Anupama 17 August 2022: Anupama thinks family is trying to keep her happy as she is leaving home after divorce. She serves aarti to everyone. Baa emotionally cries, and Vanraj consoles her. Kavya gets jealous seeing that and thinks these people are behaving as if they shifted here permanently. Anu gets happy seeing her masala boxes there. Samar says her masala boxes were incomplete without her, so mamaji brought them here. Kinjal video calls Anu. Anu asks who is she and when will she come. Kinjal says once her international conference is finished, she will return and they will enjoy a lot. Anu asks her to take care of herself, have food on time, and shows her masala boxes.
Jealous Kavya thinks though location has changed, situation hasn’t; V and Anu are together even now and she is alone, worries if she will be alone forever reminiscing all the recent incidents.Family cheers up Anu with a performance on Sawal-e-asmaan tha, Jawabon se bhara hai.. song and dances with her. Kavya signals Vanraj to come out. He walks to her. She congratulates him that he got one more chance to live with Anu, he is giving an excuse of Anu’s illness. Vanraj asks if she didn’t she Anu’s reports.She says its not written in the report that she has to stay with Anu and cannot divorce her. He asks if she wants him to tell Anu that he is not bothered about her illness and wants divorce. She says Anu’s treatment will continue for long. He asks if she wants him to ransack Anu. She says there are other family members to take care of Anu.
He says Anu is his wife who served whole family for 25 years and when she is ill, does she want him to leave her alone. She shouts to stay with her then as he has already called his family here and made a resort his home. He asks how can she be so insensitive. She continues arguing and asks if his and Anu’s divorce will happen or not. He says it will, but not on her terms; once Anus’ advanced medical reports come, they will know the seriousness of her illness; Anu needs both family and treatment now, so he will make sure she gets both. She asks if he will leave her alone then.He asks why she compares herself to his family; Anu is his wife and its his duty to take care of her. She asks what about her, why he ignores her always. He says she should understand that Anu has served him when he needed her most and now its his duty to serve her and she should understand that they both are responsible for Anu’s condition. She walks away yelling. He thinks he is not that selfish and will support Anu when she needs it most.
Anu finds herb for preparing tea and thinks Baa will be happy with its taste and thinks whose permission to take to pluck some leaves. Advaith walks to her and say she can take it with Kanhaji’s permission when no one is around to take permission and asks if he can also have a cup of tea. She happily agrees and says she she will introduce him to her family. He says he is surprised seeing her positivity even in this condition. In cottage, Pakhi cries fearing for Anu.Baa says she will slap the illness and kick her out of Anu’s body and hopes Bapuji was here. Mamaji says he is here to support them all, but they should remind him repeatedly that he shouldn’t inform bahu about her illness. Nandini asks what if Dr. Advaith has informed Anu aunty already. Anu asks Advaith what does he mean. He says usually people lose their courage hearing about their illness. Anu reminisces family’s concern for her and asks what does he think about her report.
He informs that she has a tumor in her ovaries. She sis shocked to hear that and drops her basket. He says situation is serious, but doctors don’t give up easily. She reminisces all the recent incidents of family’s concern for her. He asks how is she feeling now, if she didn’t know about it. He asks if she will die. He says everyone will die some day, some early and some late. She asks how much time she has left. She says only Kanhaji can answer that, but he can answer at what stage her tumor is after her advanced reports are back. He says when thieves barge into home, they have to fight with them; similarly their body needs to fight with illness and he will help her in it. She walks away. He thinks he knows she is worried for her family more than herself.
Anu walks reminiscing all the recent incidents again and this why didn’t anyone inform her about it, her Kinjal hasn’t yet learnt to handle the house, Samar hasn’t started his career yet, who will take care of Baa and Bapuji, who will get Samar and Nandini married, who will handle Sweety’s studies. She runs and stops seeing border ends here board; thinks her leaving home was very difficult for her family, how will they tolerate her leaving the world; how will family handle her illness burden; she has kept her FD and jewelry for Sweety; Kanhaji should do whatever he has to soon as she doesn’t want to be a burden on her family. She lies down and cries loudly shouting.Baa waiting for Anu asks family if bahu went to bring tea masala or cultivate it. Pakhi says mummy went long ago. Mamaji asks if Anu forgot the route. Baa says everyone is not like him. Vanraj tries to go out, but stops noticing Kavya in her cottage. Mamaji asks if Anu fell unconscious.
Samar and Vanraj try rush out when they stop seeing Anu. Samar asks Anu what was rock star doing for so long. Baa says she prepared pani puri for mummy. Pakhi says she prepared tea for mummy. Vanraj asks if she didn’t prepare tea for her. Pakhi says he likes mummy’s tea. Baa serves pani puri. Samar says he has downloaded mummy’s favorite movies, Vanraj says they will watch movies near bonfire tonight. Mamaji jokes. Samar says they will enjoy a lot. Mamaji jokes again why did they call Baa if they are enjoying. Baa scolds him. Anu starts laughing loudly Everyone stop laughing hearing her. She asks why did they stop laughing as they wanted to keep her happy, asks each family member what will they do to keep her happy. Vanraj asks what’s wrong with her. She asks why didn’t they all inform her about her report and hid her illness and fact that she can die; till when they would have hidden it; would the illness have run away with their act; had they thought that they would hide it and stop her death.
Vanraj shouts to shut up and not talk like that she will not die, she got a wrong information as its not confirmed; asks if she will add salt in food while cooking directly or check the taste and then add, similarly without reports they cannot decide anything; she can shout and cry after reports come. Anu asks them to stop their fake laugh if they care for her as she wants their true laugh and love and not pitiness; if they think she will be afraid, she is a mother who is afraid everyday; when her Samar fell down from bed, she was afraid; when Toshu was hurt, she was afraid; she was small when her father died, she tolerated a lot including infidelity, so illness is nothing for her; she has to die if not today or 2 months later; when Kanhaji has written her fate, why should she stop living and die before her death. Baa asks why did god do this to her.
Anu says if fate can change by preparing prasad, all cooks and women would have become immortal; she is also afraid of death, not for her, but for dear ones. She is not afraid of thinking what will happen to her, but what will happen to her family after her; whatever has to happen will happen, so they shouldn’t pity on her as she needs support and not pitiness; whenever she loses hope, Baa should pull her hair and warn her not to lose hope; they are all her weakness and strength and should become her strength this time as they cannot run away from this truth.Dr. Advaith seeks his another doctor friend’s support in Anupama’s case. Baa emotionally feeds dhokla to Anu and apologizes. Anu hugs her. Baa says she forgot that she is Anupama who never gets afraid and fights for them always; when she can fight with nagin/Rakhi and school authority, illness is nothing. Pakhi, Samar, Nandin, and Mamanji also apologize her. Anu says let us live today completely and forget about tomorrow. Baa says she should let them take care of her. samar says she should allow Dr. Advaith to treat her.
She agrees and says she wants to spend a lot of time with her children, see their marriage and children, Baa’s taunts, see her children’s dreams fulfilling, etc. Samar lifts her and takes her out to play hide and seek game. An energetic song Sooraj Ki Bahon me.. plays in the background. Dr. Advaith notices that and thumbs up Vanraj. Family enjoys different games. Baa says Anu won game and should win even ilfe. Anu says yes. They all dance then. Kavya watches them jealously. Anu gets dizzy, but controls herself and gets more happy when Samar and Vanraj dance and hug each other. Anu asks Vanraj to go to Kavya. He says he will go later and continues enjoying with family.Jealous Kavya thinks if Vanraj needs only his family, then why don’t he inform her and end their issue. Advaith meets her and introduces himself and asks her to call him as Adi.
She says she is Kavya, Vanraj’s friend. He says that is why she is crying alone seeing Vanraj enjoying with family. She asks if she looks angry. He asks her to be silent till her anger calms down. She asks what should she do. He gives her bat and asks her to vent out her anger on the hanging ball. Vanraj stands thinking aside. Anu offers him tea. He says everything happened because of him, he feels responsible for her condition and is feeling guilty; he wants to apologize her and support her, she will defeat her illness easily, he is with her as a support.She says she doesn’t need anyone’s support or concern as her family is there for that; he shouldn’t blame himself for her condition as relationships give happiness and sorrow to mind and not body, whatever is written in fate will happen, so he should talk about showing concern for her.He says he can support her at least; though he is not a reason for her illness, he wants to be a companion of her happiness. She asks if he wants to support her, then he should marry Kavya.
