Gangaa 24 June 2020: Ganga and Sagar not finding the pppy. He feels cold. She asks him to take her shawl. He says I m boy, I m strong. They look for the puppy. He gets tired. She says if anything happens to you, you can go home, I will find puppy alone. He says no, I m fine, we will find the puppy. Prabha gets Ram ji Bhai’s call.
Ratan asks why is she not taking call, is someone bothering her. She says I m getting wrong numbers. She treats Ratan and Yash with love and they get puzzled by her behavior change. Yash asks her is she unwell, she is doing well, the one who works well wants something or did mistake. Prabha says I m not like you. Ratan says but Yash is like you, I trust him. Prabha goes to make tea. She gets call again and switches off her phone.
Ganga hears the puppy sound and asks Sagar to come. Sagar walks by difficulty. Amma ji says kids did not come till now. Niru asks Amma ji and Madhvi not to worry, kids will come. Amma ji worries for the kids. Niru asks Madhvi to come inside. Madhvi says no, I won’t go till Sagar comes, we have to save him from cold, if anything happens to him. He says nothing will happen. Shanta comes and asks for tea. Shanta sees them worried and asks what happened. Madhvi prays to Santoshi Maa.
Ratan says he will drop Yash to school. They leave. Prabha says she can rest well now. She sits to watch tv. Ram ji bhai comes her home and she gets shocked seeing him. Sagar and Ganga come inside some old house and look for puppy. Sagar coughs and asks her to come. Ratan drops Yash to school and asks did he check bag and keep all books. Yash asks him to check his bag. Ratan says I got everything, and realizes he forgot one file. He thanks him and asks him to study well. He calls Subhash and says he forgot his file at home, he will get it and come. Sagar and Ganga hear some man’s voice and Ganga goes to see.
Ram ji bhai says he has caught Prabha. She scolds him. he also gets angry and asks how can she take so much time, he called her six times since morning, return money else I won’t leave. She requests him to go, and says she will return money in 2 days, else Ginni will pay. He says I will take money and go. She shuts the door. She prays to Lord to help. He says I won’t go till I get money. She thinks what to do.
Sagar coughs and gets dizzy. Ganga and Sagar see few men playing cards. The men ask them to leave and do not give the puppy. Sagar and Ganga try to take puppy. Ganga scolds them. The men ask what will they do and bully Sagar. They push Ganga. Sagar gets angry and asks how dare you push my Ganga, I will not leave you all if she gets hurt. They laugh and asks Sagar to beat them. Sagar gets angry. Pulkit and Maharaj come there to find Sagar and Ganga. They leave. Ram ji gets police and asks Prabha to open door. She sees Ratan outside and says I m gone now. The inspector says we have to break the door, open the door. Ratan asks them what is the matter. The inspector scolds Ratan. Ram ji bhai looks at him. The men beat Sagar. Ganga shouts. Pulkit and Maharaj stop hearing Ganga. Ganga asks them to leave Sagar. She beats the men with a wooden stick. She gets puppy and asks Sagar to get up fast, else those men will catch them again.
They run from there. Sagar gets unwell. Pulkit comes and scolds those guys. The guys run from there. Sagar faints. Pulkit lifts Sagar and takes him. Ganga asks Pulkit what happened to Sagar. They take Sagar in rickshaw. Ganga covers Sagar with her shawl. Pulkit looks at her.
Ganga keeps asking Pulkit. Tell me what happened to Sagar. They reach home. Maharaj ji calls out for everyone. Everyone rushes to Sagar’s side. He is all cold. They cover him up. Madhvi rubs his hands. Shanta Dadi looks on from a distance. Amma ji looks at Ganga. She keeps the puppy down. Amma ji thinks of Madhvi’s words. Shanta Dadi asks Mehri to bring hot water. Niru goes to call doc.
Ratan asks policemen why they are here. Ram ji recognizes him. You only told me the wrong address. Now I know that you both husband and wife are in this together. Ratan warns him to mind his tongue. He knocks on the door. She is completely stuck. She finally opens the door and hugs him. This man is after me. Is this a way to speak to a lady who is alone at home? He also brought police! Ratan comforts her. tell me what happened? She cries.
Doc checks Sagar. I had warned you previously to keep him away from cold. You might have to pay badly in other case. He writes medicines for Sagar and advices what all they should give him. He leaves. Niru takes Pulkit outside to know what happened and how. Ganga thinks of how Sagar protected her all along. Madhvi goes to light a diya in temple. Amma ji too goes to ward off evil eyes off Sagar. Shanta Dadi enters just then and does the same. Amma ji is taken aback.
Ratan agrees to return the jewellery. We cannot pay that much money. Ram ji taunts him. Why did your wife buy it when you couldn’t afford it? You might have time to waste but I don’t. Ratan asks Prabha for the jewellery. She replies that she lost it. He scolds her. They were of 1.5 lacs! She finally tells him the truth. He gets all the more angyr on her.
Amma ji talks to Sagar even though he is unconscious. I will give you everything you want. Just say it. Sagar smiles as he opens his eyes. He confirms about it again from her. She nods. He asks her to let Jalebi Prasad stay with them. She gives in. He smiles broadly and so does Ganga. Amma ji says nothing is bigger for me than you in the entire world. Sagar hugs her. You are very good. She says my life is in you. I will die if something happens to you. He falls asleep once again. Amma ji tells Ganga to make sure Jalebi Prasad never enters her room or kitchen. Sagar asks about Jalebi Prasad. Ganga picks him up in her arms and sits down next to Sagar. All three of them share a happy moment. Madhvi brings turmeric milk for Sagar. Shanta Dadi asks Amma ji about Jalebi Prasad. Amma ji says I allowed them to keep the puppy. Dadi likes what her grandson likes. My stubbornness fails before his happiness. Madhvi says wish you could understand it earlier. Your stubbornness ends only when someone’s life is in risk. She leaves. Shanta thinks that the fire set by her wont douse so easily. It will keep simmering every day.
Ratan requests police inspector to understand his situation. I don’t have money to pay back Ram ji. I am a normal employee in railway. I don’t earn too much money. I earn meagre salary and manage my expenses within that money. I had to sell my silver coins, that I saved over the years, so I could celebrate Diwali this year. Ram ji asks for either his money or jewellery. Ratan tries to make him understand he doesn’t have money. It is very hard for me to make ends meet. I don’t have that much money to give you. Ram ji asks for the house in that case. Ginny interrupts them. It wont be needed.
Madhvi thinks of Sagar’s condition. What if something had happened to him today? She feels dizzy. Shanta Dadi rushes to her side. let us go to doc. Madhvi denies. I have a lot to do. We will go later. Shanta Dadi notices Amma ji outside. She insists on Madhvi to take care of herself first. You look after the entire house. Everything will be in mess if anything happens to you. Madhvi still refuses to go. Shanta Dadi sits down to help Madhvi. Mehri asks Amma ji what’s to be made in dinner. Amma ji instructs her as to what is to be made for Sagar.
Ginny keeps the money on table. This is the entire amount. She walks up to Prabha next. Prabha is my friend. How can you harass her for such a small amount? Take your money and leave. Prabha thanks Ginny. You are really my true friend. You cannot see me in pain and problem. Ginny opens her folded hands. I dint do it for you. I did it for your husband Ratan. She looks at Ratan.
Ganga has gone outside on her bicycle to get papaya for Sagar. Doc said that it is good for his health. I will feed him ample papayas so he gets well fine. Sudha, Pishi Ma, Mamta meet her on the way. They are very happy to see her happy. Is this cycle yours? Ganga nods. Shall I make you all take a round? They all deny. Sudha gives peda to Ganga. Give it to Amma ji. Ganga says this is a sweet. How will AMma ji eat it? She is a widow. Widows cannot eat sweets. Sudha makes her understand that widows can eat sweets if they are given in the form of Prasad. Pishi Ma explains that these are a little joys that the widows can still experience. You are young so you wont understand. They leave. Ganga thinks I am not so young not to understand it. See what I do now! She buys two pieces of sweets from a nearby sweet shop for Amma ji. She hands over the Prasad to the shopkeeper. Amma ji will get happy now. She was so upset all day regarding Sagar
Amma ji makes Sagar drink soup. Ganga enters. I brought Prasad for you and papaya for Sagar. Ganga feeds her with her hands as Amma ji is busy feeding soup to Sagar. Amma ji points out that this isn’t Prasad but sweet
Ganga says I only fed you what Sudha Bua gave me. Maybe God was fed up of old sweets so he gave you new one. She gives it to Sagar too. You will enjoy it. Amma ji asks her what she means. She says Sagar will like it. Sagar finishes soup. Ganga makes him eat papaya next. He says you know Amma ji cannot eat sweets. Ganga knows it too. That wasn’t sweet but Prasad. Sagar smiles. They hear some sound. Amma ji and Ganga go out to see.
Ginny asks Prabha why she is so shocked. I dint say anything wrong. Did you forget? You lost your husband in gambling. Your husband is my property now. Ratan looks at Prabha in shock. He sits down on sofa in tears. Ginny tells them that this is the truth. Prabha lost you in gambling. Coincidentally, I won you. Prabha has turned her face to the other side and is in tears.
A few ladies are singing in Chaturvedi House. Amma ji asks them about it. They share that Madhvi is 3 months pregnant. Amma ji is pleasantly surprised. The ladies ask Amma ji if she really doesn’t know anything. Are you trying to hide it? Why did Shanta call us here then? Ganga is unable to understand the meaning of it. Shanta says I forgot to tell my sister. Madhvi told me everything when she left from the clinic. She must be coming home anytime. Mehri asks for neg from Amma ji. Amma ji happily agrees. She asks the ladies to resume the singing program.
Ganga asks Amma ji what’s happening. Amma ji explains that Madhvi will soon have another baby. Ganga gets excited. Amma ji goes to her room as she hums a bhajan. She takes out a red dupatta and bangles from her trunk. Ganga keeps asking her when Sagar’s little brother will come. Amma ji is thrilled to become Dadi again. I will raise my grandson with love. You should keep distance from him. Ganga compliments her. You look very good when you smile. Amma ji smiles. They hear Niru’s voice and go out.
Yash tells his mother that she may lose papa if she does not send her friend out soon. Prabha brings tea for them. what are you talking about? Ginny keeps a hand on Ratan’s leg. I was asking him when he will shift to my house. Prabha requests her not to take game so seriously. Ginny points out that she has lost Ratan. I paid 1.5 lacs for him. Prabha tries to take Ratan to her side. We are supposed to be together for many births to come. Ratan says you should have thought of it before gambling. I am sold. I have no right to make anyone understand anything. He agrees to go with Ginny. Just tell me when I have to go with you?
Niru asks Amma ji why she got all these ladies here. Amma ji calls it shagun. I am upset with my DIL. It’s been 3 months and she dint tell me anything. She gives neg to Mehri after taking it off frm Madhvi. Mehri is really happy. Shanta looks unhappy though, as the DIL and MIL are bonding again. Amma ji blesses Madhvi. Take good care of my grandson. You made my cry a lot yesterday but today I am not at all angry with you. She cries again. Niru tries to comfort her but she calls them tears of happiness. Shanta asks Madhvi to join them. Amma ji goes to ready the thaal. Niru goes aside to attend a call.
Ginny tells Ratan that it is his house too now. Come in the evening itself. Prabha scolds her for being shameless. You already have a husband. Why are you talking like this? If you want two men then go outside and find someone else. Leave my husband for me. She rests her head on Ratan’s shoulder but he moves aside. Prabha tries to make Ginny understand. Your husband loves you a lot. Please leave my husband. Ginny agrees. My husband is very good and so is Ratan. I have no problem. I will live with both of them. Prabha stumbles. Yash tells her that she really lost everything.
Amma ji brings shagun for Madhvi. Shanta Dadi stops her. Are you in your senses? You are a widow. Did you forget all the rules? How can a widow do godh bharai of Madhvi? Niru ends the call. What are you saying Massi? I don’t believe in all this. Shanta Dadi says your mother also accepts these rules. How did Kanta forget her own rules today? A widow cannot do godh bharai of a married woman. The ladies agree. You can ask another elder of your house to do it. Shanta Dadi points out that she can do it. I am a married woman. I can do it if Kanta permits. Amma ji is completely shocked and hurt but agrees. Ganga feels bad for Amma ji. She smiled after so long but everything went wrong. Is it so bad to be a widow?
Shanta Dadi also tells Amma ji that they cannot make Madhvi wear the chunri she has brought. We will have to make her wear the right chunri of shagun only. Niru and Madhvi feel bad. Ganga interrupts her. Amma ji brought this chunri with so much love. You know nothing. Anyways, anything that the elders of the house do cannot be inauspicious, even if it is a widow. My Bappa used to tell me this. Shanta Dadi tells her to be quiet. Amma ji too signals her. Niru says people are right. Orthodox people cannot get out of their superstitions till they understand it on their own. It is useless to make them understand anything. He leaves. Shanta Dadi starts the ritual. Amma ji looks on from a distance tearfully. Shanta Dadi peeks at her. Madhvi feels bad but is helpless.
Madhvi bends down to touch Amma ji’s feet but Shanta Dadi stops her from doing so. A widow’s shadow also shall not fall on you during this time. Come to me. I will bless you. I am married woman after all.
Amma ji takes her chunri and bangles sadly and leaves from there. Madhvi unhappily looks on. She takes blessings from Shanta but keeps looking at Amma ji. Ganga follows Amma ji inside. Mehri asks Shanta if she can do this ritual. Shanta agrees. Mehri blesses Madhvi.
In her room, Amma ji cries as she looks at the red chunri and bangles. She thinks of her sister’s words. She is hurt. Ganga comes there. Amma ji wipes her tears. Go, don’t make me mad. Don’t go there though. It is inauspicious to be around Madhvi as we are widows. Jiji was right. Ganga sadly leaves from there.
Sagar asks Maharaj ji about the noise. Is there some puja? Ganga shares that Madhvi is pregnant. Maharaj ji smiles and leaves. Sagar is shocked to know about the baby. Ganga says Amma ji said that it will be third grandson only. Pulkit is shocked. Ganga asks them if they dint hear music. Everyone is taking care of Bahu ji so much. Both the brothers decide to talk to their parents. Ganga asks them if they aren’t happy. Your little brother has come. Sagar gets up to go. Ganga stops her but he tells her not to act like a doc. He goes with his brother. Ganga is confused.
Shanta Dadi’s words haunt Amma ji. Niru and Madhvi come there. Your rules and scriptures might stop you from blessing us but no one can stop us from taking the blessing of our mother. Amma ji is touched. She blesses them. She tells Madhvi not to bend down now. Madhvi says nothing will happen to me till you are with us. Amma ji gladly blesses them. Shanta is angry to see them all together. All my hard work went down in drain. Niru wants a daughter. Please bless us that our wishes are fulfilled. We wanted a girl last time too but God heard your prayers.
Niru smies. Sagar overhears them. It means only Dadi was happy when I was born? They deny. We distributed sweets in the colony. Sagar gets angry with his parents. Papa wanted a girl, not me. no one will love me if it is a girl this time. You will forget me. Niru explains that every kid is close to their parents. Madhvi too says the same. Sagar refuses to understand.
Why do you take me to doc? Don’t take me to doc ever again. It will be good if I die. Amma ji tells him not to speak nonsense. Do you want me to die? Sagar says I am right. Pulkit Bhaiya is their only son. Now they will get a daughter too. why do they need me? Niru stops Sagar. Think before you speak. Madhvi tells him not to be angry. Sagar is a kid. Only Dadi wanted me and loves me. He walks away. Niru asks Pulkit to explain things to Sagar. Pulkit too is clueless about it all. I am not worried about you getting a girl but about another kid. Kids will mock me in school. It will be so embarrassing. How will I go to school? How will I face everyone?
Ratan packs his bags. Prabha tries to stop him. Yash looks on from outside. Prabha asks Ratan not to do the same mistake like her. You will not leave me, right? Ratan pushes her back. I am not leaving you. You have sold me for jewellery. It matters more to you than me. he gives her the jewellery. Keep them with you. How does it matter if I am with you or not? She apologizes to him. It does matter to me. I love you a lot.
He picks up his bag. I cannot live here anymore. She holds his ears and blocks his way. I made a mistake but you don’t do it too. You took seven vows with me and married me. You cannot leave me. Ratan asks for the mangalsutra. You ended that relation with your hands. I have no right on you. Prabha keeps trying to stop him but fails. Prabha falls down in the end. Yash laughs seeing her state.
Pulkit is in study with Niru. Niru understands his concern. You feel awkward thinking about what your friends will think. Pulkit looks down. Niru asks him to look him in the eye. Nothing has happened that will make you feel awkward. You are seeing the world through other people’s eyes. 17, 18, 19 is just a number. The day you get mature enough to understand the complexities of your own life, that day I will understand that my son has grown up. He sits back on his chair. Pulkit finally leaves from there.
Prabha comes to Ginny’s house. She goes inside to talk to Ginny’s husband. Your wife is cheating you. She has snatched my husband from me. He corrects her. You sold your husband actually. You lost him in gambling. Prabha is shocked to know that he knows it too. Ratan says everyone knows it. Ginny adds that all three of them will live together. Prabha says you cannot do it. Ginny points out that none of them have a problem. Prabha feels dizzy.
Ginny asks her servant to bring water. Prabha pushes her hand away. You aren’t my friend but my biggest enemy. She walks up to Ratan. You cannot leave me. He replies that a wife has never gambled her husband previously. Ginny points out that it happened once in Mahabharata. Draupadi was gambled on. A big war happened afterwards. This Yuga is different. Forget it that you will get your husband back.
Prabha challenges her. I will get my husband back come what may. I will fight with you till any extent. I will take my husband back from you. She leaves with Yash. Ginny says you will have to fight with your inner greed Prabha. You have to win too. If you lose this time then you will never get it back in your entire lifetime.
Next morning, Sagar plays with Jalebi Prasad. I missed you in school. Ganga sits down to feed milk to Jalebi Prasad. Sagar offers to do it. Ganga says only mothers know how to take care of kids. Sagar takes milk from her. Fathers also know how to do it. I will show you now. Fathers love kids too. Jalebi Prasad drinks milk
