Once there was a King 2 June 2022: Raja shuts them both calling them idiots, and says he doesn’t love any of them. He can never love any girl, and brings out Rani’s photo. He says this is the story of hatred, he hates Rani so much that he never married Laila. Raja had a single Rani who betrayed in return of love, he can never trust any girl again.
People never forget love, he is unable to forget hatred. He paints this face each night, then throws the paintings off his cupboard. The lights begin to blink, Naina and Laila worried. Raja shouts he already told Naina to stay away from him and go away. Laila considers this a story to cover his and Naina’s illegitimate relation, they have played against her and she will never forgive them both for this. Naina says she knew his wife betrayed him, but she didn’t know he hates her so much. She now understands why he hates her face so much. Raja clarifies he only bear her, not love her. Her face would always be a wall between them.
While walking across the corridors, the lights of palace blink again. Naina was frightened as she hears Rani’s call not to leave. Naina asks who the lights get stable is there, at once. At night, Naina wakes up as someone calls her. She sits into her bed to see Rani enter the room. Naina tries to touch her but Rani vanishes. Naina was tensed for being haunted. Mummy and Rekha wake up, Naina hears Rani’s call again and takes Mummy and Rekha’s attention. Mummy denies about any voice. Naina says someone has been calling her name for a long time, Mummy and Rekha says the past events had a bad effect over her.
The next morning, Laila comes into Naina’s room with the goons to throw them out of the house. Naina had been packing bags and say she is leaving already. Laila was enraged and clutches Naina with the back of her hair. The lights in the corridor blink, tables falling off in middle of the way. Rani was watching this from the corner as Laila slaps Naina. Suddenly, a vase hits Laila’s head.
Mummy, Rani and Rekha run out of the palace. Naina turns to look around, thinking she is leaving with tears in her eyes. She was stopped as her dupatta was stuck in Raja’s photo frame. She holds it crying as she speaks she is leaving.
The doors of palace were shut for her, Mummy and Rekha run backwards as Rani thinks its Raja’s goons who have attempted to stop her from leaving the palace. Mummy and Rekha say the door is unlocked from outside, Naina says if it’s open from both inside and outside why it doesn’t open. Rani stands behind Naina and says she can’t leave. Naina rubs her eyes, and slaps her face; then shivering out of pain she stammers and requests her to let her go, she would never return.
In the room, Nani scolds Laila asking if she is more dangerous or crazy.
She thinks she would be able to get a place in Raja’s heart by throwing Naina out of here.
Rani asks Naina not to leave. Naina tries to touch her but her hand passes off Rani’s body. She faints there. The door opens, Mummy and Rekha cry beside Naina. Laila and Nani also come out, Mummy requests them to carry Naina inside. Nani sends the servants inside, and take Laila inside not ready to help. Rekha brings water for Naina. Vikrant runs towards them, and helps Rekha to carry Naina inside the room. Rekha thanks Vikrant but he silently leaves without replying.
Raja sat at roadside, crying. Rani walks towards him. Raja throws a stone towards her, without having noticed her. Rani says he must hurt her even more and pour most of his anger over her, but not hurt himself. She walks to him and calls his name. Raja sits there without noticing. Rani calls his name, then cries as she wasn’t able to touch him. She speaks to Raja she has been calling him for years, but he remained stone hearted. Her soul has been connected in the jail of his closed heart, but he looked towards her in years just when he searched for Naina. Only Naina can love him as much as he can, that’s the reason only she can see her. Raja turns to leave the bench, then screams I Hate You! He drives away, while Rani was left there, upset.
At midnight, Naina wakes up screaming out of fear. Vikrant brings juice for Naina. They all ask Naina why she fainted. Naina recalls her confrontation with Rani, then says she didn’t realize if it was weakness. Later, Naina walks to the hall alone, conscious of her surroundings. She calls Rani, then slaps herself saying she must get away before she gets crazy here. The door of the palace opens, Naina watches Rani enters. Naina cries and asks her not to hit her, she promises to go away from her husband as she needs to fulfil her mother’s dream. Rani says it may be her hard luck that she can’t let Naina leave.
Naina can see and hear her, she has come to take her help. Only Naina can tell Raja that Rani was never disloyal to him. Raja has turned his face away, the pain of her disloyalty doesn’t let him live; would Naina help her for the sake of love. Naina was stunned, Rani says she would not get freed from here until Raja trusts her loyalty. Rani was ready to do anything if Raja gets peace by any of her action. Rani asks her to come along, Naina thinks what if something gets wrong? Rani reads her mind and says nothing would go wrong.
Naina asks where they are going, Rani replies Ambay Maa’s temple. She is taking here there to meet Raaj Mata. Naina asks why their names are like Raja, Rani and Raaj Mata. Rani says she is the only proof of her loyalty, Raja had been looking for her at the wrong place all along, but only Raaj Mata can make Raja believe.
On the way, Naina hears Vijay’s call and was afraid. Vijay walks towards Naina and asks why is so shocked to see her. He loved her and would cross every barrier to reach her. He moves his step towards Naina but was prevented from moving on. Naina looks towards Rani’s stare at Vijay who was unable to move forward. Raja had just driven there, he turns his car towards them.
Raja drives towards Vijay and Naina and clutches Vijay’s collar, beating him badly. Naina comes to save Vijay, saying its not necessary to be an animal to stop a wild animal. Raja recalls it was Rani’s words and drags her towards the palace. Naina asks Raja to go to temple, Raja says she may go tomorrow morning. Naina looks towards Rani, then insists to go right now. Raja goes to open the door of car for her angrily. Rani nods at Naina who hurries into the car, Rani had vanished by then.
On their way, Naina looks towards Rani sitting at the back seat. Raja looks towards the back, and assures Naina that Vijay won’t come. Rani forbids her to tell anything to Raja. Naina says she was just watching the blowing winds. Raja tells Naina he would protect her no matter what.
In the temple, Raaj Mata led the Pooja in temple. Naina goes out to see Rani already waiting for her. Rani leads them inside, Raja follows. There is a blow of strong wind, Naina comes to save the flame with Raaj Mata who was shocked to see her. Rani’s eyes had been filled with tears. Raaj Mata lose her conscious while Raja comes to hold her. Raaj Mata touches her face and hugs him, crying. She then touches Naina’s hand and hugs her too.
Raaj Mata asks Naina where she had gone, she considers Naina to be Rani. Raja tells Raaj Mata to control herself, she isn’t Rani; her name is Naina and resembles Rani. Naina looks towards Rani. Raaj Mata wasn’t ready to accept her as someone else and insists this is Rani. Raja says she isn’t Rani, then asks Naina to introduce herself. Naina tells Raaj Mata she isn’t Rani, but Naina. Raaj Mata now realizes and was upset. Rani points towards Naina to hold her saree.
Naina asks Raja if Rani also held her dress like this. Raja asks how Naina discovered Raaj Mata, Naina looks around but Rani had come the other way and sings for Naina to repeat the lullaby that Raaj Mata sung for Raja and Rani. Rani cries, Raaj Mata says Rani is not in this world but how is Naina aware of this lullaby. Naina says Rani’s soul told her about it. Raja scolds her to end this drama. Naina says she isn’t lying, else he should wonder how she found Raaj Mata.
Rani’s soul brought them here, she wanted to tell him about the truth and remove the misunderstandings between them. Raja interrupts her to stop it, it would be a joke if they consider it a misunderstanding. Rani betrayed him and broke his trust. She wanted to take his life and that also for someone else. Raaj Mata slaps Raja, she says love is a prayer. Raja was unable to recognize Rani. She didn’t attempt to kill him, but lost her own life just to save Raja.
Rani loved him so much, and lost her life in Bombay. She wanted to revenge Iqbal for his blood, she came close to Iqbal to kill him but her trick went against her. She still saved him and Ambika, a car came to save Raja and Rani made the accident. Iqbal died in the accident, and Rani also lost her life. Raja asks Naina if she thought about bringing Raaj Mata with any story for him. Naina says Rani’s soul is right there, she can see them. Raja asks why he can’t see her soul if she is here, if her love was true why can’t she speak to her directly.
Vijay comes with his men to kill Raja and Naina both.
Raja drags Naina to go away. Rani reminds Naina that Raja once locked her into a room with a frog. Naina reacts to his act. Raja says anyone from their college can tell her about the story. Rani then reminds, they had taken their own vows before marrying; she repeats all the vows. Raja was taken aback. Naina then reminds Raja of being in a Bombay hospital where there was an accident case, he signed the papers but didn’t see her face. Raja remembers the day well. Naina says Raja has been punishing himself and Rani both, he must at least free her soul now. Vijay comes holding a gun towards Raja, his hands tremble.
Rani alerts Naina about Vijay and tells her to take them away. Vijay runs behind them. Laila was worried about Raja when she watches Raja and Naina arrive with Raaj Mata. She asks if her house is an orphanage, Raja interrupts her to shut up. He can bear anything but his Dadu’s insult. Laila wasn’t ready to stop, Raja pushes Laila inside her room and locks her there. Naina follows Raja to his room and knocks from outside. Rani comes to Naina and requests her to go to Dadu, she herself passes the door into Raja’s room.
Inside, Raja cries over the bed. Rani also cries sitting beside him. Raja says his love came out to be really weak. Rani speaks to Raja that had it been really weak, he must not have this pain in his heart. Raaj Mata comes to Naina and asks if she loves Raja a lot? Naina says she thought she loves Raja, but today she realized Rani’s love was so strong for Raja. Raaj Mata gets tear eyed, saying Rani’s love was… Naina’s love is. Her Rani can’t return, their love story has ended now. Raja looks at Naina and asks if Rani is still there? He wish to see her once, and speak to her.
Naina asks if she can be seen by Raja, Rani says Raja once saw her when Naina left his wedding and he was looking for her. Naina says even Rani wants to come to him, she thinks about an idea. She asks if she can get into her body. Raja says Naina doesn’t do this, Rani was also not ready as this may put her life at stake. Naina says her reason to stay is to get two lovers connected. She gets seated, Rani enters her body.
It was Rani in Naina’s body now. She stands up to Raja, calling him Raja Baja and holds his hand. Tears fell off Raja’s eyes as they hold each other’s hand closely. They hug each other, Raja kiss over her forehead. He says she might have ended, but his love for her didn’t die. Rani says love never ends and leaves. Naina watches her go, and tells Raja she got freed.
Laila tells the boys about Raja’s grandmother. They go inside to meet her. Laila signals someone to come inside. A man with covered face enters the gates.
In the hall, Vikrant asks Raaj Mata if she is really the Raaj Mata. Rekha was excited if she had an elephant, and a huge palace. Raaj Mata says there was a time it was. She says her palace was exactly the same, Raja left no stones unturned. Raja says he got the palace but could never turn it home. Laila sits there lost. He says he has decided, everyone left him but he won’t let her leave this place. Vikrant demands to hear a story. Raaj Mata narrates Rana ji and Rani Gayatri’s story, there was a time Amirkot.
Naina sits in the room when the man in disguise comes to put chloroform over her face. Raja stands up, assuring Vikrant he would be back. He says he must ask Naina about story as well. Laila replies curtly that Naina must have fallen asleep. Raaj Mata says Naina has seen much in past 12 hours, they must let her take rest.
The kidnapper holds Naina over his shoulder.
