Anupama 29 December 2022: Vanraj taunts if Anupama and her boyfriend didn’t return yet. Anu enters with Anuj and says they had gone to get sweet to celebrate good news. Kinjal thanks her and apologizes that birthday party is stopped in the middle because of her. Anu says birthday comes every year, but the happiness she gave will not come often. Kinjal says even then. Baa says any grandmother/daadi doesn’t look good celebrating birthday, grandmother looks good celebrating grandhchildrfen’s birthday and doing pooja and teerath yatra/religious travel. Mamaji jokes great grandmother means very old, toothless, ICU. Bapuji tells Baa that any woman’s total identity is not one relationship and just like a heroine performs different roles where she performs pooja paat in 1 film, a housewife in another, a 16-year-old young loving girl in another, similarly every woman is a heroine who performs these roles; even she is a pooja paat performing daadi and a shying woman when he praises her beauty. Daadi shies.
Bapuji says Daadi doesn’t shy, but a 16-year-old girl in her shes; similarly, Anupama is a housewife, a daadi, and a 16-year-old girl who will also love and celebrate her birthday.Samar presents a 45-dish thali to Anupama to celebrate her 45th birthday. Mamaji jokes its a 44-1/2 dish thali as didi finished half cup kheer. Baa says she was feeling hungry. Anu thanks them all and identifies who prepared each dish. Bapuji says she had cut the cake last night, so they thought of doing something else. Samar says mummy always spent birthdays in kitchen whether its their birthday, her birthday, or Kanhaji’s birthday; she was happy but was not participating in birthdays as she was busy in the kitchen always. Anu emotionally hugs him. Bapuji says they will sing for Anu today. They make her sit and taste the dishes. She shares imlie candy with Anuj, leaving Vanrja jealous. Vanraj says he will speak to Toshu. Anuj notices them together. Vanraj tells Anu that a man is like a kid who wants to run away from responsibility, but baby is a responsibility that cannot be escaped and one has to sacrifice their freedom; Tosh is afraid of it, but will realize it soon.Baa orders Kinjal to take a break from job till her delivery. Kinjal says she can’t. Baa gives Dolly’s example who took 1 year’s leave from job. Dolly says her pregnancy was complicated. Baa says she doesn’t know all that. Anu hearing her conversation says she never took leave from household work during her 3 pregnancies and even doctor suggests to work. She asks if bAa stopped working during her pregnancies. Baa says she didn’t. Anu says its Kinjal’s body and her wish. Baa walks away angrily warning her to stop giving 5-page lecture and not interfere in their family issues as she is an outsider now. Anu feeds kheer to Kinjal and asks if she informed her mother/Rakhi. Kinjal says she knows what happened last time. Anu says its between her and Rakhi, but Kinjal as a daughter should have a cordial relationship with her mother. Kinjal says her mother is a drama queen. Anu gives a lengthy moral gyaan regarding maika/mother’s place and mother.
Meenu brings a gift box for Baa and says someone left it for her. Baa excitedly opens it asking who must have sent it and shouts in fear seeing a fake snake. Samar says its fake. Mamaji says it has bindi, means its nagin. Baa says nagin means Rakhi Dave. They all hear music outside and walk out to see Rahki dancing in style.Rakhi enters Shah house dancing on drum beats. Vanraj remembers their tussle. Baa fumes that Rakhi is revealing their happiness to neighbors before 3 months and ruining their right. Rakhi walks to them remembering Anu kicking her out of house and greets Shah, Anuj, and GK with her usual arrogant attitude. She says she got the good news via her sources. She then gets emotional looking at Kinjal. Anu sends Kinjal to her. Rakhi pampers and hugs Kinjal. Kinjal and Toshu take her blessings. Anupama thinks her mother didn’t get this happiness as Baa never invited her mother during her pregnancy, but Kinjal will not be divided b between maika and sasural.
Rakhi calls Anupama as Daadi, and Anu calls Rakhi as naani and greets her. Kinjal performs Kinjal and Toshu’s nazar and dances with Anu. Others join her except Vanraj. Anu walks to Vanraj and asks him to drop his anger for his grandson’s sake. He also joins them. Rakhi then tells Kinjal to accompany her as her grandson will be born in a place and not lower middle class locality. Anu tries to speak. Rakhi says before she gives her gyaan, let her as if her ex-husband, Baa, Toshu, Kavya changed with her gyaan, then why she lectures for 20 minutes minimum. Anuj says that is because Anupama doesn’t leave her hope and Rakhi doesn’t stop her misbehavior. Rakhi asks who is he, does she really know him, remembering Anuj not identifying him. Vanraj grins hearing that. Kinjal says she met him at cafe. Rakhi says its not flashing. Anuj says its alright as tublelight takes time to flash. Rakhi gets angry and warns him to not act oversmart. Anuj says finally tublight flashed. Anu grins at Vanraj.apuji tells Rakhi let us go in and talk. Rakhi says yes and walks in remembering challenging Anu that she will return soon. Anuj and GK stand outside and tell Anu that its Shah family’s issue and they cannot interfere. Anu apologizes. Anuj leaves asking her to return home soon. In car, Anuj tells GK that he feels something is wrong. Back at Shah house, Meenu tells Dolly that she doesn’t like Rakhi’s drama and hence will be in her room wearing her headset. Rakhi taunts Shahs if they became more poor since her last visit. Baa warns her to mind her tongue. Rakhi says they dont’ have basic amenities for her daughter’s comfort. Baa says they have everything here. Rakhi asks Kavya who says they don’t even have AC in every room, his bathroom’s geyser is not working, etc. Vanraj stops her.
Anu asks Rakhi to question her daughter also. Kinjal says she is happy here. Rakhi says lotus gets habituated to dirt staying it for long; they have 9 members already in this house with Anu, her boyfriend and his mummy’s regular visits, and her ex-MIL and FIL’s romance with their partners above that. Vanraj gets angry hearing that. Rakhi says she will be a maid like Anupama in this house and will get luxurious facilities and peace at her home. Baa asks if Kinjal can get gond laddus and will staff pray for her like a family; this house makes sound as its alive and not dead and silent like Rakhi’s house, Rakhi should go in exile on a mountain if she wants peace. Rakhi says hr family members will run away if they get luxuries amenities and asks Kavya if she is right. Baa warns that Kinjal will stay at their house.Anu asks them to calm down. Rakhi says nobody will listen to her adivc, especially this old hag. Baa warns her to dare not call her old hag and threatens to slap her. Anu stops them again and tells them though they love Kinjal a lot, only has right to take a decision. She asks Kinjal to think well for a few days and decide. Samar, Bapuji, and Mamaji say they will respect her decision. Vanraj asks how can family bahu stay in other’s house during pregnancy. Samar says a woman goes through many physical and emotional changes during pregnancy. Anu extends moral gyaan. Kinjal praises Anu’s progressive thinking and thanks her for being her mother. Rakhi gets angry and asks if she is an outsider. Kinjal says she is also her mother and apologizes her for not giving her good news beforehand, and says she loves her sasural and visit Rakhi often.
