Once there was a king 29 may 2022: The next morning, Rekha and Mummy were eating from a special table. Vikrant says Raja sent this all. Naina asks if he is some English cook who sent this for them.
She spots Raja, then scolds Rekha to eat a single bite. Naina asks Vikrant to question Raja what this all means, Vikrant says he is silent. Mummy qualifies he might want to apologize. Naina instructs the men to take the table, she is angrier than Raja and points towards dead body of spider. Mummy asks Naina to forgive him, Naina repeats all her insults by Raja. She tells them to remove the table. Raja holds Vikrant’s hand and moves out. She throws all the food over Raja’s men. Outside, the men inform Raja she didn’t take a single bite. Raja says they got rid of half of her anger this way, he would think about the remaining half.
In the garden, Rani planted cactus. Vikrant comes to ask why she is planting thorns. Naina watches Raja sitting on the chairs nearby, then speaks aloud that she has learnt coconut plant never bear shadow for anyone else. Raja calls Vikrant and sends some flowering seeds. Vikrant was excited that Raja allowed Naina to sow them. Naina was shocked if Raja gave them. Raja walks towards them, then throws a cactus away. Vikrant hugs Raja that he threw the thorns out of his life. Nani watches this, and was taken aback. Naina and Vikrant hug as Raja leaves. Nani thinks this is not right, and she is always on the side of right.
Laila was in her room when Naina comes dancing around.
She tells Laila she was never so happy in life. Naina says Raja has thrown the thorns out of his life, now they will sow the seeds of flowers and Raja would surely love Laila now. Laila asks what Rani would make her do this time, Naina was sure this time Raja won’t be able to take his eyes off Laila. At night, Laila stood in Zeenat Aman’s attire, and worried what if her idea is again flop. Naina says this time she has realized who Raja is, she is like Feroze Khan for Laila, and wish Laila luck.Raja was drinking in the hall. All of a sudden the lights go off, Laila plays music and dances across Raja.
Naina enjoys the performance, she sits behind the couch. Raja shuts the music off, and tells Laila this isn’t worth her. Laila cries she doesn’t care about her worth, she only loves him. Raja says he can’t forget his past. Naina curses herself for hurting Raja with all her ideas. Raja requests Laila to promise not to do such an act again, their relation already has a name. He respects her, and when she disgraces herself he is really upset about her. Laila leaves crying. Nani watches this from outside. Naina thinks about creeping to Laila but Raja steps right in front of her. Naina stands up and holds her ears before he could say something. They share an eye lock.
Naina tells Nani she wants to bring Raja and Laila together, even Vikrant want Raja and Laila to marry and she thought about doing something for them. She was upset there is always something wrong about her plan. Nani recalls about Raja and Naina’s chemistry and calls her stupid. If Naina really wants Raja and Laila to come close, she must get out from the middle of them. She sends Naina to her room. Naina runs behind to look for Raja. She wonders why Raja is always alone in this room, she pushes the door of study. Raja was in the painting room alone, he covers the canvas and opens the door.
He tells Naina he is really tired, he isn’t in a mood to be angry as well; she must leave him alone. Naina turns to leave, and was confused in the corridor. Naina thinks she never saw him so broken. She wonders what it which he recalls because of her is. A burnt painting fell off by her push.The next morning, Rekha and Vikrant help Naina join the torn pieces of burnt pictures. Naina explains this is the photo of some lady, as the face wasn’t visible. Rani insists these hands resemble someone’s. Rekha also concentrate. Laila holds the painting and says if Raja pains in that lone room. She was upset, suggesting these paintings may be of the lady Raja loves.
Laila was upset that she doesn’t know anything about Raja, even today Raja couldn’t forget his past. Naina asks if Raja ever discussed about that girl. Laila leaves upset. Vikrant and Rekha come and ask if Raja is a don in disguise and is some police officer. Naina qualifies she is a double agent and would make Raja and Laila unite anyway.Raja was drinking alone when Naina comes to the room. She takes his permission for a question. Raja asks for a promise that question not be a stupid one. Naina goes out of the room, then brings the half burnt painting to raja. Her face completed the place of empty face. Raja was enraged and stands up. Naina says it seems as if she knows the lady whoever is in the painting.
Raja clutches Naina’s face to suffocate her. She was even unable to scream of his grip. Mummy and Rekha come to get her rid of his grabbing, Mummy complains Raja for not being able to protect them. Laila and Nani were silent, Raja’s eyes filled in tears.In the room, Vikrant tries to make Naina up and requests her not to leave. Rekha and Mummy were angry at Raja and not ready to stay. Nani comes into the room. Vikrant hugs Nani and asks her to stop Naina. Nani apologizes them for Raja’s misbehavior. Mummy argues this won’t turn anything well. Nani says Raja is ashamed about his behavior. Raja enters the room from behind. Naina flinches out of fear, and says she won’t be able to stay in peace over here.
Raja requests her to stay for Rekha, Vijay is still outside looking way for Naina. He leaves the room. Vikrant keeps on requesting Nani. Rekha and Mummy ask Naina not to think about Vijay and fear him.Outside in the hall, Vikrant requests Laila to stop Naina. Naina walks out of the room with family. Vikrant cries in front of her, Naina says her family is her responsibility and nothing is dear to her than her family. She can never forget what Raja did to and for her. If Raja is really ashamed of what he has done he must accept a condition by her. Vikrant insists on Raja to say a yes, and stop Naina anyway.
Naina says Raja must accept a condition from her if he wants her to stay in the palace. Raja demands her condition as Vikrant insists on him. Naina says Laila and Nani must make Raja promise he will keep a distance of at least 5 feet from her. He must speak this loud. Raja promises, there would always be a distance of 5 feet between them. Nani was again intrigued by an eye lock between Raja and Naina. Vikrant comes to ask Naina place her luggage back. Naina hugs Vikrant, Laila also join them. Raja leaves. Nani calls mummy to come speak to her.
Raja stood alone in the corridor when Naina walks in.
They look at each other, walks towards each other but stop 5 feet apart; sharing an eye lock. Naina had thrown a vase in the corridor from the distance; it was a day dream about moving closer. Raja turns to leave the other side.Nani asks mummy why she couldn’t leave the house in spite of their will. Raja protected Naina and it’s justified that Naina might feel for Raja. If it was for Naina she had no issue, but it is about Laila as well who loves Raja for years and hopes one day Raja would give her his name. She can’t let anyone steal that right from Laila.In the room, Mummy prays in the temple that her head was always raised until she stayed in her own house.
Naina comes to mummy and says they can’t always live fearing Vijay, she must work for mummy’s dreams and is going to meet a director. Mummy blesses her promising not to stop her but only on a condition that she won’t come between love story of Raja and Laila.Raja reads Naina’s informal resignation from assistant gardener. He asks Vijay about Naina’s whereabouts. Vijay was silent. Naina was trying to climb the wall, Raja and his men come behind. Raja drags her dupatta behind, Rani warns him to get 5 feet away. Raja steps back. Naina says she isn’t any assistant gardener, she was born to fulfil the dreams of her mother.
