Once there was a king 27 April 2022: Bindu comes to the staircase wrapped in the sheet. Rani asks him to be his wife again, and demands her mangal sooter back. Raja was unable to speak. Amrita says she will get her mangal sooter back, it’s a right of a wife and Raja would return this right to her in front of everyone. She asks him to get her daughter in law back home tomorrow, she hugs them both as they have already taken many testimonies. Rano holds Raja’s hand behind Amrita, but he withdraws it wondering how he must tell Rani what mistake he has committed.
In the room, Raja shatters a bottle. Bindu comes to insist that Raja still loves her. Raja says he only loves Rani and watches the broken bottle with blood all over the floor. He takes the attention of Bindu to her hurt foot and removes the glass of her feet. Raja apologizes for what happened, and wish it hadn’t. He considered her Rani while drunk, he was clueless about how it happened and he committed a huge mistake. Bindu smiles about the success of her plan. Raja joins his hands to Bindu as he doesn’t love her. Bindu questions till when he would name their love as friendship, she has handed everything in his hands.
Raja pushes her away, he is ashamed for what happened but he only loves Rani. He doesn’t know how he would share this with Rani, and leaves the room.
In the store room, Raja hurts himself with a hunter. He curses himself for betraying Rani and calls himself a sinner. He has ruined three lives, himself, Rani and Bindu. He won’t be able to hide this truth from Rani anymore.In the morning, Rani opens the door to Raja and notices him upset. Raja was about to speak when Meenu comes to greet Raja. Rani calls him inside, and wasn’t ready to listen to him. Raaj Mata comes with the aarti thaal, while Amrita was also there. Raja wish this smoke could make everything better. Rani forwards her hand for her right, and reminds him of her mangal sooter.
She asks if he has forgotten. Meenu teases that she must be thankful he only forgot the mangal sooter. Amrita hands him an envelope, it contained two tickets so that they can get away from all the tensions of palace. Raaj Mata tells Raja that Rana ji and Gayatri also went here for their first vacation.Gayatri tells Raja to go now, Amrita would stay with her until he returns to take her in the evening. She calls him from behind, reminding to bring mangal sooter.In the palace, Raja comes to Bindu and cheers watching him. Raja holds her back, joins his hands to apologize again.
He kneels down and wants her not to ruin three lives because of a single night. Bindu inquires what would happen to her. She grabs his collar saying she can neither forget him nor last night. Bindu cries in the room when Bari Rani maa comes in advising Bindu to go to any extent to get her love.Rani advices Raaj Mata to take her medicines in time. Bindu comes there. Rani says she wants to get rid of all the misunderstandings, she wanted to apologize Bindu as their father Lakhan is the same. Bindu curtly tells her to shut up, she can never be her sister.
She tells Rani that in return of her Baba, she snatched something from Rani. She took her love in replacement of her father’s love. She tells Rani that her husband is now Bindu’s, as he was with her last night. He is no more her Raja, but her Dovey; she came here to announce that they are spouses by name only. Rani denies this with surety. Bindu insists he has done already, and reminds that when she came to meet him his shirt was unbuttoned. Amrita comes to slap Bindu scolding her to be a fallen lady. She had to tell Rani the truth, as relations aren’t created on foundations of lies. Raja arrives at the doorway.
Rani runs towards him and asks him to tell Bindu stop making up new stories. Bindu asks him to tell the truth to everyone. Rani swears Raja of her head, she was sure it’s a lie. Raja thinks about last night and announces that Bindu is right. Rani was taken aback. Amrita comes to slap Raja this time, she asks how dare he did this to Rani who has forgiven all his sins. This sin has no repentance, no forgiveness. Bindu stood with her fingers crossed. Rani recalls Raja’s first vow during their wedding. She tells Raja she never accepted, but she today she does; he is truly Kaal’s son. He has betrayed every woman here today, her mother, Raaj Mata, Bindu and Rani.
She denies recognizing this Raja, he is the one who has insulted their friendship, their relation of husband and wife. She shouts that she doesn’t know him, he is the biggest mistake of her life and tells him to leave. She freed him of all her wedding relations. Jeewan hears this from the doorway. Raja lost his balance, looks towards the mangal sooter in his hand and leaves. He places the mangal sooter near the temple before leaving.Rani comes inside taking all her jewels off. Jeewan comes to slap Raja outside.
Rani comes in front of mirror taking all her jewelry off, lost in thoughts of her moments with Raja. Jeewan beats Raja that he lost Rani, broken and shattered hearted. Rani watches hers sindoor. Raja was bleeding badly. Bindu comes to save Raja, Jeewan says he would never let Rani break. Raja removes Bindu’s hand over his arm.In the palace, Bari Rani Maa tells Bindu to be careful, she is a hurt woman now and can prove to be the worst enemy. She is Rana ji and Gayatri’s blood, she won’t accept defeat so easily. Right now she just lost her control. Bindu spots Raja in the corridor and comes to apologize him, she cries that she never wanted to lose him after having gained him completely.
Raja asks how she would stop him from loving Rani, she will always be there in his heart and he would always be hers. Bari Rani Maa watches this, wondering what if this love turns to be Rani’s strength.Raaj Mata comes to Rani who sat on the floor and didn’t respond. Raaj Mata slaps her finally, she cries hugging Dadu. She wonders what Rani without a Raja, she wanted to rub his name off her hand. Raja cried in his room. Raaj Mata says she will leave this place forever, firstly her children and now everything belonging to her grandchild. She would leave this Amirkot before they snatch her Rani too. Rani cries badly.
The next morning, Raaj Mata was packing her bags and speaks to Rana ji and Gayatri’s photo that she was mistaken in recognizing Raja. She will now leave Amirkot. Rani calls from behind that they won’t. She says she is the daughter of Rana Indravadhan and Rani Gayatri, she hasn’t learnt to be defeated.
Bindu was knocking at Raja’s door, Amrita comes to pull her away. She tells Bindu that now she would do justice, she know well Raja won’t force any girl and Bindu must have allowed him. She hasn’t seen someone as fallen as Bindu. Bindu leaves crying.Rani asks why she should run away from her life, Raja’s betrayal can no more break her. She speaks to the photo that she is only their daughter now. Amirkot is her responsibility and she would fight in elections.
Raja comes to Kaal and was sure Rani’s contest in election would give him heart attack.Jeewan comes to Rani and shows willingness to be with her in elections. She has made enough of enemies, shouldn’t leave her friends behind. Bari Rani Maa comes to Kaal, and tells him that Amrita’s weakness is Raja and Raja’s weakness is Rani. Bari Rani Maa assures to bring her to him.In the jail, Amrita asks why she has brought her here, she doesn’t want to meet Kaal. Bari Rani maa says Kaal wants to get Raja and Rani killed, she brought her here to get them another chance.
In the jail, Amrita requests Kaal to leave Raja. Kaal says she would contest the elections and will cut Rani’s feather. Amrita denies, as Rani is her daughter. Kaal smiles she is the first mother to sacrifice her son for her daughter in law. He may kill Raja and Rani both. Bari Rani Maa forwards the papers to Amrita, Amrita reads the papers and finally put her thumb stamp over them. Bari Rani Maa laughs that now these mother – daughter in law would be against each other. Kaal laughs hysterically.
The next morning, Rani speaks to her parent’s photo that she is sure her parents would be there with her, at each and every turn of her life. Raaj Mata brings breakfast to Jeewan, Rani hurries to leave. Rani and Jeewan leave. Raaj Mata thinks even if unknowingly, Rani hasn’t eaten anything. She wants a signal from God that love can still return in her daughter’s life.
In the morning, Raja distributes gifts among poor’s for Rani’s victory. Bindu comes to throw a letter off his hand, but Raja kisses her. Bindu insists she was his past. Raja says what happened that night was a mistake, it’s forgotten and not repeated. Bindu was upset.
Raja says he was, is and will always be Rani’s Raja. Before Bindu can speak, he stuffs his mouth with sweet and leave.
Inside, Bari Rani Maa pays a huge amount to the workers to get her daughter in law win the elections. Raja comes to ask what she up to be now. Bari Rani Maa shows him a banner with Amrita’s photo, saying she is on her own daughter in law’s side. She thinks what would Raja do now, be a good son or a husband? Rani also watches the banner of Amrita’s photo, Meenu tells her not to worry. Amrita couldn’t even stand against her husband, how she would contest… Rani interrupts forbidding her to disgrace Amrita again.
There, Amrita prays that she doesn’t want to keep Karwa chaut for a husband like Kaal, but she would fulfil the ritual. Raja had come behind him, questioning if she is on Kaal’s side? Amrita says she is in a good position and would be on the side of truth, from where she is. Neither her son, nor Rani has a right to question her about any reasons. Raja thinks now he can be on Rani’s side, no matter if he is far away from her.Rani walks on the roads nervous about her speech. There were posters of her name everywhere.
Jeewan signals Meenu and Sashi to cheer Rani. They come to cheer Rani up, as she was a good debater in college. A lady brings milk for Rani, she was about to drink it but finds a note in her hand that reads ‘love always give strength, sometimes as courage and at others as hope’. She looks around but Raja vanishes.Amrita was nervous, but Bari Rani Maa points a knife at Raja’s photo and she wipes her tears at once. Raja watches Rani walking down the streets with Jeewan. They come to see Kaal’s men bribing people for vote. Jeewan was curt that they can’t do anything.
Rani comes to hold a bag of an old lady to carry it to her home. Raja and Juman come to a neighbourhood, and discuss aloud that Rani has proven today that she is the daughter of Rani Gayatri and Rana ji. A lady spots Rani arriving, Raja goes to a hiding while Juman ji jumps in to assure the lady Rani is the real daughter of Rani Gayatri. People gather around Rani to shout slogans in favor of Gayatri. Rani feels happy, Raja relieved.People cheered Amrita, Bari Rani Maa pushes her with an elbow and show Raja’s photo, Amrita starts her speech again.
There, a rally came cheering Rani Gayatri. Amrita makes a speech that she would have taught her daughter to choose the truth, and her blessings are always with her; she was looking straight into Rani’s eyes. The crowd claps for Amrita, Amrita gets nervous. Bari Rani Maa thinks she would lose the game in hands of Rani.Rani was making a speech, Bari Rani Maa points at some men to ruin their rally. Raja was among the crowd, Bari Rani Maa nods at her men. Among the crowd, people question Rani why she stands against her husband, how would she run the state when she couldn’t run a home.
Amrita was walking towards Rani, but Bari Rani Maa holds her arm. Bari Rani Maa’s men come to curse Rani that she is unrightful to contest the elections if she can’t answer these questions. They burn her banners in between. Rani stood alone. The men moved forward to hit Rani, when Raja comes out of disguise to stand against them. He questions why only a woman is being tested, can there is a husband’s mistake as well? He didn’t leave Gayatri, but Gayatri did. He is the worst husband in this world, a Raavan who this Seeta considered a Raam.
He broke a wife’s trust, as he was related to another woman; when he can’t live with his own self how could Gayatri live with him. He is worth leaving. Only a few stand against one’s owns for truth, and Gayatri has the courage. The crowd now hoots against Raja, they throw stones over Raja as well. Rani calls them to stop, and says accepting your mistake is a huge matter, but his mistake is even bigger. She now wants to concentrate on elections right now. People now cheer for Rani.In a corner, Meenu gets water for Rani when Raja arrives. Jeewan holds him behind, but he push his hand down.
Rani tells Raja that nothing changed between them, Raja was about to speak but Bindu comes there concerned for him. Raja jerks her away and leave, Jeewan taunts if she is so far away even being so close. Bindu was biting an apple, Bari Rani Maa provokes her to do something that leave Raja with no choice. She shares an idea with Bindu.The ladies were carrying their thaals for Karwa chot. Rani recalls her earlier fast, when Raja was getting restless. They had shared an eye lock, later Rani made Raja chase her, her dupatta had covered them.
They had broken their fast together, in a romantic environment. Raja promised her to always fast for her on this day. Rani also promised that no matter what, she would fast for her love, her Raja. Meenu came to keep a hand over Rani’s shoulder, Raja also peeked through behind the woods.At night, ladies were gathered around the well. Raja watches Rani come to take Amrita’s blessings. The ladies gossip against Raja. They were about to break the fast, when Bindu joins them. Everyone was shocked. Bindu says only taking rounds around doesn’t make a wife, she has already been related to him.
Rani stops Amrita from responding. There, Raja was also breaking her fast near the temple. Bindu was upset watching her flame blow off.Rani was upset in a side, Amrita tells her to break her fast in the feet of the Goddess. There, Raja was breaking his fast. He turns to leave from one side, while Rani enters from the other. She takes the same water as Raja.
