This is fate 23 December 2021: Preeta reveals Sherlin is the real murderer, the entire family is shocked to hear the blame, Mahesh stands asking what is she saying, Karina also questions what is she saying as she before accepted she is the murderer but is now blaming Sherlin,
the judge warns them to not create a scene otherwise he would send them out of the courtroom, The judge questions Preeta how is she going to prove that Sherlin is the murderer, Preeta at once mentions that she completely trusts the law of her nation so would prove Sherlin is the murderer, Sherlin however stands saying that Preeta is lying and is only blaming her because she hates her, Preeta refuses to accept she did it for her personally quarrel but is saying it because when Sherlin was leaving the hotel, a waiter named Rohit saw her, the judge asks Sherlin
to sit down then exclaims the court would not believe the words of Preeta but requires proof, Preeta explains she has brought the proof as the waiter Rohit is present in the court, agreeing to testify against Sherlin. The defendant requests to call the waiter Rohit, he is given the permission.
Everyone turns back to see Rohit coming to the witness box, he stands gazing at Sherlin, Preeta recalls when she and Shristhi met Rohit in the hotel, they both tried to ask him about the murder of Akshay, requesting him to reveal each and every information which he has, he however before refused to accept the proposal to come to the court, she pleaded with him to help them as it would benefit them both because Karan would be freed, Rohit then agreed be the witness.
Rohit swears to speak the truth, the lawyer asks if he knows Sherlin, Rohit replies he saw her a couple of times in the hotel, the prosecutor tries to object but it is sustained, the waiter mentions he saw Sherlin at the floor where Akshay was murdered and she was in a hurry and they both collided, he fell but she called the murder so he mentioned that he just fell but did not die, she confirmed if he was going to Akshay’s room.
Sherlin says that she did not see him before so how she could has bumped into him, the judge mentions that she would be given a fair chance to speak at the witness box, Rohit reveals he did not say she is the murderer but only that she was really scared and even apologized, the prosecutor tries to make an objection however it is once again sustained. Rohit once again explains she also asked him to also not die, if he just fell then why did she talk of dyeing, the defendant reveals it was shown in the post-mortem report of Akshay the cause of his death was a blow to the back of his head from falling to the ground.
Sherlin once again questions why he did not come before if he knew the truth as the proceedings were happening so it is sure that someone has given him money and it is no one other then Preeta, because she does not like her so is trying to ruin her life, Preeta however starts arguing saying Rohit did not come before because he had seen the murderer and was scared, so was also leaving his job, Sherlin blames she however brought him to ruin her life, they both get into an argument, the judge warns them of contempt of court if they keep on fighting. They all take their seats, the judge orders Preeta to come and say everything she desires in the witness box.
Preeta once again stands in the witness box, Sherlin thinks she must save herself otherwise would be get a life sentence, Preeta explains it from the start that Sherlin went to meet Akshay before the murder, she explains that the footage of that day was deleted but she had gone to meet him before. She has submitted the footage, the judge sees it, the defence mentions then why would someone go to meet another person if they are not involved, he reveals that just like the Karan is innocent he requests the judge to take Sherlin in custody as she is guilty, so he requests that Karan be freed.
The judge questions Preeta if she has anything else to say, she requests the judge to return the Luthra family their son as if the case is delayed even further then it would cause her innocent husband to remain in jail so she requests shim to give a verdict, the judge explains that today the court would not live any further date but a decision after the break.
Karina is frustrated with Rakhi asking how Preeta dared blame Sherlin as she cannot murder Akshay, she asks if Rakhi knew about it, but she replies she did not but believes that if Preeta has said something against Sherlin it would be because of a reason, Preeta comes so Karina questions what was she thinking while blaming Sherlin as she can understand there are some quarrels but it is a heinous way, Preeta replies she did not do it because of any quarrel but because Sherlin while being a member of their family has gone against them, Rakhi however tries to calm Karina but she replies that Rakhi as the mother in law should have scolded Preeta however she doesnot say anything, Karina mentions she at first thought Preeta is not as bad as she thinks but what she has done today has once again shattered her trust, Karina leaves without listening to anything, Rakhi asks Peeta to not feel bad of what Karina has said because she really likes Sherlin so has gotten mad,
Rakhi mention what happens if what she has said in the court is true as it would hurt them a lot because Sherlin is the elder daughter in law of the family so what would happen if it comes to light that Sherlin send Karan to jail. Rakhi is worried of what would happen as she is worried when Rishab comes to know about what is happening as Sherlin is pregnant and how can they survive, Preeta tries to stop but she leaves, so Preeta thinks she knows if anything wrong happens to them then she would hurt as she is a mother, she doesnot have any other way so would have to reveal the truth to the outside world.
Mahira questions Shelrin why did she bring her out like this, Sherlin requests her to help her but Mahira mentions she cannot help her as they are in the court so she cannot take her blame, Sherlin requests her to be sympathetic and bring something but Mahira refuses so turns to leave, Preeta is standing there when Mahira gets stunned so leaves them, Preeta questions what did Sherlin think as she always gets trapped by Sherlin but would not lose as it is the matter of her husband, Sherlin warns her saying she would not be scared of Preeta and would prove that she is not the murderer, Preeta asks why is she scared and accept she is the murderer but Sherlin exclaims she is not the murderer, Preeta asks then how did he die but Sherlin mentions those who are born have to die, Sherlin demands Preeta stop
as it would have severe consequences, Preeta is worried when Sherlin leaves warning her, Sameer comes to Preeta asking her to come as the court hearing is about to begin, He notices she is tensed but she refuses to say anything before walking.
Rakhi is with Karan, she asks him to not be worried of what Preeta said in the court, Karan asks if she believes Preeta is lying but Rakhi says that it is not the case as they all know that she cannot do anything wrong and even know he is not the murderer, he assures him that he would be released but explains if it is proven that Sherlin is the murderer then it would be really wrong for their family, she however exclaims she will never be able to forgive Sherlin for what she has done, the inspector comes asking Karan to come as the court hearing is about to begin, Rakhi asks Karan to not be worried, he leaves while she prays that everything happen that saves her family.
Sherlin is walking when Prithvi comes from the front, she stops him while he turns to run, she demands he help her but he is hesitant saying that he feels she cannot be helped as the matter is in the court, he asked her to be careful and not think that she is really clever as others can also harm her, Sherlin however says she has done everything for him and asks him to remember what would happen if they all find out he is the real father of the child as he would also be thrown out of the house, she asks him to thin what would happen of their relation when Kritika comes asking what is the relation she is talking about, Prithvi mentions she is trying to say that Preeta doesnot seem to think they both should be engaged. Kritika takes him away asking what has happened, Prithvi tries to convince Kritika that Sherlin is really tensed and innocent, Kritika asks him to not trust Sherlin so blindly as she is not trustworthy, she leaves with him, Prithvi exclaims he cannot help Sherlin and stand against Preeta.
The court hearing resumes, the judge asks police if they have tested the video, the inspector mentions the video which Preeta has presented is the truth, Sherlin also stands demanding to speak for herself, she hires the court prosecutor who calls Megha to the witness box, the lawyer questions Megha if she met Sherlin, he tries to convince the court that she met her after two days of the murder, Megha however mentions it was Sherlin who called her to the room where Akshay was murdered. However, the prosecutor mentions Rohit is confused but he left after two days to perform the last rites of his father, the inspector confirms that Rohit left the hotel after two days.
The lawyer calls Sherlin to the witness box, Sherlin is questioned why did she go to meet Megha, she replies she went for Karan not knowing that she would be blamed for protecting her family, she explains that she only went to give Megha the money because she was blackmailing her saying she had some proof but in reality she is the one who murdered Akshay, Megha tries to defend herself explaining she cannot kill the person who was about to become the father of her child, Sherlin however blames Megha saying she demanded money from her and so is really clever, Megha tries to plead her innocence but Sherlin questions if she did not demand the money from her, Sherlin reveals she made the biggest mistake of her life by stealing the jewellery of Rakhi, the entire Luthra family is shocked, Sherlin mentions that she did not had the money but then is happy because she got the proof that Megha is the murderer,
Megha standing pleads saying that she is telling the lie and Preeta is revealing the truth, Sherlin however responds that Megha must not lie as she has come to know the truth, if everyone is questioning she would reveal the truth, she indeed went to meet Akshay at the hotel but it was because he was blackmailing Kritika, he had some videos and photos of her which he was using as a tool so she desired to protect the honor of their family, Preeta is stunned to hear how well Sherlin is able to mold the truth.
