Once there was a king 17 March 2022: Rani was getting victorious in game.Rajeshwari makes up Swarna to give a gift to an old lady at Nari Niketan. Swarna was watching Raaj Mata’s photos and denies going there. Rajeshwari says its rightly said, a monkey never value pearls. Swarna says a monkey is the one who dances at the beating of someone else’s drum. She will never do any act in which Kaal is benefitted.Raja urges Rani to think well about her last question, he prays for Rani.
Rani holds the locket and asks for help. She remembers Raaj Mata tells her about it once. She replies correctly. Jeewan announces Rani has won. The servants come to cheer and hoot Rani Gayatri. Bari Rani Maa scolds Jeewan for announcing Rani’s victory, now she will have to give them food for three times and extra wages.Swarna brings milk for Bindu, Rajeshwari was narrating a story to Bindu about the wish of Princess and a Prince. Swarna comes looking for Bindu. Rajeshwari tells Bindu that the prince never loved princess, after that a handsome servant came into the princess’ life.
Swarna scolds Bindu to go back to her room, and questions Rajeshwari what she had been doing. She warns Swarna about narrating the whole story to Bindu. Swarna assures to narrate it to Bindu herself, but she is too young for this. Rajeshwari takes the condition for Swarna to come along her for prize distribution. Swarna agrees.Raaj Mata anxiously awaited Rani, she asks if Lakhan knows about Raja’s home. Lakhan assures she would come by herself. Raaj Mata was hopeful about change of fate once they get money.
Raja cries for Rani’s bruises in her hand. He calls tears as really mischievous. He was rubbing turmeric over her hand, and assures to do her work. He then asks about the work and help her with it as she instructs him. Bari Rani Maa was upset watching this, she says there was one Raja and Rani before them, she can’t allow a second story now.The servants boasted their luck change because of Rani. Bari Rani Maa comes to distribute the wages today. Neem tells Bari Rani Maa about the calculations, Bari Rani Maa says to Gulabo it is so good going, she is pregnant and got a raise in salary.
Bari Rani Maa stops her, and reminds her about breaking four glasses last week. Neem tells each glass cost Rs. 15, Bari Rani Maa snatches the salary and orders to keep the next three month’s salary as well. Gulabo gets to her feet, still Bari Rani Maa doesn’t accept. Neem distributes the servant’s salaries.Rani thanks Raja for help. Raja says when she would get a salary she must give her a party. Rani promises to feed him with sweet. They watch Jeewan coming with a bowl from the corridor, Rani holds her show. Jeewan gulps, then leaves his plate on the floor. The servants come there, Rani asks why they are worried. Gulabo laughs and says nothing, Rani demands her to swear. They were reluctant.
Gulabo tells Rani they lost everything, and narrates her about the whole story. Bari Rani Maa had kicked them all up. Rani calls her a witch. Raja insists Bari Rani Maa is very nice, he wonders what happened to her. Rani tells Raja she does alike, tomorrow this witch is going to prize distribution and she won’t leave her in peace tomorrow.Kaal instructs the family, scolds his children and asks Swarna to leave her attitude back in palace, while in the award show.Rani wonders what she should do now, either go with Raaj Mata for her prize or get a lesson to Bari Rani Maa. She watches some bottles nearby and gets an idea.
Lakhan brings milk for Rani, Rani makes up she has a fever. Lakhan notices and says she has no fever, Rani demand for a Sharma-meter, Lakhan corrects its thermometer nor Sharma-meter, and he goes to get the thermometer. Rani puts the thermometer in hot milk. Raaj Mata insists on Rani to come to doctor, but Rani tells them she would get well by taking rest. She makes them up to go for prize distribution. Raaj Mata takes her promise not to move from here, they would soon be back.Raja questions Rani where she had left. Raja boasts he ruined Jeewan’s clothes before anyone could notice. Rani asks if he has prepared the paper, Raja tells her he went to study last night and prepared the paper. Rani confirms if he made any mistakes. Raja boasts he is really intelligent.
Rani says now is the time for plan no. 2. He sends her to Bari Rani Maa, she would go to Jeewan. Raja turns to her, then says he was a good boy but got naughty in her company, then laughs that it also feels good.Bari Rani Maa asks Raja about his shoes, Raja says his shoes are under the study table of Kaal’s room, he can’t enter without permission. Bari Rani Maa permits him, and asks him to hurry up. Rani watches Jeewan, he asks to look upon else his clothes would be ruined. Rani apologizes and runs to the other side, Jeewan follows him.
The supervisors await Raaj Mata and other ladies and ask to do the rehearsals. During the rehearsals, Raaj Mata had cough. Lakhan forbids her to exert herself, she has already done this many times. Raaj Mata says she never did so, till today she only gave away, she is raising hands to take something for the first time.
Rani tells Raja that Jeewan is coming, Raja hides a file behind himself, they unfold with much difficulty to Jeewan that Kaal has given him the permission to do the speech. Jeewan was jealous and goes to ask Kaal about it. Raja and Rani send him to ask Bari Rani Maa, she had permitted him to take the Red file, thin Red file from the wardrobe.
Jeewan asks Bari Rani Maa if she asked Raja to take a red… Bari Rani Maa agrees. Jeewan thinks he can’t allow Raja to do the speech, he comes to snatch the file from Raja’s hand. Rani advices Raja to let it go. Jeewan cheers. Raja and Rani thinks they will now enjoy Jeewan’s speech and laugh.
Kaal, Bari Rani Maa and family arrive at the function. Swarna comes out of the car, Lakhan stood behind her but a car stops their visions. It was the Minister’s car, Kaal welcomes him. The Minister joins hand taunting they fought 40 years from British, they have left but their ways have stayed. Bari Rani Maa boasts Kaal is a huge soldier of independence and has shed a lot of blood. Bari Rani Maa stays and asks about kids. Raaj Mata’s cough worsens. Kaal introduces the minister to Rajeshwari and the widow of Laksh, Swarna.
He wants to respect the widows and charity begins at home, she Swarna will distribute the gifts. Swarna thinks she can’t stay here anymore, being called a widow of Lakshraj isn’t a good thing for her, she is widow but of Lakhan. She leaves the stage.
Bari Rani Maa walks ahead the crowd, the supervisor stops her and sends her behind the stage. He takes Bari Rani Maa towards the stage. The female manager welcomes the guests. Raaj Mata was shocked to hear Bari Rani Maa and Kaal’s name.
Raaj Mata leaves the tent, the other ladies were greedy for gift and let her go. The announcement is made for Swarna, Kaal looks towards her seat and find it empty. He sends Rajeshwari to look for Swarna. Swarna comes to the car crying, Lakhan comes behind the car but when Swarna turns behind he had already sat down repairing his cycle. The handkerchief in Swarna’s hand fly with the wind to cover Lakhan’s face, she heads inside. Lakhan calls her from behind, she was moved at the voice and says there is no reason to turn around for what she already left behind. Lakhan watches the S written on the handkerchief. The announcer calls both Swarna and Priya. Kaal decides the gift to be given to someone else then.
Swarna and Raaj Mata hit each other on the way. Both cry looking at each other and hug tightly. Raaj Mata watches Rajeshwari coming looking for Swarna, hides he face and run away. Rajeshwari comes to Swarna and asks what this drama is all about.Lakhan wonders why her voice and the pain in it so familiar. Raaj Mata tells Lakhan she can’t receive the gift as Kaal and Bari Rani Maa are there. They run away. The gift money is given to second winner by the Minister. Kaal was enraged at this. Jeewan comes with the red file, Raja and Rani were happy to have reached in time. Jeewan takes the mike, unwraps the red file and reads the speech. He announces he also wants to say something on this great day, Rajeshwari asks him to come down but Jeewan insists on him to come down.
Jeewan boasts Kaal and Rajeshwari would be proud of him. Jeewan reads out that today, Kaal is announcing new rules in Amirkot. From today onwards, social differences would end up, Kaal and a banana vendor of road are equal from today. Everyone clap. Bari Rani Maa controls Kaal. Jeewan announces Kaal is giving away 50 thousand a gift to Nari Niketan. The salaries of Royal Palace is being increased 30%. A school will be started in Amirkot, Kaal would himself get admitted in the school. Kaal asks Jeewan for the paper, everyone keeps on clapping.
The minister appreciates Kaal that he called himself illiterate in front of others, he boasted other’s confidence as well. He hopes Kaal would fulfil all the promises. Kaal assures they will be fulfilled today. Jeewan thinks Kaal would now feed whim with Gulab Jaman with his own hands.
In the palace, Jeewan demands Kaal to leave his ears. He confess that Raja had… Kaal says Raja doesn’t know about it all. Jeewan swears he isn’t lying. He tells Kaal that Bari Rani Maa allowed Raja, she thinks about permitting Raja to go to Bari Rani Maa’s study. She wonders if she messed up Jeewan’s red file with red shoes of Raja. She confesses her mistake, then says minister was really happy.
He will get the ticket and may become Minister as well. Kaal leaves. Bari Rani Maa inquires Jeewan about the whole story, Jeewan narrates it as it is. Bari Rani Maa already suspected Rani.Rani Maa asks Raja’s permission to leave, if her dadi knows she would have to take bitter medicines. Bari Rani Maa, Rajeshwari and Kokilla come in. Bari Rani Maa says she hasn’t only taken Rani Gayatri’s name, but ways as well. Bari Rani Maa accepts her defeat, Jeewan apologizes Raja and Bari Rani Maa assures about increasing the salaries of servants. But, Rani will be punished. She thinks that Raja told her Rani needs earning a lot of money in little time.
Bari Rani Maa says her punishment is that she won’t get her salary now. Raja argues with Bari Rani Maa, Bari Rani Maa scolds him that she know how he fooled Jeewan to mock Kaal. She asks Rani what was her decision now? She must remember if she wants truth, it must be complete one; she would have to tell Kaal he has been mocked by Raja and Rani, not Jeewan. Rani would leave her job, what will happen to Raja? Rani was worried for Raja getting beaten up.Raaj Mata was afraid that she has been spotted, and packs her bag to leave this place.
Lakhan asks who has seen her, Raaj Mata doesn’t tell him about Swarna and says guards did. She coughs hard and her condition worsen.Rani asks Bari Rani Maa for any punishment. Bari Rani maa challenges her, Rani keeps a condition that any of palace’s servant who might get effected by this challenge should be called here.
