Once there was a king 5 April 2022: Rani fell on floor, crying and broken while Raja smirks. He gets on the floor with her and forbids her crying, her Raja Baja is here. Rani shouts at him to stay away, she has been named after a lady who never accepted a defeat. He played with her emotions, but forgot those who play with fire always burn. In this fire, he and his ego both will burn. She turns to leave, but Raja holds her hand back with a jerk. He boasts about being a Raja if she is Rani, he shows her the contract papers with her signature that clearly state she will work for him. Rani tears the papers into pieces. Raja smirks again, as this was only a copy. Her Dadu was right, no one must sign a paper without reading it. Raja shows another copy and reads it for her, it clearly states she will only work for him, if she leaves the job without his permission she must pay 3 lacs as penalty.
Rani looks towards him in shock, then reads the contract by herself. She holds her head in distress, crying badly. Raja taunts that children today even forget their grandmother’s advice in love, where will she get 3 lacs now. Will she sell her kidney or her Dadu’s, she turns to him enraged forbidding him take her Dadu’s name with his filthy tongue. Raja agrees, demands him to calm herself down in ten minutes and come to meeting; else get 3 lac ready.Raja tells Rani she is his, he won’t let her go so easily. He pushes her away and leaves. Rani was left crying, regretting. She comes to look at her parent’s photo.
In the meeting, Bari Rani Maa smiles that she doesn’t think that girl will return after such insult. Rani arrives from behind, Raja asks him about starting the meeting. Bindu was uncomfortable and shares with Raja that she is feeling nausea, where he had taken her for dinner. Raja tells Rani to check that Lovey’s dress and carpet isn’t ruined. Rani tells Bindu to puke on her hands, she has been taking care of her dadu since when she was eight and know how to take care of ills. She heads to leave. Rani says may be she has also eaten something wrong and doesn’t feel well.
The delegates take leave, Rani also bids him a bye. Raja turns to Bindu who finally pukes over his shoes.Rani walks out of the palace crying. She takes a seat on a bench and cries hard can calls her mother loud.
There, Raaj Mata stood at home with her eyes shut. Rani comes from behind crying, Raaj Mata was worried. Rani informs Raaj Mata that her first love was left incomplete. Raaj Mata drops the thaal of pooja and comes to console Rani. Raaj Mata assure Rani about talking to Rana ji, he will scold Raja and he will never trouble her. Rani asks Raaj Mata if she even heard whatever she just said. Raaj mata calls Rani as crazy and walks to a window, saying this is Rana ji’s car. He has arrived.
The next morning, Raaj Mata keeps a lunch box in Rani’s bag, telling her to share it with Raja as well. She reminds her about the watch that Raja gifted. She ties it over Rani’s arm, saying time always change. She must change her time and her fate with her hard work. Rani hugs Raaj Mata and assures her that Raja will even remember her hard work.In the palace, Bindu complains Raja for not sharing his plan with her. She cheers that Raja took the best revenge. Raja says it has just begun, he has to return all the troubles to her with interest. Bindu was sure Rani will never step the palace again. Rani opens the door of palace, Raja’s conditions echo in her mind. She wipes her tears and wish a good morning to Raja. She asks Raja why he is so shocked, if he thought she won’t come.
Raja introduces Rani Gayatri as Project incharge, they will all report her. He tells Rani he has some work for her, recalling all the abuse he had to face in hostel in childhood. He informs the delegates that she sings really well, may be her households were singers sometime back. Rani closes her eyes, and sings ‘Itni Shakti humain dena Data’. She completes and asks Raja if he needs to hear something else as well. Raja claps for her, and throws money over her head. Jeewan comes to hold Raja’s hand then, and says this is enough now. Raja smiles and asks the delegates to excuse them for a while, then asks Jeewan if he is going to stop him, for the last time he is asking Jeewan to get away from in between them. Jeewan holds Raja’s collar saying he has been able to do this all only because Jeewan left, he confesses it was his mistake to get away from the middle and Raja got a chance to become Rani’s boss.
Raja murmurs he must remind Jeewan of his worth again, Jeewan tells him not to forget this hotel project was given as a begging by him, shouting doesn’t seem those who get beggings. He looks towards Rani saying she is his friend. Raja slaps Jeewan insisting he will do anything with Rani, he may stop him if he can. Jeewan stands up to attack Raja, but Rani holds him as Raja isnt wroth Jeewan’s fight. Raja was moved by Rani’s grip over Jeewan’s arm and drags Rani. Jeewan holds Rani’s hand asking where he is taking her. Raja replies where he will to, Rani is his employee. Jeewan says Rani is his friend. Raja says she signed a contract with him.
Jeewan repeats she is his friend. Both drags Rani to their side. Rani shouts in pain and asks to leave her, Jeewan loosens his grip. Raja takes her inside.Jeewan comes to study to tell Kaal he was mistaken giving this project to Raaj. Raja comes laughing and taunts Jeewan for being left behind, he is coming after Kaal has left. He is no more in the city, what would Jeewan do now. He asks if Jeewan thought he will become the shoulder for Rani to cry, it won’t happen as Rani’s laughter and tears are only for him. Rani belongs to him only. Jeewan wonders what this is, is he a child; he warns him that the day their father return this hotel project and Rani would belong to him. Raja thinks Rani isn’t ever aware where she has been caught, she will have to pay for all that made Raja suffer.
Rani comes to Raja’s room when he was in bath. He asks her for towel and his clothes, smiling as she looked away. He changes his pants while Rani hides her face and her eyes were shut. Raja comes to touch her face, she jerks. Raja asks why she is so shy today, she just want someone rich in her life.
He was there yesterday, today Jeewan is there; he can be in her life for a while again. He tries to hold her close, she pushes him away. He holds her by waist, and says she belongs to him and he can touch her anywhere. Rani reminds Raja he will burn if he tries to touch again, there was no friend like her and there won’t be a worse enemy like her. She returned to see how far his hatred of childhood will take her, to see how he breaks after losing the game in the hands of a girl.
Jeewan is better than him because he doesn’t need anyone else to fell down, to raise their standard. Bindu comes calling Raja.
Rani eats on the bench outdoor alone. Jeewan comes to hand her a tissue, he offers Rani 3 lacs, and she must return them to Rani. Rani wasn’t about to be indebted by her friends, she was determined to fight and win. Time has a quality, it changes for sure. She then offers Jeewan laddu that her Dadu prepared, Jeewan demands to eat with her hand. Raja watches this from upstairs curtly.
Raja was watching logos in a file, Rani comes there. Raja asks her to choose any of the styles. Rani says she is neither concerned with the name, nor with the design. Raja says she has to stay with this name forever. He tells Rani she must get a tattoo over her hand. Rani resists while Raja holds her on the chair. Raja has a flashback from his childhood when the children in his boarding pinned him down and tattooed his body.
Rani demands Raja to leave her. Raja agrees but on a condition that she fell over his feet and apologize, accepting she was greedy. Rani was silent, Raja holds her hand, she shouts in agony as the name was tattooed on her arm.
Amrita comes there to get Rani spared from Raja. Raja held a hand over her, then realizes his mistake. Amrita demands him to go on, she went to visit temples for peace but forgot the walls made up of sin can never be a source of peace. Today, he succeed in writing over his mother’s heart that he is an animal. Raja says she is his servant, he can make her do anything.
Amrita objects that she is just a servant, not a toy. She takes Rani along and put on medicine over it, bandaging the bruise. She accepts to Rani that she couldn’t be a good mother to Raja. Rani says a mother can never be wrong and leaves after thanking Amrita.
Rani comes back home, Raaj Mata tells her about cooking Kari for her. Rani laughs aloud. Raaj Mata laughs with her but was worried when Rani begins to cry. Rani just hugged her.
Amrita inquires Kaal if Raja’s name had been written on that girl’s hand today, she must be labelled to be a bad mother. Kaal was indifferent and unconcerned about that girl. Amrita asks him to fear God. Kaal gets curt at her and was about to slap her when Raja holds his hand in mid-air.
Raaj Mata tells Rani she know Raja must have tied this bandage. Rani says he only injured her. Raaj Mata was determined to talk to him, Rani replies it isn’t needed. Raaj Mata calls Rani so different, she can’t see Raja in trouble and was happy Rani got her Raja. Tears fell off Rani’s hand.
Kaal asks how dare Raja held his hand. Raja boasts Kaal doesn’t have the courage to envision Raja’s dare, he must remember when hand is held above a certain level it gets broken. In old age, his broken hand might not join. Kaal reminds steel toys must never confront glass ones. Kaal says he always wanted to see the animal inside him, today he has seen. Raja complains Amrita had she stopped this hand ten years ago, he wouldn’t be an animal. Amrita cries that she couldn’t stop his father, but will stop her son for sure. He is doing the same with Rani, what his father has done to her.
Rani tries to rub the embarked name of Raja, and cries that girls write their love’s name with henna.
The next morning, Raja watches the time thinking Rani won’t come. Rani comes to wish them morning, Jeewan notices the bandage on her arm. Rani says nothing, Raja gifted her something and shows it to them all. She then hands him to pen allowing to complete what was left yesterday. Jeewan wonders if she has gone crazy. Rani says Raja’s name would be engraved over her body, just the way people put a tag into pet’s hands. She throws her stroller over Raja, allowing him to engrave his name anywhere on her body. Raja comes to drape her again asking if she has gone crazy. Rani asks why he is ashamed today, when he was shameless yesterday. Today she wants to see how low he can fall to insult her. Raja drags her inside. Jeewan complains to Kaal about Raja.
Raja brings Rani into the store room asking why she insulted him in front of his family. Rani jerks his hands away, asking if only he has such right. Raja says if she still has a courage to fight him, Rani says whatever happened yesterday boosted his courage. He must remember if he is Raja, she is also Rani and will reply in the same language he asks a question. He may do anything to defeat her, she will see who wins in the game of his stubbornness and her ability to bear.
Raja holds her hand and drags her to the palace entrance. Raja asks if she wanted to see how tall his stubbornness is. He brings a paint bucket, and says she will paint the rest of this wall. Rani thinks she is afraid of heights. Raja asks what happened, is she afraid? He suggests her to accept defeat, and simply say she was wrong and he was right. Rani accepts the challenge, and takes the bucket. The painter says the wall is really high, she won’t be able to do. Raja scolds him to mind his own business. Rani climbs the wooden ladder. She soon begin to sneeze, the painter suggests her to wrap her face with her stroller.
Her stroller was tucked in a nail on ladder, Rani fell down into Raja’s arms. He drops her down on floor, sits besides asking if seen the height of his stubbornness, both she and her courage would have broken. Rani always has to bend in front of Raja, else she loses. Rani stops Raja, saying she won’t accept defeat before decision comes out. She hasn’t lost yet, as he didn’t win. She ties her face with her stroller, and climbs the ladder again. Raja scolds the workers to go away, no one would help her. Rani embrace herself to work, fighting her allergy.
Kaal tells Raja that it’s not a bad thing to be bad but to be bad-named is bad. He won’t get an election ticket. Raja won’t get what he wants, if he doesn’t get what he desires for. If he can’t handle that girl, he will give this project to Jeewan.
