Rohan asks Parvati why they celebrate Independence Day. Parvati is surprised and asks if he really does not know anything about it. Rohan says he knows they hoist the flag on 15th August, but he does not know the reason behind it. Parvati teases him for not knowing, and Lakshmi steps in and explains the meaning of Independence Day and why it is celebrated.
Later, Lakshmi imagines Neelam warning her to be careful because she will meet many important people as the daughter-in-law of the family. In her thoughts, Lakshmi refuses and says Neelam only considers Malishka as her daughter-in-law, not her. Aanchal and Karishma overhear and comment on Lakshmi. Rishi then tells Lakshmi that if she does not come to the hotel, it will cause a big loss in business. He asks her to rethink her decision. Lakshmi finally agrees to go for the flag hoisting.
Rishi tells everyone that those who want to stay back can do so, but Lakshmi says she will come even though she does not want to. She leaves with the Oberoi family. At the same time, a man is shown buying a gun from a seller.
The Oberoi family reaches the hotel. Rohan and Parvati ask Rishi if they can go inside, but Karishma says they can only enter after the inauguration. Avinash says the inauguration is just a formality and the guests are already inside, so Rishi allows the kids to go in.
CM Sulochana arrives at the hotel with her security team and greets the Oberoi family. Lakshmi welcomes her by putting a garland around her neck. After speaking with them, CM Sulochana cuts the ribbon and completes the inauguration. She then says she needs to prepare for her speech and asks to stay in a suite. Rishi agrees and arranges it for her.
Rohan and Parvati later meet CM Sulochana again and talk to her happily. They ask if they can take a picture with her, and she agrees. Meanwhile, a terrorist disguised as a waiter is seen pushing a food trolley, which secretly has guns hidden inside.
In the suite, CM Sulochana asks her PA if the police have found the person who left a threatening note at her house. The PA says they have not found him yet but assures her that the best officers are working on it. CM Sulochana wonders why someone wants to kill her.
Elsewhere, Rohan explains to Parvati that a hotel is not just for eating but also for staying, and proudly says it is their father’s hotel. Parvati says she is proud of her dad. A terrorist overhears their conversation.
Parvati then asks Lakshmi to check who is nearby. Lakshmi sees Rano and goes to meet her. At the same time, the terrorists gather in a room and check their weapons, including guns and bombs. A sniper named Toby joins them, hiding inside a trolley, and introduces himself. One of the terrorists asks who their boss is and who will lead the mission.
Back in the suite, CM Sulochana tells her PA that when he is with her, she feels like her son is with her. The PA replies that even if he is not her son, he is still very close to her. She agrees, and he leaves to take a call.
Lakshmi talks to Rano, who asks her to help arrange a meeting with CM Sulochana. Lakshmi says she will try, and Rano agrees.
Meanwhile, Anushka asks Aanchal if she has noticed anything unusual. Aanchal asks what she means. Malishka explains that Rishi and Lakshmi are not talking because they had an emotional fight. Aanchal says she noticed it but warns that Lakshmi is still the root of the problem. Malishka agrees with her.
Neelam tells her family that this is her favourite hotel. Harleen adds that it was Virendra’s favourite too. Neelam gets emotional thinking about him and walks away. Karishma questions Harleen for bringing up Virendra, and Harleen responds.
Rohan and Parvati take Rano’s and Lakshmi’s phones to click pictures and run around. Lakshmi and Rano chase them to get their phones back. The kids hide behind Rishi. Rano complains to Rishi and tells him to first understand what they did. Rishi takes the phones from them and returns them to Lakshmi. Lakshmi and Rano leave, while Rohan and Parvati tell Rishi that Harleen is right about him and walk away. Rishi follows them, asking what they meant.
Ayush tries to talk to Shalu, but she responds sarcastically. When he asks why, Shalu says they are only relatives now and nothing more. She walks away, leaving Ayush hurt. Anushka comes and asks what they were talking about, but Ayush says it is nothing.
Rishi makes Rohan and Parvati sit on the couch and asks what Harleen said about him. They say Harleen thinks he is scared of Lakshmi. Rishi denies it and says he is not afraid of anyone. The kids challenge him to prove it by giving them his phone. Rishi hands over his phone, and they happily run away with it.
Later, Lakshmi and Rano accidentally bump into a terrorist, causing him to drop his bag. He argues with Rano, but Lakshmi apologizes and picks up the bag, handing it back to him. As she holds it, she feels something strange and becomes suspicious, but the terrorist quickly leaves. Lakshmi has no idea that she just crossed paths with a terrorist.
