The police officer assures Rishi and Lakshmi that they will help the Oberois find Parvati. Rishi thanks the cops. The inspector asks for a photo of Parvati and Rishi hands it over. He then asks the driver to explain everything that happened so they can investigate from the crime scene.
Lakshmi asks the inspector what they will do next. The inspector suggests Rishi and Lakshmi go home, but Lakshmi refuses and wants to stay for updates. The inspector explains they will hand the case to a special investigator and that police will come to the Oberoi mansion soon with equipment to trace calls. Ayush asks about the equipment. The inspector says they need it in case the kidnappers call for ransom. Lakshmi gets angry and says her daughter does not have time to wait. The inspector warns her not to interfere. Rishi takes Lakshmi away to stop her from troubling the police.
Meanwhile, Ashish and his accomplice take Parvati to a house. They close all windows and doors so no one can hear if she shouts. The accomplice ties her up. Ashish says they should now wait for Malishka’s call so she can come and pay them. When Parvati wakes up, the accomplice stops Ashish from talking and they move away. Ashish feels relieved because Parvati could have overheard everything.
Parvati pleads with Ashish to let her go home, but he tells her to stay quiet.
Lakshmi argues with Rishi and asks why he stopped her from speaking to the cops. Rishi tells her they must let the police do their job or they will never find Parvati. He asks her to calm down. Lakshmi says she can only calm down once Parvati is back. She questions why Rishi looks so calm and asks if he does not feel anything. Rishi replies that he is also very worried. Malishka watches them argue and thinks she made the right decision.
Malishka goes to Rishi and asks if there is any progress. Rishi says nothing yet and the cops are going to the Oberoi mansion. The family follows them home.
At the mansion, the Oberoi family asks the cops if they have found anything but they say no. Vijay, the special investigation officer, arrives and introduces himself. He says they should have received a ransom call by now if it was about money since four hours have passed. Vijay starts questioning everyone about who they suspect.
While Vijay is busy, Malishka secretly messages Ashish. She tells him to call the Oberoi mansion, demand ransom, and use an untraceable number. Ashish tells Leo to get such a phone. He laughs and says they will earn double — money from the Oberois and from Malishka. Leo agrees and leaves.
Vijay tells the family he still has no leads and asks if they are hiding anything. Neelam complains they are wasting time. Just then the landline rings. Everyone thinks it is the kidnapper. Lakshmi wants to answer but Vijay says she is too emotional and asks Rishi to take it. Lakshmi insists because it is her daughter. She picks up the phone. Ashish confirms he is speaking to the Oberoi family and asks if they want Parvati back. While on the call, Malishka messages Ashish to demand the money and cut the call fast because police are tracing it. Ashish demands Rs. 15 lakhs and says he will tell them later where to deliver it, then hangs up. Vijay says the kidnapper is clever. Lakshmi wants to speak to Parvati but Rishi says the call ended.
Lakshmi begs Rishi to pay the ransom and promises to repay him. Rishi refuses. Malishka questions him but Lakshmi tells her to stay out. Neelam intervenes and says Rs. 15 lakhs is nothing for Parvati’s safety. She even offers to pay herself. Rishi still says no.
Ayush asks why Rishi is refusing. Rishi explains that the small amount shows the kidnappers are probably amateurs. Vijay takes Rishi aside and praises him for being mature. He says Rishi should handle Lakshmi more sensitively because mothers get very emotional. Rishi says he is controlling his own emotions too so the family does not panic more. Vijay notes that Rishi thinks about the whole family while Lakshmi only focuses on Parvati.
The police ask the family to go inside but Neelam, Harleen, and Lakshmi refuse. Lakshmi says she will search for Parvati herself if needed. Vijay tells Rishi he is one of the strongest fathers he has seen. Rishi recalls his promise to Parvati and asks what he should do. Vijay wants Rishi to handle future calls and keep Lakshmi away.
Suddenly the landline rings again. Rishi answers and scolds the kidnappers. Ashish warns him not to involve police and demands Rs. 50 lakhs. He tells them to send the police away before Leo cuts the call. Vijay gets confused how the kidnappers know so much. He sees Malishka looking tense and takes her aside.
Ashish asks Leo why he cut the call. Leo says the police would have traced them. Ashish worries if the family will pay. Leo says he knows how to check.
Vijay asks Malishka why she looks so scared. She says she is worried about Parvati but Vijay does not believe her. Malishka then confesses she is worried about her son Rohan and reveals that she is Rohan’s mother and Rishi is his father. Vijay is shocked. A police inspector interrupts to say Lakshmi is causing trouble again.
Lakshmi demands all the cops leave or Parvati will be in danger. Rishi disagrees and they start arguing. Malishka watches them and feels happy that she made the right move.
