Imlie 7 February 2023: Aditya takes family to Raja Mahal Hotel restaurant area for his and Imlie’s wedding anniversary celebration. Nishath instructs manager about surprise arrangements. Rupali asks when is Imlie coming. Adi asks if they didn’t call her. Aparna says no. He asks to call her soon. Aryan with Imlie reaches hotel and over phone asks Anu where is the meeting. She says in room #102. He heads towards room. She calls Malini and informs that servant junior and Aryan have reached hotel. Malini informs family that she saw Imlie there. Nishath, Rapali, and Adi rush out searching her. Malini notices Aryan and Imlie in lift and informs them. Imlie notices Adi and thinks Seeta Maiya wanted to reconcile their relationship on their wedding anniversary. She writes a message for Adi and sends it via hotel staff.
Aryan takes Imlie to room #102 and doesn’t find anyone there. Power goes off and door gets locked. He says it has electronic lock and closed due to power failure. Malini tells Adi that she found out Imlie went to room #102 and thinks she got power cut and now will see Adi’s reaction. Aryan complains hotel reception and lights fire in room’s chimney to make Imlie feel warm. Imlie hopes Adi read her letter. Her sari catches fire, and Adi sets it off. She gets sad seeing her wedding sari burnt. Aryan drapes his blazer over her to make her feel warm. Adi walks towards room. Power returns just then, and door opens. He opens door and is shocked to see Adi and Imlie there and walks away feeling devastated.
Aryan tells Imlie that Adi is angry, so she should speak to him calmly. Adi remembering all the incident where he saw Imlie’s growing closeness with Aryan and thinks if what he just saw now is true, she cannot do this to him. He wipes his tears and thinks he will speak to her. Imlie searches him and calls him from someone’s number. Adi disconnects call seeing unknown number.Hotel staff gives envelope to Adi saying Imlie gave it. Adi excitedly opens it thinking she must have sent anniversary card or a poem but gets more devastated seeing divorce letter instead. Malini walks to him and asks if Imlie sent this, remembering exchanging Imlie’s letter with divorce papers.
She acts shocked and says she will speak to Imlie as there must be some confusion. He says there is no confusion and walks away tear eyed. Family waits for him. He meets Imlie. She noticing envelope in his hands thinks he read her letter. He says at last he found out what she wants. She asks what he wants. He says whatever she wants and returns envelope. She opens it and is shocked to see signed divorce papers. He sys he is divorcing her and asks if she will not count his mistake and complain, she is getting whatever she wanted, and before she leaves him, he will go far away from her. Imlie shatters and cries holding divorce papers.
Imlie shatters remembering Adi giving her divorce papers. She walks to a bridge park and complains her Seeta Maiya. Aryan concerned for her searches her. His aide informs her that she is at a bridge and sends her pic. She climbs fencing remembering her happier moments spent with Adi and tries to jump. Aryan reaches the spot, runs, and pulls her back. She falls down. He extends his hand and asks her to hold it and get up. He says he told her that falling is not bad but not getting up is bad, she became a coward and was trying to sacrifice life, her life is not so cheap to sacrifice for an ungrateful person. She shouts at him to stop and says nobody has a right to evaluate her life except her mother who gave her birth. She describes all the problems she faced in life and shouts she is not a coward to sacrifice her life for someone.
He asks what is she doing here then. She says she came here to cry peacefully. He says she came here to succeed in life, but she is acting a coward here. She continues venting out her frustration on him. He makes her sit and says she shouldn’t wait for fate to make her life better, she can cry whole night and with the first ray of son, she shouldn’t feel weak again. She cries more vigorously looking at divorce paper while he stands aside.
Aparna questions Adi why he gave divorce papers to Imlie. Adi says Imlie gave him instead and he just signed and returned them back. Aparna says she cannot believe, why will Imlie do that. He confronts her why can’t she understand that Imlie is not the same and her son is not as bad as she thinks, Imlie found a new rich life partner and wants to stay with Aryan Rathod, hence she broke up with him. Aparna asks PAnkaj why did Imlie do that. Pankaj says there is some misunderstanding. Malini says they have misunderstanding as even she saw Imlie with Aryan, there is something between Aryan and Imlie for sure whether they believe it or not.
Next morning, Narmada gets ready for temple and tells Arpita that she found a good friend/Aparna in temple who also calls her son as donkey and her son is like Aryan and her bahu is like sweet and tangy like Imlie. She asks doesn’t she think Imlie looks good with Aryan. Arpita says Imlie is good, but Aryan will not accept her. Aryan with Imlie returns home. Narmada requests Imlie to marry Aryan. Imlie panics and says she is already married and this is impossible. Aryan scolds Narmada. Narmada apologizes and says she said what she felt without thinking what Imlie would feel. Aditya tears Imlie’s pics and thinks why did she break his heart, why she was with Aryan wearing their wedding sari. He sends an article and asks his colleague to print it in today’s paper.
