Anupamaa 5 September 2023: Maaya tells Little Anu that she thought they all can stay together happily, but it’s impossible now. Little Anu asks why? Maaya says Anuj and Anupama will fight because of her and hence she will go from here, but she can’t stay without her. She says she died each day when she left her in ashram; Anupama has her 3 children and many family members including Little Anu, but she is alone; hopes she shouldn’t have left Little Anu in ashram. All couples dance at Anupama’s birthday party on Kuch Na Kaho.. song. Little Anu asks Maaya how will she stay alone. Maaya says when she can stay alone for her sake as she just wants to see her happy, she is ready to cry and writhe in pain for her sake and just will wait for her calls often. She acts as breaking down in tears. Anuj and Anupama then dance passionately on Lagjaa Gale Ke Phir Ye Haseen Raat Na Ho..song. Everyone clap for them.
Maaya continues emotionally blackmailing Little Anu questioning god for snatching each relationship from her and how difficult it is to stay alone. She says she will die out of suffocation if her daughter is not with her. Little Anu assures that she will be with her, she will not stay here if her parents will fight because of her and will accompany Maaya. Maaya laughs and thanks her. Anuj and Anupama return home laughing. Anupama hugs and thanks Anuj for celebrating her best birthday. Anuj thanks her for marrying her or else he would have been a bachelor his whole life. They perform each other’s nazar and continue to laugh. Anupama enters Little Anu’s room and calls Anuj in shock. Anuj rushes to her and asks happened. Anupama shows Little Anu’s empty closet with a goodbye note. They both feel devastated.
Barkha, Ankush, and Dimpy hear Anupama’s shout and rush towards her room. Anupama says how can Maaya do this, shakes Anuj and gets him into his senses, and says they should go and search for Little Anu. Ankush asks what happened. Anupama says Maaya took away Little Anu. Anirudh drops Kavya home. Kavya reads Dimpy’s message, rushes inside home in shock, and informs family about Maaya escaping with Little Anu. Anuj calls his contacts and orders to find out Little Anu and Maaya as soon as possible. Ankush says he checked surround area, but couldn’t find them; Maaya used multiple cabs to avoid CCTV coverage. Anuj continues to panic. Anupama thinks she can’t panic and needs to maintain her calm. She gets Maaya’s call. Shahs show their anger towards Maaya’s heinous act. Hasmukh feels concerned for Anuj and Anupama. Leela says how will they find out if Little Anu herself went with Maaya or Maaya forcefully took her away. Samar says kids can easily be manipulated. Leela blames Anupama for letting Maaya stay at home and helping her take Little Anu away. Anuj gets Little Anu’s video call from Maaya’s number. Anuj asks where is she, why did she go without informing them, he will come there to pick her up. Little Anu asks him not to come as she herself went with Maaya and is very happy, they will go far away.
