Imlie 20 May 2023: Cheeni challenges villagers that she and Imlie will enter the temple at any cost. Villager tells Imlie that her daughter speaks more than her, when she couldn’t stop their age old customs, what will her little daughter do. He orders other villagers to kick them out. Imlie says they themselves will go away. Cheeni asks what is she saying. Imlie says god stays in her heart and asks villagers to get back to their work as she is not entering the temple. Cheeni gets sad. Imlie says Cheeni can go inside the temple though and pray her best friend/god and prasad. Cheeni says she will ask best friend to let Imlie meet her one day and enters temple.
News paper editor calls Imlie and informs her that someone from city has come who is threatening to shut their news paper and destroy them. Imlie says she is coming there and thinks she couldn’t support truth for herself, but can support truth for her duty and will see who wants to shut her news paper. She drops Cheeni home and asks her not to leave the house. Once she leaves, Cheeni walks out recalling she forgot to take prasad from the temple. Imlie’s slipper breaks when she reaches outside news paper office and gets busy fixing it. Aryan gets irritated, says one who cannot respect time cannot be a good journalist, he himself will find this journalist as there won’t be much journalists in Pagdandiya. He walks out not noticing Imlie sitting nearby.
Cheeni takes prasad from temple and thinks of sharing it with Imlie. She notices Aryan getting into his car and calls him. Aryan walks to her and asks what is she doing here and asks mother’s phone number to come and take her back home. Cheeni fears Imlie will scold her and asks him not to call his mother. She says she knows everyone in this village, so she is not lost. She offers prasad to him. He accepts it and asks if she knows eveyrone in Pagdandiya, she must be knowing a news paper journalist then. Cheeni says she knows her well and is going to meet her. He accompanies her to her house. Imlie enters office where the editor informs that the man already left and was saying Bhaskar Times incured huge losses because of Imlie’s article. Imlie feels Bhaskar Times shhouldn’t bear any losses because of her.
Anu arranges kitty party at Rathore House. Narmada asks Arpita why kitty party is arranged in their house when Aryan is not at home. Anu says she arranged kitty party here to make them feel relaxed as Malini told they are and Aryan in tension. Guest says Aryan is lucky to have Malini as his wife. Anu thinks Malini will become Aryan’s wife soon, she wanted to get this thought in Narmada’s mind. Arpita tells guest that Malini is Aryan’s business partner and not wife. Anu says they both look smart together, anyone can get confused. She gets Malini’s call, goes aside, and says they were talking about her just now. Malini reminds her to finish her task first.
Anu mixes a drug in juice and serves it to Narmada forcefully. Narmada thanks her and takes a sip. Anu walks aside and informs Malini that her task is finished.Aryan walks with Cheeni. Cheeni asks if he is a reporter. He says he si a businessman who incurred losses due to that reporter. Cheeni asks if he came to fight with the reporter and not award her. Aryan promises to offer her choc and toys. She deals with him to drop him to the reporter’s house, blindfolds him, and takes him along. Imlie’s colleague informs Cheeni that he saw Cheeni with a rich man. Imlie thinks if Cheeni met Bhaskar Times lawyer who had come to meet her. She rushes out searching for them and finds Aryan’s watch on the road.
Cheeni takes Aryan to Imlie’s house and ties is hands to a cot. Aryhan asks why did she tie his hands. She recalls him beating Girish and says he uses his hands a lot and talks about the boy bullying her at school and how she handles him with a pinch. Narmada’s condition deteriotes after consuming poisoned juice. Anu calls Malini and says its time for her entry. Malini thinks Aryan has to leave Pagdandiya and return home now.
Cheeni searches for food at her home to feed Aryan. Aryan suggests her to take money from his wallet and bring something to eat. Cheeni asks him to have half prasad laddu as she needs remaining half for someone else. Aryan asks her to free his hands to have laddu. She says he needs mouth to have laddu. He says she likes sweets, so her mother named her Cheeni. Cheeni asks if he has any friend whose is named after some stuff. Aryan recalls Imlie.
Narmada’s condition deteriorates after Anu poisons her. Malini reaches Rathore House and says she will call Aryan. Arpita says let it be as Aryan can’t do anything from Pagdandiya. She tells Sundar that they should take Narmada to a hospital. Malini says Aryan should know about it and calls Aryan. Aryan asks Cheeni to check who called him. She spells name. Aryan says let it be as he doesn’t want to talk to Malini. Cheeni instead of rejecting the call picks it. Malini sees her and recalls her baby girl. Cheeni calls her ma. Malini asks who is she and why is she carrying Aryan’s call, looks like a small girl stole Aryan’s phone. Cheeni warns her to mind her tongue. Malini says all Pagdandiay people are thieves.
Aryan speaks. Malini informs him that his mother’s health has deteriorated suddenly. Aryan gets worried and asks Cheeni to free him. Imlie reaches home and freezes thinking her daughter is with a city man and she is unable to face her past. Aryan panics and asks Arpita to take Narmada to hospital immediately. Cheeni asks everyone to keep quiet, rudely tells Malini that she doesn’t look intelligent and hence should give phone to someone intelligent. Arpita snatches phone from Malini. Cheeni asks her to take a deep breath and then feed neem leaves water to Narmada. Aryan asks cheeni if she knows what she is doing. Cheeni says she is confident. Namada’s condition normalizes and she asks Aryan not to worry about her. Arpita asks Aryan if he met Aryan. Aryan says he came her to confront a report who wrote a wrong article against Bhaskar Times and then will return back to Delhi. Arpita hopes he meets Malini and asks him to thank the little girl who helped them.
Imlie breaks the window open and enters house to find out Cheeni shaking hands with the city man. Editor calls her and asks why didn’t she inform him that she used to work as Bhaskar Times’ senior reporter 5 years ago. Imlie says its not a big issue and recalls her first meeting with Aryan till their last fight. Editor says his news paper’s future depends on her past now and he will be destroyed if she doesn’t meet the city man and clear the misunderstanding, she should do anything and save him from the legal battle.
Aryan gets angry waiting for the reporter/Imlie and finds his watch missing. Imlie looks at Aryan’s watch and recalls him. Cheeni asks Aryan if his mother will scold him now. Aryan says his mother doesn’t scold him for losing things. She asks then for what she will scold him. He recalls Arpita scolding him. Imlie cries recalling Aryan and then thinks she should stop crying and speak to the city lawyer. Doctor checks Narmada. Malini tells Arpita that village girl’s home remedy will not work. Doctor says Narmada’s illness is cured completely with home remedy. Anu says Malini is taking care of both business and house, only a daughter and or daughter-in-law can take care of the house so well. Neela and Preeta get tensed and say Malini is like a sister for Aryan. Anu says they joke well. Malini says she is just a business partner and takes Anu from there.
Aryan calls Sundar and goes aside. Imlie walks in next and asks Cheeni why did she bring city man home. Cheeni says he is like coconut, hard from outside and soft from inside. Imlie asks if she trusts him so much. Cheeni says yes and goes to call him, but finds him already gone. She offers half laddu to Imlie and jokes that she heard on a TV that one’s love increases if they share food, now Imlie will fall in city man’s love. Imlie scolds her, and she runs away laughing.
