Once there was a king 8 June 2022: In the steam room, Rani tries to get outside calling Raja’s name. Raja runs to follow the call. He calls Rani to come forward joining his hands. Rani comes to hold his hands, concerned. She says this doesn’t suit Raja. Raja says this isn’t the palace anymore, she liked how Raja called her. She reminds Raja about her promise to kill Naina.
Raja asks Rani about his wife. The lights blink again, Rani insists his wife is here in front of him. Raja requests Rani not to do this, the Rani he loved can never take someone’s life. Rani disappears, then appears in his paintings reading a riddle in poetic way. She comes to him again and asks if he wanted to save Naina from the whole world, but she doesn’t belong to this world. She tells him to find Naina through this riddle, she can’t promise Naina’s life anyway. She warns about time slipping off his hands.
Rani lay on the floor in the room, there was steam coming out from jets. Raja walked across the corridor trying to figure out the riddle. He stops by a train dummy and asks if it’s about steam room. He runs towards the steam room, Naina was lying on floor unconscious. Raja goes to hold her up.
Raja carries Naina to hall. Naina wakes up but doesn’t remember anything. Rekha and Mummy were worried. Raja assures nothing happened to her as he hugged her close. Rani watched this from a distance. She tries to move on but can’t. Raaj Mata opens the door with Vindia Vasi. Rani was stuck in place, then vanishes.
In the room, Rani comes to an old lady who sat with the black cat in the chair. Rani says she fall weak as an old lady entered the house, what she must do. The lady hands her a red pack, Rani asks if this would save her from that lady. No body, even Raja would be able to see her? Rani says she was and will always be Raja’s shadow, he would never be able to part her away from himself.
Naina denies that Rani’s soul is behind this all. Raja tells Naina that Rani is here nearby, she wants him to leave Naina. Naina calls Rani’s soul. Rani stood on a side swirling the red bag. Rani says she won’t be visible to anyone now. Vidia Vasi says she is here. Rekha screams of fear. Raaj Mata asks about her whereabouts. Vidia Vasi says souls are not body, Rani’s soul is here nearby and can only be felt. Raja says she must have been visible to him. Vindia Vasi says she doesn’t want to come to him. Naina asks if she can hear her. Vindia Vasi nods, Naina says Rani is Raja’s first love and first wife, she holds the first privilege over him.
If Rani desires so, Naina would go away from Raja. Raja asks if Naina has gone insane. Naina accepts she is a liability over Raja only, he is repenting after marrying her. Raja holds Naina saying I am sorry, he said those words only to save her; that night Rani was there in the car between them and was misleading their car.
Rani was enraged, strong winds blow in the hall. A vase comes flying from which Naina saves Raja. Other items come blowing towards them. Vindia Vasi breaks the magic. Mummy comes pleading Vindia Vasi. Vindia Vasi tells Naina not to leave her husband, Rani can no more stay between them. Rani is upset that Raja wants Rani to get away from her only for Naina.
Vindia Vasi prayed in loneliness. Rani was watching her from the window along with others. Rani’s head bang badly, she falls into the arms of Vindia Vasi. The doors were closed as Vindia drags Rani inside. Soon, the glass of the door get wet from inside. Naina was concerned for Vindia, they hear Vindia’s cries from inside. Naina was worried. Raja opens the door hearing the scream. Rani had taken control of Vindia Vasi and was suffocating her to death. Raja and others were stuck outside the hall. Raja calls Rani’s name, Naina requests Rani to leave her. A knife comes flying and hurt Raja. Vindia Vasi had successfully reached her counter. Rani was moved by Raja’s injury over the head. Raaj Mata asks Rani what happened to her.
Vindia had taken Rani’s pouch and she was now visible to everyone. Rani questions Vindia what she did to her, Vindia throws the red bag into fire pot. The pot flies up in the air, Vindia throws water over Rani. Raja and others walk inside. The water burnt Rani’s face. Raaj Mata requests Rani to abide by her and leave, Rani stares at her. Raaj Mata suffocates. Vindia had tied Rani’s neck. Rani calls Raja for help. Raja asks Rani why she is hurting herself, she must understand this world is no more for her. Naina cries hugging Raja. Vindia had burnt a peacock feather broom, but it vanished. The watch a lady moving towards them. Rani says they can stop her but not the lady. Bari Rani Maa appears to Raaj Mata and Raja’s shock.
Bari Rani Maa stares towards Vindia, Vindia was trapped on the floor. A chandelier fell over Vindia who was killed at once. Bari Rani Maa’s feet left blood stained marks that were opposite of normal direction. Mummy recognizes her as a witch.Naina insists to stay but Raja and Raaj Mata sends her and her family away. Bari Rani Maa asks Raaj Mata if she won’t touch her feet and was sure to bless her daughter in law. Raaj Mata was afraid of her. Bari Rani Maa moves her hands to place over Raaj Mata’s head. Raja shouts at her not to touch Dadu. Bari Rani Maa says when she was a human no one ever pointed a finger over her, and now she is a witch. Her eyes redden and Raja’s finger was twisted out of pain.
Raaj Mata tells her to stop. Bari Rani Maa reminds Raja of a childhood story, but he must always remember this story. Raja’s love brought Rani here, but his hatred brought her here. They didn’t lit her body. The bodies which aren’t cremated, their souls stay in the world. She didn’t leave the world and only then a black magician turned her into a witch and promised to help her fulfil her wishes. Bari Rani Maa was ready to pay the price, and let him use her powers for his intentions. She looks towards Rani who moves to Raja and touches his face. Raaj Mata calls Bari Rani Maa a sinner, she turned her Rani as a sinner as well. Bari Rani Maa smiles. Rani says they must wait to see the next part of the story, as they are going to meet each day now. Raaj Mata tells Raja to go and bring a person to enclose Bari Rani Maa into a bottle.
Bari Rani Maa turns them to still, and laughs at her age. Bari Rani Maa says Raja has broken her heart, he went against her only for Rani so she turned rani against him. They will have to pay for each other sin, she would rob this house of all its happiness. Rani kiss Raja’s cheek before going with Bari Rani Maa.Naina comes into Bari Rani Maa’s way in the corridor. Bari Rani Maa says she must gift Naina with something. Naina runs to Raja worried, as they stood like dummies. Naina brings neem leaves paste to them and make them drink it. Raja and Raaj Mata gets conscious. Naina asks who that lady is and what she wants from them.
There, Rani pours drink for Bari Rani Maa and asks if they made Raja more fearful than needed. Bari Rani Maa stares at the bottle which fell off, and scolds Rani. Rani promises to abide by Bari Rani Maa as she only wants her Raja. Bari Rani Maa forgives her as she is really happy. She holds Rani’s hands and dances with her saying she saw fear in Raja and Raaj Mata’s eyes. This fear is their weakness and her strength. Raaj Mata destroyed her family, she would destroy Raja’s family now.
Raja tells Naina about Bari Rani Maa and recalls her death. She has returned as a dyan, he wonders where she would stop now. Raaj Mata says it’s important to think what they must do to stop Bari Rani Maa.
Raja says they should think about it tomorrow, no one would sleep still they must try to take rest.
In the room, Raja tells Naina not to be afraid. Any problem must come across Raja first to hit her. Rani and Bari Rani Maa won’t end up in this house for long. In the mirror, it was Rani who lay over Raja’s chest. Naina was standing in front of Bari Rani Maa who asked Naina to dance for her, she sings and make Naina forcefully dance for her.The next morning, Rani wakes up and touches Raja’s face saying it was a long wait. Today, they are close still too far but this wait won’t be much longer. She gets out of the bed as soon as Raja wakes up and stands in front of mirror as Naina. Raja says good morning to Naina, she replies him with a good morning and calls this morning as beautiful.
Rani blows over the mirror to remove Rani’s shadow from it. Raja comes to hug Naina and says I love you Naina. Rani in disguise was enraged.Naina requests Bari Rani Maa to leave her and let her go. Bari Rani Maa tells Naina that right now Raja is in Rani’s arm. She must turn Naina to stone and will break that idol in front of Raja. Naina was afraid.Raaj Mata tells Mummy they have no connection with Rani, she only wants to put her children’s life in trouble. She announces there would be celebrations of Munh dikhai of Naina today.
Bari Rani Maa rolls a dice towards Naina and says she always like playing in her life, she says if Naina reaches 100 before her Naina would be freed. But if Bari Rani Maa wins, Raja would never figure out that he is not with Naina but Rani. Naina turns to stone from feet to her waist as she forwards her hand to approach.
Rekha greets a friend. The girl asks about Naina and the magic she played to get this all. Raaj Mata says Naina had to walk a huge path, Raja constructed this palace of memories and locked himself in it. Naina broke the darkness from Raja’s life. Rani sat in front of the mirror and smirks as Raaj Mata has gone insane due to old age.
Raja enters the room, she covers her face then takes the sindoor for him to fill her hair line. Raja abides by his Biwi jee’s orders.Bari Rani Maa plays by herself. Naina was left crying.Rekha and the friend bring Rani downstairs. The girl boasts about Naina’s luck. Rani says Raja only loved Naina because her face was like that of Rani’s. Rekha says Raja loved Naina’s soul, not her face. Rani was enraged. Mummy comes to place a thaal of water and says Raaj Mata would see her real face in the water. Rani was worried that her real face would be visible in water. Raaj Mata asks Naina to move forward, but she was reluctant. Raja thinks Bari Rani Maa and Rani are silent, he wish Naina isn’t effected by his past. Raja’s ring gets into the thaal.
Rani picks it from the thaal. Raja had walked towards her, she puts it around his finger. The friend says they have got all their rituals the other way round, munh dikhai before engagement. Raja looks towards Raaj Mata silently. Bari Rani Maa informs Naina about Rani making Raja wear the wedding ring that will make Raja’s heart beat for Rani once again. Raja takes Raaj Mata down and says he feels Rani is somewhere around. Raaj Mata insists Rani is only a ghost and has no existence. She can’t control much. Rani stairs at Naina’s friend who was teasing her. Rani was enraged. Rekha tells her to share with her about their story of honeymoon. Rani clutches Rekha’s arm behind and pushes her away. Raja shouts Naina, Rani calls from under the veil its Rani.
Raja comes to hold Rani and tells her to stop hurting others, he demands about Naina’s whereabouts. Rani asks if he really wants to know about Naina but on a condition. Raja promises for any condition. Rani asks if he is so restless, he didn’t hear the condition. Raja says she would get what she wants to but where is Naina. Rani says he must ask till when she is there, she is around somewhere but Raja won’t reach her in time. Raja demands what Rani has done to Naina. Naina’s body had turned to stone. Bari Rani Maa taunts her to go to kitchen and get water.
Rani says love is an ailment that breaks heart beats, his Naina is where even shadows leave. Rani vanishes. The guests were worried watching this. Mummy cries for Naina’s life. Raaj Mata was sure nothing will happen to Naina, no magic is greater than love and life. She tells Raja to go and look for Naina.
