Once there was a king 5 June 2022: Raja enters the bath and holds a towel to throw at the snake cautiously. He then holds a bucket and places it over the snake, then helps Naina get onto her wheel chair.
Laila wonders what’s in their love that poison couldn’t reach them.In the room, Raja sits beside Naina to put the medicine over her feet. Naina denies letting her husband touch her feet. Raja recalls Rani’s words. Naina says he has done a lot for her, she doesn’t want to burdenize him. Raja says she is a precious pearl, who brought him out of his shell. She freed him of his burdens, he had been suffocating in Rani’s memories. He got his breathing back and this is nothing in front of what Naina did for him. He puts the ointment on her foot. Naina wonders where the snake came from. Raja was lost in some thought, realizing who was behind this all.
He was done with medicine and holds Naina back to her bed, then lay on the floor nearby. Naina was ready to sleep on the floor. Raja says he is used to. Naina says his house is greater than palace, how is he used to it. Raja tells her to sleep silently. He weeps missing Rani.Laila comes to basement determined this time Naina won’t be safe.It was morning, Naina wakes up to find Raja disturbed of sun rays entering through the window. She plays by covering them for him for a while. Raja wakes up by a jerk, then brings medicines for her. She gets weepy about the bitter syrup as good morning, he stuffs it in her mouth.
He hands her an oil bottle his dadu got for her and tells her to put it on her feet. Naina’s feet ache by her touch. Raja was concerned and asks to put it on. He promises to keep his eyes shut as she was conscious. Laila watched this.Laila cried in her room as she joined a few wires. Nani comes to hold her hand. Laila says she can’t let Raja belong to anyone else, Nani must only do what she is asked to.In the outdoor temple, Raaj Mata tells Naina that in their family, a new bride lights a flame in temple, then pours water to tulsi. Naina lights the diya but it goes off.
Nani and Laila smirks watching this from a side. She remembers pouring water in the cotton earlier. Naina was worried as the diya doesn’t light. Mummy holds it a bad omen if it doesn’t light for a third time. Raja dips the cotton again and holds Naina’s hand to light the flame. It was finally lit. Laila goes to pour gun powder over tulsi plant. Raaj Mata takes Naina to pour water over Tulsi. Raja takes a leave. Nani joins the Pooja. Naina pours the water and the tulsi burns at once. Nani says this isn’t tulsi but the family member’s fates that burnt with it. Naina was upset.
Nani brings a few married ladies for a Pooja. Raaj Mata asks how Nani is aware of Raajputna rituals. Nani says she is also Raajputani, her daughter married an outsider and without Pooja and Pandit. She has seen her family disperse, but Naina’s wedding was also the same and she wants them to flourish in life. Raja tells Nani this isn’t needed. Raaj Mata says she herself is also worried about all these bad omens. Raja insists Naina needs rest at the moment, but Naina comes saying she will do this Pooja.
She couldn’t fulfil her mother’s dreams, but all her responsibilities as a wife. Raja leaves the table without saying a word. Raaj Mata comes to tell Naina to give Raja some time. Nani smirks towards Laila who was watching from behind the wall.Naina was ready in the room when Raja comes in. Naina says she knew well he would come for Pooja. Raja takes his gun saying he only came for this. Naina stops him asking if he is angry. Raja says he only cares for her health. Naina says she is doing this all for their good marriage. Raja allows her to do whatever she wish for, only take care of herself. Rekha comes with bindi for her.
Laila watches Naina from the door and thinks in their India, no husband cares for a wife’s life. She looks towards pliers in her hand.In the midst of Pooja where there was strong drum beating and color sprinkles, Laila drags Naina’s wheel chair silently dragging it away. Raja’s car punctures. He feels Naina’s hand over his. Laila was taking Naina away. Raaj Mata feels Naina’s absence. Laila had pushed Naina’s wheel chair which ran out of control towards the wall of well. Naina fell off. Laila goes to look for Naina fallen in well but Naina had caught the handles on walls of well. Everyone run to save Naina. Raaj Mata and Mummy comes to save her. Naina only cried. Mummy sends Rekha to get the ropes.
Raja had just entered the palace and runs towards the well hearing Naina’s scream. He bends to drag Naina upwards, pulling her with his full strength. Laila watches him bent over Naina who lay on floor, Raja threw the color on floor into her hairline. He then holds Naina to get on her wheel chair. Naina sat there with blank scared looks as Raaj Mata asks her what happened. She makes up it was so abrupt, she didn’t realize how it happened. May be the breaks of wheel chair had failed. Raja watches the wire of wheel chair had been cut.In the palace, Raja drags Laila down. She fell off, he asks if she was hurt but was lesser than Naina.
It’s because of Laila that Naina is unable to walk, she then ruined her respect, last night she left a snake into Naina’s room, but not anymore. He had promised her father to protect her from her enemies. Today, he breaks all of his promise… but Naina forbids him complete his sentence. Raja tells Naina to honestly say what Laila was about to do. She considers wheel chair event an accident. She tells Raja she had clutched the wire so strong, it broke. Raja calls Naina an idiot, and shouldn’t consider him one. Naina still denies Laila’s involvement. Raja insists the wheel chair wires had been cut off. Laila speaks from behind asking Raja if she has nothing else to do than to kill Naina. Raja shouts at Laila to stop it. Naina takes the responsibility over her carelessness. Raja shouts at her too. He warns Laila this won’t happen again. Laila was offensive.
Raja says next time, there is a single scratch over Naina’s body Laila would be held responsible.Laila comes to the room and was about to break a vase when Rani came behind her. She tells Laila she isn’t afraid of her, she lied to Raja only because she knows Laila has a clear heart. She has seen how nice Laila is. If she give her injury to fill, she would regret whatever she is doing. Laila tells Naina people are either idiots or cunning, she doesn’t regret what she has done. Naina says she would one day, she will wait but Raja won’t. Laila was about to slap Naina while she holds her hand and says she won’t break over her condition. She was neither weak, nor she will again be. She gave Laila a last chance and would never lie for her again. Laila watches Naina leave.
In the corridor, Rekha urges Naina to give it a single try. Naina was sure it would hurt, but as Rekha insists she tries to stand up. Raja comes to hold Naina up, then makes her get seated again. Rekha was at a verge of crying, as what if Naina had fallen. Raja assures Rekha he will try with Naina, then comes to stand in front of her. Naina says she doesn’t want anyone’s support, Raja qualifies he came as a companion.
Laila shows Nani a powdered table in a bottle, she says this tablet takes a person into illusionary world. A person may hurt the other person in two to four doses. She was determined to turn Laila as mentally disables. Nani was worried.
Raja gives a hand to Naina.
She looks helpless, Raja says they can’t cease to move on with the fear of falling. He holds Naina’s foot and places them over his shoes and drags her to stand close to him and slowly dances with her. Her feet ache. Naina gets into an illusion of dancing with Raja. As her day dream breaks she doesn’t find Raja around. Raja smiles at her from a corner, then walks towards her posing as if to fell down. Naina stands up out of worry. Raja asks her to come to him, she takes some small steps and was about to fell off. Raja holds her again, assuring he would always be there with her.
On the dinner table, Nani watches Raja feeding a bite to Vikrant. He was afraid to see her. Raja tells Naina not to place the color of their worries onto children’s heart. Nani silently joins them. Naina asks about Laila. There, Laila comes to Raja’s room, Lotus sat outside his room. Nani says Laila would eat in her room, Raja looks upstairs wondering why the lights of the room are off. Raja goes to check for Laila. Laila comes to the boy securing Raja’s room, and tells him to kill the spider in Vikrant’s room. The boys goes to check. Laila enters Raja’s room and replaces Naina’s medicine bottle with hers. The boy returns bringing a spider in his hand.
Laila thanks him and leaves. Raja watches Laila drinking water in the corridor, and finds everything in place. He comes to the boy and asks if everything is fine? The boy replies positively. Laila thinks Raja and Naina would never be able to reach her tricks.In the room, Raja asks Naina if she took her medicines and asks why she always wait for him for her medicines. Naina thinks she wouldn’t have been able to speak to him daily otherwise. Laila watches Raja stuff the medicine into Naina’s mouth. Naina has a dream about Vijay at night, she wakes up screaming. Raja comes to her while she kept on screaming. Raja even slaps Naina but she only cried. Raja tries to wake her up, saying its Raja.
He is with her, no one can hurt her. Naina comes to realization and lay down. Raja lay down besides her on bed. Naina clutches his hand while sleeping, Raja holds it back. She then moves to his chest. Naina says I love you Raja, he says I love you Rani. Naina wakes up, then turns around crying. Raja turns the lights off and leaves.Mummy puts on sindoor into Naina’s hairline. Tears fell off Naina’s eyes, she shares with her mother that he doesn’t love. He still had to marry her, only because of her paralyses. Mummy tells Naina they had to meet through fates, it’s now her duty to come up to all the responsibilities of being a wife. She will surely get her right as well. Mummy gives Naina her medicine.
Laila and Nani watch Naina take her dose. Mummy tells Naina to cook for Raja later. Laila was sure Raja’s love for Naina would fade soon. She tells Nani this medicine would bring Naina’s fears in front of her, she would consider everyone as thirsty for her blood.In the kitchen, Naina sprinkles nets over the halwa and was excited. She wish Raja likes her cooking. She soon begin to visualize media personals in front of her and shouts at them to get away from her. Raja was coming downstairs and hears Naina’s shouts. Raja comes to her asking what happened to her, Naina watches a masked kidnapper in Raja and withdraws herself from him, pushing him to leave.
She had held a knife that Raja also clutches. The blood beads fell over her hairline. Raja throws a jug full of water onto her face. Rani realizes it was Raja. Raja comes to sit beside Naina, blood beads had moved down onto her face. She comes to a state of realization and was concerned about hurting his hands. She now cries badly. Raja tells Naina to look at him and asks if she recognizes him? She cries for hurting Raja. Raja hugs Naina closely. Laila was curt. Raja assures Naina they are both fine, Naina says she would die if something happens to Raja.
Raja shares about Naina’s condition with Raaj Mata. He says Vijay has badly hurt Naina, the accident didn’t leave Naina’s memories. Raaj Mata suggests him to take Naina somewhere for an outing. Raja was ready. Laila thinks this travel is going to be their last.The next morning, Naina sat lost in thoughts and only replied meagerly. Raja races the car and asks Naina if its too rash. She doesn’t respond. He stops the car with a jerk and asks if he is a donkey? He isn’t as bad she doesn’t speak to him. Naina was afraid what if she attacks him again, he shouldn’t have stake his life by staying alone with her, and she doesn’t remember why she was hitting him.
Raja asks Naina if she is being a goon she was offensive. Raja tells Naina she can’t hurt him anyway, and boasts of being a Don himself. His hand aches. Naina smiles at this. Raja plays music, and confirms if Naina likes this?Laila was riding a boat in the lake, she calls the kids to come as their mother is waiting for them. She throws fish into water, crocodiles appear from under the lake. Raja and Rani arrive beside a late. Naina looks into Raja’s eyes, as he carries her into her arms. Naina thanks Raja as she is really happy today, she won’t complain even if she loses her life today. Raja says they are here for a vacation, she must not even think about it again. They walk into a boat.
Raja was shocked to hear Vikrant’s cries from behind. He leaves Naina into a boat. Laila watches him move towards the voice, while it was only a recording. Laila recalls recording them by making Vikrant afraid of a cockroach. She then pulls the rope of Naina’s boat.At home, Vikrant runs deterring to tell everything to Raja. Raaj Mata and Naina’s mummy comes to hold her as Vikrant fell down and hurt his head.
Naina’s boat begin to float deep into the lakes. Raja was following the voice. Naina was afraid and looks around to see Laila riding her boat towards Naina’s. She calls Raja.Raja finds the recording tape playing Vikrant’s voice, he recognizes the fear.
Laila makes a hole into Naina’s boat while Naina pleads Laila to spare her life.
Laila takes Naina’s attention towards the crocodiles moving towards their boats under water. Naina was afraid, while water slowly seeped into her boat and crocodiles moved closer. Naina faints inside the boat out of fear. Raja runs towards Naina. Laila was afraid watching him there.
