Mismatched 24 January 2022: The Episode starts with Shaurya, Tej and board members checking applications. Tej favors Vedika. The lady says sorry, Anokhi Bhalla has topped all the subjects. Tej gets angry and says she is Saberwal, not Bhalla, if we give this job to our bahu, it will look that we are favoring her. Shaan says we are seeing her qualifications, I think we should give her a chance. The ladies agree. Alok says we should see that with a different angle, she is newly married, she has pressure being a new bahu, she won’t be able to give her 100% to this job. The lady says but Anokhi has applied for this job. Shaan says we never looked at the marital status of the candidate before. Tej asks Shaurya what is his opinion. Shaurya recalls Devi’s words.
Aastha says I m also worried now. Anokhi says if Shaurya rejects my application, then there would be a big reason, I will accept his decision. Shaurya says I agree with Shaan and others, I had been Anokhi’s professor, I know she can do multi tasking, she can fulfill her responsibilities well, I think she is the best candidate. She says I want to open a public institute to provide low cost education, I will name it Bhalla institute, I will dedicate it to my mum and dad, I want to open doors for many Anokhis, I got support from Aastha and Shaurya, every girl should get support. Aastha says you work hard and stick firmly to your dreams, your journey will be tough. Anokhi says I know, so I m taking slow steps, I will reach my destination. Shaurya comes and says actually…. He gives an envelope. Anokhi smiles reading the letter. He says congrats, welcome onboard. Anokhi hugs him. He says its college, what are you doing. Anokhi hugs Aastha and Reema.
Devi says I thought Shaurya will think of my words. Alok says we have to play a big game. Devi says I have seen them fighting, they are stubborn and have much ego, ego burns a relation, we have to hurt their ego and then they will be drifted apart. Shaurya comes to the room. He sees a romantic surprise. He sees the red flowers and balloons decorations. Anokhi comes. Shaurya says if you are doing this because I considered your application, then I m not responsible for it, you deserved it. Shaurya looks on.Anokhi saying I can add Saberwal to my name, but I don’t want to remove Bhalla, my name will be Anokhi Bhalla Saberwal. Shaurya asks what’s the problem, its normal. Anokhi says I m happy to link Saberwal to my name, I m just refusing to remove Bhalla from my name. Shaurya says you are my wife, Shaurya Saberwal should be linked to your name. Devi says don’t argue with her, whatever we say, this girl has a problem always.
Devi says when I came to Sasural, my name was changed to Devi, you are fortunate, just surname is getting changed, what’s the new thing, any girl who gets married, her name is changed, you have a habit to always do a drama. Anokhi says when your name was changed, did you not feel bad. Alok says this is not the matter, you have to change your name. Anokhi asks how will the Sasural respect get affected by this. Shaurya asks is it imp to always get stubborn. Anokhi says no, try to understand my point of view, how can I end my identity, this surname is my identity always, whatever I have achieved.
Tej asks what’s the comparison or equality in these surnames. Anokhi says equality is not just by money, Bhalla family has much respect in Kapurthala. Tej asks why, because Babli is getting divorced, or that you ran away from your house. Anokhi says don’t get personal things in between. Shaurya asks Kanchan to explain Anokhi. Kanchan says yes, it should be personal choice of any girl, I had no problem with the change, but others can have a problem, we should respect their thinking, girls use both surnames these days, their Sasural people don’t lose respect.
Alok scolds Kanchan. Shaurya says Anokhi, Aastha also changed her name to Saberwal. Anokhi asks what happened then, she changed her name, even then she didn’t get her rights in this house. Kanchan says if Anokhi doesn’t want to remove Bhalla from her name, then there would be some reason, we shouldn’t force her. Alok asks her to shut up. She stops Shaurya and says hi, Mr. Bachelor. He says she said so, what’s my mistake. She says very nice. He asks her to go to class. She says you want to flirt with new teachers. He says I didn’t, she was flirting. She scolds him.
She says I should change name and apply sindoor, you want to have bachelor tag. He says its not her mistake, we made a mistake in understanding her, she made her name more beautiful, she isn’t wrong. Devi says just Anokhi will be here, Shaurya will be somewhere behind. Tej says yes, she is right, you may change your name to Shaurya Bhalla. Shaurya says Anokhi has every right to keep any name she wants, she is giving us respect, it doesn’t matter if she is Anokhi Shaurya Saberwal or Anokhi Bhalla Saberwal, our love doesn’t end, what’s in a name, lets end this discussion here. He goes.
Devi says Tej, our son isn’t ours now, people say right, some bahus come home and divide the house, she isn’t able to separate her surname, but she is making us separated from our son. Anokhi hears this and feels bad.
