Once there was a King 4 January 2022: Kokilla comes there and says Gayatri is hungry since morning, she tells a cook to prepare juice for Gayatri, then goes to prepare a glass for herself and mixes the herb in her ring. Gayatri finishes the glass at once. Raaj Mata asks Gayatri to come with her. Gayatri thinks she will clean the sword once she returns.
Laksh, who was stalking Gayatri comes to take the sword in his hands and smiles.
Rana ji comes down to take his seat in the hall. Mr. Wilkinson arrives with Kunwar ji. Swarna and Gayatri come downstairs together. Mr. Wilkinsons comments that the new Rani is a common girl, she must be really lucky for them. Kunwar ji asks Mr. Wilkinson’s if he has forgotten he met her on Raaj Mata’s birthday as well, she can really be dangerous for him. Mr. Wilkinson’s remembers his insult in hands of Gayatri. Kunwar ji says that she is from common people and will speak the language of common men. It can cost British government a lot.
Gayatri at once feels dizzy.
Kokilla thinks her herb has started to work, she comes to ask Swarna to get her a glass of water. Swarna says she will bring it herself. Kokilla says to Gayatri that today it is her crowning ceremony, what is a British doing here and who is he to stamp her position in the palace. They have stolen everything from India, she wants someone in their country who can show these British their right place. Kokilla comes to Kunwar ji, he asks if something happened. Mr Wilkinson’s comes to Gayatri and says she is lucky to become a Raani being a common man. He has requested the British Government to accept her as a Raani, and hopes she will be loyal to the government. He knows that Indians are loyal as dogs. Gayatri stands up, she throws the crown off Wilkinson’s hand. She says she is loyal to her motherland, not to the robbers who came to rob India of each and everything, even the Kohinoor. Wilkinson’s says she is blaming British, they got schools, roads and trains here. Gayatri says we had the art and culture, they came and made the schools to get clerks, they made roads so that it is easy for them to rob their country. They increased the taxation on people to deprive poor of their basic necessities as well.
Wilkinson’s is enraged at this, he says she has disrespected him and he won’t stay here, he won’t accept her as Raani. Raaj Mata stops him, Rana ji as well. Mr. Wilkinson’s says that who she to misbehave with him is, she must say sorry. Rana ji gets angry that he shouldn’t forget she is Raani. Wilkinson’s says how dare he. Rana ji says how dare he, standing in the royal palace misbehave with his Raani. Wilkinson’s says who is he, the government is of British, and they are just lions on paper. Rana ji says it will cost them much if this paper lion shows him his true colours. Rana ji says it is better for him to do the crown ceremony of Rani and leave. Rana ji challenges him and says if he wins then Wilkinson’s will have to do the crown ritual.
Mr. Wilkinson’s accepts the challenge. Bari Raani maa says to Raaj mata this happens when you brings a common girl as Raani, now each and every drop of blood that will shed from Rana ji’s body will be because of her. Gayatri faints on the chair, Raaj mata asks Swarna to take Gayatri from here.
Rana ji and Wilkinson’s confront each other for sword fight. In the room, Swarna asks Gayatri what she has done, Gayatri wakes up and asks she doesn’t remember anything. Swarna says she insulted a British officer and now Rana ji is having a sword fight with Wilkinsons. The servants bring swords, Rana ji asks for his own. The servant tells him he couldn’t find his Durga karak. Laksh smiles as he had taken it. Rana ji takes the sword, Kunwar ji says to Kokilla that Rana ji will lose because for a fighter his sword is the most important thing.
He is incomplete without his sword.
Gayatri is worried and wonders what she has done, she runs out to the hall.
There in the hall, Mr. Wilkinson’s and Rana ji begin the fight. Wilkinson’s jerks Rana ji away who comes at a defending position other than attacking one. Wilkinson’s sword injures him on arm. Gayatri watches this from the corridor. Mr. Wilkinson’s attach Rana ji on his back again. Kokilla and Kunwar ji are happy. Swarna says to Gayatri that today Rana ji needs his Durga Karak the most, Gayatri remembers having the sword in kitchen and rushes towards there. Gayatri says to Swarna in the kitchen that she will die if Rana ji is injured taking care of her respect. Swarna says that it must be there somewhere. Gayatri says that the sword had the same pearls, they look for pearl through the palace and heads towards the room.
Bari Raani maa was angry at Raaj Mata that only she will be responsible for Rana ji’s defeat today along with Raani.
Swarna and Gayatri looks for the sword. Gayatri’s foot is hurt by the sword, she takes it happily.
Wilkinson’s had got Rana ji on floor, he asks Rana ji to accept defeat. Raaj mata says that his life is worthier than his success, he must accept the defeat. Gayatri runs with the sword towards rana ji. Laksh is shocked to see her with Durga Karak.
Gayatri shouts Rana ji’s name. Laksh wonders how she got the sword. Gayatri throws the sword towards Rana ji, Rana ji takes it out. Rana ji says this lightening is named as Durga, now he will show him its shine. Both Mr. Wilkinson’s and Rana ji confronts each other, and in the encounter Rana ji finally defeats Mr. Wilkinson’s. Gayatri prayed for Rana ji’s victory. Mr. Wilkinson’s fell on the ground, this time Rana ji was at victory. Mr. Wilkinson’s says that he had given him a chance, but Rana ji says he won’t give him any chance, he has learned it from British.
He points the sword at the chest of Mr. WIlkinsons’s, then says what he should do about the India heart. He draws back his sword and gives a hand to Rana ji. Gayatri whistles, then gets her mistake. She hoots
for Rana ji. Rana ji says he had to teach him from sword, now he must complete the crown of Raani Gayatri. Mr. Wilkinson’s nods. Swarna brings Gayatri to her chair. Gayatri thinks that she is lucky to get a husband like him who can do anything for the respect of his wife. Mr. wilkinson’s comes and says to Gayatri that she is lucky that Rana ji defeated him, else the way she had insulted them, neither British government nor him would have worn her a crown. Gayatri stops him. Raaj Mata asks what happened. Gayatri says that this crown is a great respect for her and the right to give this respect only lies to the one who can protect her. Her protector is in front of her and looks at Rana ji. She says only Rana ji has the right to put this Crown on her head. She asks if she is wrong?. Mr Wilkinson’s says that Rani has again insulted him. Kunwar ji asks if she speaks about respect, where this respect goes in front of guests. He says British government is their well wisher and the rulers as well. Gayatri apologizes from him and his guests, she repeats that British will not always live here. Amirkot will always be ruled by Rana ji. She wants the king to do the crowning ceremony today. Kunwar ji asks Rana ji to stop Gayatri Devi. Rana ji corrects him asking him to call her Raani Gayatri Devi. He tells Mr. Wilkinson’s he agrees with what Rani Gayatri Devi is saying. Mr. Wilkinson’s says that he promise him he will have to repent for what he has done today, he leaves.
Kunwar says to Raaj Mata this is the result of making a common girl as Raani. Bari Raani maa says Rani Gayatri Devi did it all right. She had objection on her being a Raani, but today she is with her. They are Rajpoots, and when they don’t bend in front of death, how can they bend in front of British. She takes the decision that this state’s king Rana Indravadhan will worn the crown on Gayatri’s head. Rana ji stands up, Gayatri also stands. He looks at her for a while, then puts the crown on Gayatri’s head. Everyone claps. Rana ji nods at Gayatri, then announces that Raani Gayatri Devi is the new Raani of Amirkot from today.
Bari Raani maa calls for the royal dinner to begin. Rana ji asks Gayatri to come with her, the couple walks towards the table. Swarna brings the plate and tells them to begin. Raan Mata notices Gayatri and Rana ji looking at each other, Rana ji says she must begin, his plate will just arrive. Gayatri asks him to begin, she can’t eat before him. Raaj Mata says they both must eat in the same plate, it is a Royal ritual. Rana ji looks at Raaj Mata, then begins to eat. He takes a bite, Gayatri notices him. Swarna asks if he liked the food, Gayatri has cooked it. Rana ji says it is good. Swarna teases and asks didn’t he like it, so it is bad. Rana ji says no, it is really good. Raaj Mata and Bari Raani maa smile.
During the dinner, Rana ji picks up a vegetable and looks at it wondering how to eat it. Gayatri thinks she laughed during shooting, she won’t now. She tells Rana ji how to eat it, telling him how to hold it correctly. Rana ji nods, and through the wink of eye confirms if he is eating it right. Gayatri affirms. Both look at each other when their hands touch each other, Gayatri withdraws hers. Rana ji takes a leave from the table. Raaj Mata thinks that she believes Rana ji will now accept Gayatri. Swarna says to Gayatri that she was wonderful today. She tells her to come to get ready for wedding night today.
