her not to worry, all the arrangements will be made. She was sure after tonight, Rani won’t be able to show face to anyone.In the room, Raja was still asleep. Rani comes to tease his nose with her wet hair, he sneezes hard and wakes up questions what’s this way. Rani laughs this is a good way, she asks him to see the time. It was 7am, Raja calls her a witch as it’s just 7 in morning and get to sleep again. Raja wonders what she wants from him, she was annoyed and turns her face away. Raja turns his face away, calling her a child. Rani thinks he doesn’t care if she speaks to him or not.
She goes to mirror struggling with the knots of her blouse. Raja thinks she will never ask for help, Rani thinks he would only stare but won’t come to help. Raja comes to ask if he should do so, Rani leaves the knot; Raja says he considers her silence as a yes. He keep on touching her back, and says he would stop only when she asks him not to. Rani turns to him and asks him to choose one of the hands, there was her mangal sooter in it. She then presents a sindoor box to him, he happily picks some to tease her cheek then puts some in her head partition, hiding his laugh. Rani turns to see some dropping over her nose. There was a knock at the door, Rani goes to check it was Jeewan.
He was shocked watching her dressed up and sindoor fallen over her cheek. He says he thought they must have got ready, but had forgotten that mornings after such nights are really late. She gives her the form for next semester, as he thought she might get late because of weddings. Raja slaps the door on Jeewan’s face, and tells her to wake him up when she is done.In the function ladies ask Amrita about the bride. Amrita cheers watching Rani arrive with Meenu. Meenu asks Rani how she feels, Rani tells Meenu she slept last night and Raja didn’t wake her up. Bindu thinks she will keep them away today. Bari Rani Maa stops her saying this wedding night will be fulfilled today, in front of everyone. She whispers the idea in Bindu’s ears.
Meenu watches Raja angry and asks why Raja is angry. Rani says he is always angry, Meenu goes to get drink for her. Rani was determined to be stubborn in front of him. Bindu offers her a drink, Rani gulps it then feels bad. Bindu tells Rani to get ready in next 15 minutes. Meenu brings the drink later, Rani watches Bindu go to Raja. She goes to speak to Raja as he is her husband, she will only speak to him. She comes to Bindu, and as if in a hangover tells Bindu that Raja is her husband and she will only speak to him. Bindu wonders what’s wrong with her and leaves the hall. Rani complains Raja why he didn’t wake her up last night, Raja tries to lower her voice but she wasn’t in control.
She complains why he didn’t wake her up, not every night is a wedding night. Raja warns her that this isn’t a place to talk about it, and leaves her side. Raja keeps on following him till the room.
Inside the room, Rani questions Raja if she is fat, or there are some problems with her nose or eye; then why is he always angry. Raja assures there is nothing like that. Rani asks why he didn’t do that after wedding, then feels shy about discussing it. She asks why he didn’t kiss her. Raja recalls his vow last night, about telling her the truth. Raja insists on Rani to go out, he wonders if Rani is drunk but she never drinks, if someone else… There is a knock at the door, Raja shuts her mouth all at once.
Amrita passes by and asks the lady to go to another washroom. The lady hears Rani and Raja inside the washroom, and knocks again. Raja shuts Rani’s mouth.
Rani drools around Raja singing for him. Everyone in the palace could her this, ladies gossip against the couple. Amrita felt ashamed. Raja holds Rani in his arms out of washroom, the ladies had gathered around. The ladies call Rani down ridden, Raja asks if they are even aware which family Rani belongs to and who has brought her up. Kaal comes out, Raja leaves. The ladies around wonders what else would happen if common girls are married into royal families?
In the room, Raja lay Rani in the bed. Kaal curses Amrita not being able to control her daughter in law. Amrita says as much as she know Rani she won’t take any such action deliberately. Kaal was about to hold his hand over Amrita for arguing, Raja comes there saying Rani can’t do this by herself. He know her wife well.
Meenu comes from behind saying she know well what happened, she blames Lovey to have made Rani drink something. They all look towards Bindu. Meenu says Lovey is really jealous of Rani already. Bindu was offensive, Raja drags Bindu downstairs. He smells the glass Rani had put down, and makes Bindu smell it. He inquires Bindu what’s in it. Bindu says she had taken a drink from the table. Bari Rani Maa comes to smell the cold drink on table, then slaps Bindu. She scolds Bindu that Rani must never have touched wine, but Bindu must have known that was not only cold drink, but wine was mixed in it. She know already that people drink wine this way, in parties. Bindu apologizes Bari Rani Maa, but Bari Rani Maa slaps her again as such mistakes are only answered by punishments.
Amrita come to insult Bindu as her mistake ruined their respect, she and Meenu also leave behind Raja. Bari Rani Maa apologizes Bindu.In the room, Raja speaks to Rani that she will have to pass a lot of tests only because of him, she must pass through a number of testimonies and has to be strong.There, Bindu asks Bari Rani Maa what she has been cooking. Bari Rani Maa says they have to play their next bid now and break down Rani and Raja’s relation. Bindu must go to Raja right now.
In the room, Rani wakes up and asks Raja what happened. Raja asks if she really doesn’t remember anything, Rani recalls herself being with Raja in the washroom.
She apologizes as she wasn’t conscious. Raja says Lovey made her drink wine mixed cold drink. Rani was sure Lovey did this intentionally. Raja was angry at Rani that he is concerned with what Rani does, why she gave Lovey a chance in the first place. He has been friends with Lovey since childhood, then why Rani has a problem with it now. He turns around offering her a glass of water and thinks he isn’t going away from her, he would always belong to her. He wipes her tears, then turns to Rani complaining that she is no more the same Rani. She lost all her dreams, and became Raja’s wife only. He can be a companion, not a support and doesn’t want Rani to become a burden for him.
Raja comes into the corridor, Amrita asks Raja why he is being strict with Rani. Raja says a soil rots in sunshine, Rani has to be strong enough not to need any support again. In the room, Rani took her jewelry off consoling herself that Raja is only annoyed with her. Amrita comes in, Rani allows Amrita to punish her. Amrita smiles that it wasn’t her mistake, she brings Rani Gajar Ka Halwa. Rani says in childhood whenever she was happy Dadu used to make this for her, but how Amrita knows about it. Amrita boasts about being a mother.
Bindu comes to boxing room behind Raja. He screams over her angry. Kokilla tells Rani that no daughter in law settle all at once, she must give Raja sometime. She takes Rani along. In the corridor, Bindu stops Raja, she was crying and tells Raja she committed this mistake for some reason. He is her life, she loves him dearly.
Raja watches Rani coming with Kokilla, he thinks he must do something to keep Rani away from himself and comes close to Bindu accepting he never understood her love.
