I’m on the edge 27 September 2022: Jaggu asks Varun if you have gone mad? I brought you here, why would I kill Alek? what will I get? I just want money for you and myself.Varun says to Devika’s parents that I am sorry, I dont know who is framing Devika. Lajjo she was not with us, she left us at farmhouse and cameback at 4AM. Varun asks whom? Lajjo says Urmi, she was not with us whole night, she cameback after much time. Varun goes to talk to her. Dhani thinks that Urmi was missing that night, if Varun doubts her then he wont doubt the real culprit.
Varun drags Urmi to lounge and says you killed Alek and framed Devika. Urmi says what proof do you have? Varun says you left farmhouse that night, she says I had some work, he says at night? Maasa slaps her and says you have been trying to stop my plan, she twists her hand and says I am not getting money because of all this, what did you do? Urmi says I am telling you I didnt kill Alek. Varun says you left farmhouse and came here that night, I can call that inspector and she can ask you her way. Urmi says I came home that night, I saw Alek but he was alive that time and I left. Varun asks why did you come at night here? Urmi says I have a student.. who works in trust which Adhiraj created for his will, he is Nikhil, after Devika gets money, trust will be closed, I just wanted to talk to him about that, I thought no one was home so I called him here but when we came here.. flashback shows.
Urmi and Nikhil coming to house that night, she says we are here openly now, Nikhil says Devika will get money and trust will be closed but if Devika dies then trust will get money and we will get it, he gives poison to Urmi. Urmi sees aarti plate and Devika made to break her fast, she says Devika made it for her fast, she mixes poison in kheer and says she will die and now we will get money. She sees Alek coming there, she says once Devika dies then we will get this money, lets leave. They both leave. Flashback ends. Urmi says we left poisoned kheer there but when I came there in morning, that kheer was untouched, I dont know who killed Alek. Vasundra comes there and says lie.. I found out where that poison is sold and who bought it, she grabs Urmi and says you killed my brother, Nikhil bought it, he accepted that you gave poison to Alek.
Urmi says no one ate that kheer. Vasundra says to Varun that I should have listened to you, your love is pure, even after so much plan, Devika is safe. Varun sees Devika coming there, he runs to her. They are happy to see each other. Urmi says I didnt kill Alek. Vasundra says you took my happiness from you, I will make your life hell. She drags Alek from there. Dhani recalls flashback.. Alek came home and was drinking wine that night, he drank that and felt dizzy. Dhani came there and thought that she had already mixed poison in wine so Alek will die and Devika will be blamed. Flashback ends. Dhani fumes in anger seeing Varun and Devika hugging.
Scene 2
Dhani comes to her room and says I killed Alek to separate them but they are together now. Kesar comes there and says dont worry. Dhani says I planned all this but this brought them so much closer that no one can come between them, do something, she cries and hugs her. Kesar thinks I wont let what happened with me happen with you.Varun comes in lounge and sees Devika in saree and lighting up whole lounge. Devika smiles at him. Varun lovingly looks at her and comes to her. Devika says you know I was thinking how diya and baati gives light together and are empty without each other like us, you saved me from all troubles.
She holds his hands and says you did so much for me, dont know if you were not with me then I would have died. Varun stops her. He says we are starting new life so dont talk about death, I did everything for my life which is you, I did it for my heartbeat which beats for you. He pulls her closer and caresses her face.Varun says to Devika that you are my life and heartbeat, Devika lovingly looks at him. They dance with each other, aja piya plays. Varun pulls her closer and dances with her. They waltz around and romances with each other. Varun cups her face and says I love you a lot, she says me too.
Varun says I want to remarry you not because I have to save you from someone but because we love each other and want to become one. Devika says you are the nicest husband, we are tied together, I will remarry you not because we had to marry earlier but because I love you so much and want to become yours forever. Varun says we will go to mandir tomorrow with everyone and willingly accept each other as husband and wife, Devika. Varun lifts her in his arms and takes her from there.Varun brings Devika to their room. Varun has taken off his shirt. He makes her sit on bed and sits beside her, he romances with her. Varun caresses Devika’s face, aang laga de re plays.
Varun kisses Devika’s neck, she moves away, Varun pulls her closer and kisses her cheek, she closes her eyes and feels emotions, Varun runs hands over her arms and join their hands together, he kisses her knuckles. Devika smiles at him. Varun takes off her bangles. Devika pulls her hair on side and turns towards Varun, he unties her blouse dori, Devika blushes and hugs him. Varun caresses her back, Devika lies down on bed. Varun smiles and takes off her anklets and kisses her feet. Devika clutches sheet in her hands. Varun leans over Devika on bed and kisses her neck.. they both clutch each others hands and make love all night.
In morning, Varun’s mom says to Lajjo that I knew they will forget their troubles and become one. Lajjo says true and hugs her. Maasa says to Jaggu that this is out of my control now, once we get money then we will throw them out. Dhani asks if everyone is ready for marriage? Maasa says where is your mom? Dhani says she will to mandir directly. Maasa asks where is bride and groom? Devika and Varun comes there dressed as bride and groom. Dhani fumes in anger seeing them. Varun’s mom sees hickey on Devika’s neck and asks who bit you there? Devika blushes. Varun says it must be.. mosquito.. Varun’s mom asks if that mosquito’s name is Varun? Varun gets embarrassed. Suddenly Varun faints. Devika rushes to him and hugs him, she asks if he is fine? what happened to you? all are tensed. Devika cries hugging him.
Varun wakes up and says if I knew wife hugs like this then I would have slipped earlier. Devika sees he was pretending and gets angry, she pushes him away and says dont joke like this again otherwise I will kill you, you made me worry. Varun says what if something really happens to me? Devika says I can give life but cant let anything happen to you. Varun says I am joking, nothing happened to me, I will always be with you. They all leave.
Dhani sits in car with Devika and Varun. Dhani says I am sister in law so I will go with you both. Maasa is in another car with family and asks why Dhani is going with them? God she can do anything wrong. Jaggu says let her come with them, nothing will happen. Maasa says I dont trust Dhani, if she does anything then I will kill Kesar’s daughter, I waited 18 years but not anymore, I want money now.
Scene 2
Varun and Devika are in car, Varun asks what you need in wedding gift? she says I got you so I dont need anything else. Varun says I am yours, what else you need? She holds Varun’s hand and says I want your togetherness forever holding my hands. He says I am always with you, what do you need in a gift? Devika says you are a biggest gift for me, even a single rose from you is a treasure for me. Varun says you have asked me something for first so I will get you a rose, she says its not needed. Dhani fumes in anger seeing them. Varun says you have asked for something so I have to get it. Varun gets down from car and goes to buy a flower. Devika says I am so happy to get Varun. Dhani says you are happy and lucky both, she eyes Varun sadly.
Varun buys a rose for Devika and smiles. Varun is coming towards Devika’s car with flower. Kesar is coming there in her car. She approaches Varun and hits him with her car. Varun fly away and gets injured with his head bleeding. Devika sees it and screams Varun! Kesar drives away from there. Devika rushes to Varun. Dhani runs to him too. Devika says Varun dont do this joke, she sees flower in his hand and tries to wake him up, she says I wont talk to you, please open your eyes. She hugs him and sees him not moving and blood oozing out from his head, her hands shake seeing blood on them.
Varun is taken to the hospital after he got hit by the car. Devika runs to mandir to pray for him. Devika prays in mandir for Varun’s health.Dhani asks doctor how is Varun? Doctor says he is in coma and we cant do anything more, only prayers can save him.
Devika prays in mandir and says to Maa that you do what you want but this time you have to change your decision, you have to save my Varun’s life.
In hospital, all family members wait for Varun. Varun is in ICU. Jaggu says to Maasa that we should care about our money, get Devika’s signature and end it. Maasa says I cant trigger her at this time, she might not give me money in this condition. Lajjo says to Varun’s mom that dont worry, Varun will be fine, Devika is praying for him, she is Devi’s blessing, she will save him.Devika is in mandir and doing pooja for Varun, ek tu hai plays as Devika recalls their moments together. She prays for him and cries.
Kesar comes to hospital. Dhani cries and says someone hit Varun by car, he got in accident, he is fighting for life, he is not fine. Kesar hugs her and says he will be fine. Kesar thinks how she hit Varun with her car, she thinks I hit him with such force because when Varun will die then Dhani’s obsession with him will end too, I thought he will die and Dhani will be free but he got saved.
Nurse come to family and says Varun is awake, this is like a miracle, all are happy.
In mandir, Devika gets a call, she shakily holds it and says Devi Maa I only want to hear the happy news, she takes call. Lajjo says Devi listened to you, Varun is fine, he is awake, your prayers brought him back. Devika is elated and thanks Devi Maa. She runs from there.
Varun comes out of his room holding knife, he scares everyone and acts like a maniac. He grabs Maasa and puts knife on her neck, he says I got her, dont come closer to me. Varun’s mom says what are you doing? I am your mother, Varun says no my mother has gone to bring chocolates, he acts like a kid. Maasa says I am sorry, please leave me. Devika comes there and shocked to see him acting like that. Maasa says leave me, I am your grandmom. Varun says you didnt save me from that bear(nurse), I will kill you, he is about to hit her with knife but Devika comes there and hods his knife, Varun leaves Maasa and looks at Devika. Devika throws knife away. Maasa is about to slap Varun but Devika holds her hand and glares at her. She shakes her head. Varun hides behind Devika. Nurses come there and try to take him away. Devika says why you are doing this with him? Varun tries to fight them back. Devika tries to free them but nurses push her away, Devika is about to fall down but someone holds her hand and stops her from calling. Varun is taken from there. Man says Varun have Amnesia, patient goes behind, Varun will act like 8 years old kid, his mind will work like a kid. Devika says you can make my Varun fine right? tell me my Varun will be fine? Doctor looks at her and is stunned and recalls how he used to friends with Devi. Devika asks if he will make Varun? what happened to him? he will be fine right? Doctor is stunned to see her, he was Devi’s friend Daksh. Another doctor comes there and says he is Dr. Shergil, he got to know about Varun and came here, he is very good doctor and he has made all his patients fine. Daksh can work to save Varun. Devika says to Daksh that I can give money, we got money yesterday, I can give you as much money as you want. Maasa thinks we got money yesterday and she wants to spend all on Varun. Devika says I can give my life for Varun, I will give anything but just make him fine. Daksh is overwhelmed and leaves. Devika runs behind him.
Maasa says to Jaggu that I have get all money with Devika otherwise that girl can spend all money to save Varun, that Varun is no one, he is sitting on my money like a snake. Jaggu says we waited 18 years, I wont let money go from us like this. Maasa says I dont trust Devika, she can do anything, I want all money comeback to us.
Daksh comes to his office and panics. Devika comes to his room and asks if he thought of something to make Varun fine? she pleads to make him fine. Devika asks Daksh to treat Varun, he says I have one condition. She says I will do anything, whatever you want, I will give it, just make him fine. Daksh says get married to me. Devika is disgusted and says what are you saying? Daksh says what happened? you wanted to do anything to save him, go to any extent, even ready to sell yourself so what happened now? I am not asking you to do anything inappropriate, I never married, I am a doctor and rich, I am just asking you to marry me. Devika says what kind of doctor are you? Doctor’s duty is to save his patients and you are doing a deal here? you want my answer right? she slaps him hard and leaves. Daksh is embarrassed and angry.
