Gangaa 8 November 2020: Sagar is stunned to see Janvi’s body hanging from the ceiling fan.Palash asks his mom why she brought Ganga here. I don’t even know what she thinks about me. Dotn rush into things.
Palash’s mom complains to Ganga. He is asking me why I brought you here. Ganga takes aunty’s side. It is between a mother and daughter. It will be good if you don’t say anything. Palash’s mom smiles. I wish Palash’s would be wife scolds Palash in a similar manner.
Palash’a mom keeps saree on Ganga’s shoulder. I like them. She lies that the girl looks a lot like you (complexion and all). Ganga nods. They go to select ring next. Palash’s mom tells Palash to speak his heart out. This is the right time. He again shares his hesitation but she tells him to do it before he gets old. She excuses herself on some pretext. Ganga asks palash if he liked any ring. He says I am totally confused. You can take any you like. She is surprised. He says I don’t know much about what girls like or dislike. You can select. She likes one ring. He asks the shopkeeper to pack it which surprises Ganga. The shopkeeper asks for size. Palash says you can take her size. Ganga is all confused. Why are you buying a ring of my size? He shares that his mother and he wants her to be the DIL of their house. She likes you very much.
Sagar keeps Janvi on the bed and tries to wake her up. There is no pulse when he checks. He is all panicked and rushes downstairs. Amma ji, Madhvi and Niru see him all tensed. They ask him what happened. Did you have a fight with Janvi again? He is at a loss of words which worries Madhvi badly. He keeps looking and pointing up.
Palash stops Ganga. listen to me. She is upset for he lied to her. How can you even think of this? She demands to know how it all came up to this then. Engagement ring? I cannot be anyone else. He says you are mistaken. She keeps on talking. You must have thought that Sagar is married so your way is clear. He denies. Sagar only came to me. He said you have to move on in life. I wouldn’t have thought of it otherwise.
She is shocked and angry. Who is he to deicde what I want? He has no right! He loves to be great! What did you say to him? Palash says I dint say anything. He wants good for you. She says he isn’t God who can change my destiny. I will confront him. He tells her against it. let us not take it forward. Let’s end this matter here only. She gets Supriya’s call. Supriya tells Ganga Janvi committed suicide. Ganga is stunned. She runs towards home. Palash follows her.
Ratan is looking for his shirt. He finds Yash’s jacket there and asks Prabha. She lies that he might have forgotten it at home. He understands that she is lying. She cooks up a story. He gets angry. You have spoiled him which is why he is only increasing risk for himself and everyone. Can he not understand a small thing? He finds a bundle of money in Yash’s pocket. Is he involved in something wrong? She agrees to talk to him at the right time but he makes her call Yash right away. Yash’s phone is unreachable. He tells her to inform her as soon as she speaks to Yash. Yash calls Prabha. She demands to meet him right away.
People have gathered outside Chaturvedi House. They wonder and speculate what would have happened. Pulkit comes home.
Sagar is sitting beside Janvi’s body holding her hand. Niru is speaking to Janvi’s parents. Supriya takes care of everything. Niru cannot connect with hospital. Pulkit offers to try. Niru denies but Pulkit requests him. Sit down please. Sagar is staring blankly at Janvi. Amma ji wants to put Gangajal in Janvi’s mouth but Niru tells her against it. We cannot touch the body till police comes. Amma ji asks him to make Sagar cry or he will turn into stone.
Yash comes home. He closes all the windows and doors while she keeps asking him why he is doing so. He is crying by now. She tells him not to worry. Police wont do anything to you. I will handle them. What happened? Yash says I dint kill her. It happened by mistake. I dint do anything intentionally. I dint want it. I really dint kill her. She is shocked. Who are you talking about? He replies that Janvi is no more. She keeps his hand on her head. Swear on me that you dint do it. He agrees and relates everything to her. I heard Sagar’s voice. I panicked so I hanged Janvi’s body on fan. I wanted it to look like a suicide. I ran away from there after that. Prabha looks at him stunned.
Amma ji and Madhvi try their best to make Sagar cry but in vain. Ganga and Palash come there. Sagar looks at Ganga. His eyes brim with tears. She goes to him. He hugs her and cries his heart out. Everyone is in tears.
Sagar telling Ganga he tried a lot. I wanted to be a good husband. I wanted to give her all the happiness. I spoke to her. She was also trying. I am not lying. Everything was going fine. She was fine in morning. I don’t know what happened in the evening. He questions Janvi. Ganga tells him to control himself. He hugs her again. Palash looks at the ring in his hand and then at Sagar and Ganga. He leaves from there sadly.
Yash gives gun to Prabha to hide somewhere. She says we always save you but you keep falling deep only. I agree you dint kill her intentionally but she died because of you. She slaps him. he holds her feet asking her to save him. I dint do anything. She agrees. Did anyone see you going there? He denies. She hugs him.
Ganga gives water to Sagar. Police enters just then along with photographers and compounders. Inspector speaks to Niru. Inspector sends photographer to check every thing of the room carefully. You can find some clue there. The photographer heads upstairs. Inspector notices the rope in the house. He looks at everyone carefully.
Yash keeps requesting his mother to do something. My life will be ruined if I go to jail. Set it right somehow. She confirms from him if anyone saw him going there. There is no proof then. Did you leave behind anything in Janvi’s room? He denies. She thinks of it properly. He recalls the suicide note he took from Janvi. He gives it to her. She was trying to attempt suicide when I went to her room. I made her write it. Sagar is blamed in it. Plant it in Janvi’s room somehow. I will be saved then. She says it is a very difficult task but the only way to save you. I will have to leave before police reaches there. Stay at home only. Don’t open any door or window. I will ask your papa to meet me directly at Chaturvedi House. He nods all panicked. She hugs him and comforts him. I will handle everything. No one can even touch my kid. I won’t let any harm come to you. She leaves. He immediately closes the door from inside. He still looks shaken
Inspector asks everyone to tell him everything in detail. Who saw her in this condition first of all? Niru tells him everything. We all were not at home. Sagar came home and saw Janvi hanging from the ceiling fan. Ratan comes there. Amma ji asks about Prabha. He says I am coming directly from office. She will reach any minute.
Prabha notices police in the house. How do I keep the letter now?
Inspector wants to send the body for post-mortem. Niru requests him to wait till Janvi’s parents come but Inspector denies. I have to follow rules. Ward boys take Janvi’s body away.
One photographer goes to get his hand gloves from the jeep.
Inspector tells Niru he will have to check that room. You know the procedure well. Niru agrees to offer them their full support.
The other photographer goes aside to attend a call. Prabha jumps in from the window.
Inspector tells Niru to make sure no family member enters in the room till they are investigating the room. Niru nods.
Prabha keeps the letter in Sagar’s room. She sees them coming up. Where should I hide? They will check the entire room. I will be trapped this way. Niru leaves police upstairs in Sagar’s room.
Prabha has escaped. She gets Yash’s call. The work is done. I kept the letter in Janvi’s room. No one can catch you now. don’t call me now as I am going inside. Take care of yourself.
Madhvi cries as they take away Janvi’s dead body. Janvi’s parents reach just then. They break down seeing their daughter dead. Sagar and Madhvi comfort them. Sagar says sorry to her father. I am sorry that I couldn’t save her. I don’t know why and how she thought of this. Prabha comes there. Don’t know what happened. Janvi was a mature girl. There must be something big. No one kills herself just like that. Everyone is in tears. Sagar comforts Janvi’s father while Madhvi holds Janvi’s mother. They all go inside.
Supriya feels dizzy. Ganga holds her. Niru tells her to rest. Stress is not good for you. She nods. Ganga takes her to her room. Prabha goes to bring water. Ratan finds something fishy so he follows her. What took you so long? She lies about not finding a rickshaw. He asks her if she spoke to Yash. She lies to him. He worries if Yash got involved in something wrong. She says our son isn’t that bad. Handle everyone. I will bring water. He nods and leaves.
Ganga is outside Sagar’s room. She notices Janvi’s saree hanging by the fan. She recalls the last time she saw Janvi all hysterical. The letter flies and falls near her feet. She is shocked to read it. Inspector notices Ganga outside the room. What are you doing here? Ganga immediately hides the letter behind her back. Don’t you know no one can come here till investigation is going on? She nods. I only came to drop Bhabhi to her room. She is unwell. He notices that she has kept her one hand behind her back. What’s in your hand?
inspector asking Ganga, whats in your hands. She says nothing. He asks her to show her hands. She shows her hands. He says fine, go this way. She sees the letter she has thrown there and leaves. Ganga signs Sagar to come upstairs. He goes to her, while everyone is busy. He asks what happened. She says its big problem, Jhanvi wrote a suicide note. He gets shocked and asks what, suicide note, where is it.She says no, I m praying police does not get it. He says police should get it to know why Jhanvi did this, you are law student and saying so. She says no, Jhanvi wrote you are responsible for her death. He gets shocked.
She says I could not get that letter, as that inspector was seeing me, we should do something, inspector should not get it. he says don’t worry, we should tell this to Papa. Inspector gets that note and calls out Sagar. Everyone look on. inspector shows the suicide note. He says got this letter from your room, is this Jhanvi’s handwriting? Jhanvi’s parents check the suicide note. Her dad says its Jhanvi’s handwriting, whats written in it. inspector says she wrote she holds her husband Sagar responsible for her death. Everyone get shocked.
Niranjan says this can’t happen. Inspector asks Niranjan to believe the letter, Jhanvi wrote she is fed up of her life and can’t live anymore, Sagar is responsible for her death, if anything like this happens before marriage completes 7 years, then husband and family also gets in doubt, we have this letter too, where she wrote Sagar’s name clearly. He says you are under arrest Mr. Sagar Chaturvedi.
Amma ji says no, Sagar can’t do this, we know him, this is a lie, don’t know why Jhanvi wrote this. Jhanvi’s dad slaps Sagar hard. Amma ji says leave him. Jhanvi’s dad says why will she write a lie, Sagar has killed my daughter, he provoked her to commit suicide, what was her mistake, that she loved you a lot, she left us and came here.
Jhanvi’s mum asks Sagar why did you kill her, what did you do that she had to commit suicide. She scolds the family and calls all of them Jhanvi’s murder. Jhanvi’s dad says I will not leave you, you can’t be saved after killing my daughter. Inspector tells Niranjan that your family has respect in this family, I m helpless and have to obey law, I have to take your entire family in custody, as this incident happened before 7 years of marriage, under section….
Niranjan says 498A, I understand inspector. Amma ji asks will we go to police station now, entire family? Sagar says she is not our family, leave her. Sagar says no, I m part of this family, if you are arresting entire family, take me along. Maharaj ji tells Ganga that its your duty now to free the family. The neighbors see the family getting arrested and comment. Niranjan takes everyone along, while listening to the people’s comments. Ganga tells Niranjan that she will free all of them. They all sit in the police van and leave. The lady says such a respectable family, and killed their bahu, did they ask dowry. They ask Ganga… Ganga cries and tells Raghav everything. Raghav says I know everyone, they always helped others, I will not leave them alone in tough times. She says Raghav uncle, I will also help them, I will find a big lawyer to fight Sagar’s case, I will not let my family stay in lockup.
