Aarti ji.. i cant take it anymore.. 1 word or anything that hurts you, i wanna take it away from your life.. letz go Aarti ji… we cant be here.. we have to take the kids from school also…Aarti looks crying at Gayatri and goes behind Yash…All cry except Akash, ishita and Gayatri…Yash stops and says.. letz go badi maa.. u will also come with us..Akash looks shocked…Yash, Aarti and Radha leave…Papa S looks down crying…Aarti comes in their room and cries by the photo..kyu mai jagoon in background..Aarti takes the photo…Radha comes there and places her hand on Aarti’s shoulder crying.. Aarti hugs her…Just then Yash come with Palak and Ansh..
Aarti hugs Palak..Yash goes forward and holds Aarti..They come out of the room to leave the house walking in the corridor..Yash remembers Gayatri throwing water on Aarti…Aarti cries looking at her hand prints on the wall and remembers how she came into the house…Yash keeps her hand on Aarti’s shoulder.. Yash moves forward with Ansh..All are sitting in living room…Akash is pacing here and there…Yash and Aarti come with the kids..Pankaj holds Yash’s hands and Yash pats it back and moves forward…Pratik comes forward and ruffles Ansh’s hair … and Yash and Pratik hug…
Ansh says.. where are v going Papa?Palak says..we are going for holiday.. dada dadi is sending us…Ansh asks Yash.. really Papa…Yash says.. no.. we are going to our new house..Ansh says.. where Papa..Yash says.. dont know.. we’ll have to find one..Ansh says.. but why.. our house is so nice.. i wont go anywhere.. i wanna live with all.. dada dadi .. chachu chachi.. i wont live alone life before..Palak says.. not even me..Pratik says.. yes beta.. we will be together.. i wont let your people go.. Yash bhaiya has made too many decisions…Pankaj says.. yes.. Yash u wont go..Yash says.. but i have made the decision..Pankaj says.. but decisions can be changed.. u will leave us for such a small thing…
Yash pats Pankaj’s shoulder and AarYa move ahead to take Gayatri’s blessings.. they bend down touching Gayatri’s feet.. Gayatri with difficulty raises her hand but doesnt put on their head..Yash turns away when Gayatri says.. Yash.. its summers.. kids are also with you.. dont know where all u will go to find house.. take care..Yash cries and says.. yes maa.. we will take care.. u have given this much strength to your son that he can take care of himself and his kids but my strength would have risen if u wud have asked to stop..
Yash turns and holds Ansh’s hands.. Ansh breaks free and goes to Gayatri… Dadi, ask Papa to stop nah.. please stop him.. u r angry with me na that i called Akash chachu as ramdulare uncle.. i am sorry plzz stop Papa..Palak also hugs Gayatri and asks her to stop Yash..Aarti comes forward and breaks free Ansh and Palak and tries to take them away crying…kids keep chanting asking Gayatri to stop yash and Aarti..Yash takes Palak in his lap when Papa S stops him..Palak runs and goes to Papa S and says.. thank you dadaji.. i want to live here only..Papa S gets up and says.. u wont go anywhere..
Papa S says.. why will u go.. this is your house.. u have your right on this house..u are the owner of this house.. the person who has no right on this house will go.. whatever happened today and all that has been happening in the house, seeing that i have decided that m giving this house, all my peoperty to Yash and no one will question on that and no one else has the right on it..Pankaj and Pratik smileGayatri says.. how can u do that? how can u give all the property to Yash.. this house has 3 kids.. all the property should be equally given to the 3.. i wont let this partiality..
Papa S says.. i would have heard you if u wud have said that this house has 4 kids and not 3.. u say i am doing partiality.. u have lost all right and wrong in your motherhood.. hear it all..Gayatri says.. i wont take this..Papa S says.. u will hear me.. and listen to me now..Yash says … please dont do this.. i dont want anything..Papa S says.. u dont but i want to give you this responsibility… and now no one will question this..come with me Yash and bahu, u also come..Akash says to Gayatri.. hold ur husband .. or blood will drip here..Gayatri gets worried..
Papa S says.. these are the property papers.. from today. everything mine is yours.. i’ll talk to the lawyer tomorrow…Yash says.. no Bauji.. i cant take this.. on your property, Pankaj bhaiya, Pratik and Akash have rights .. not me.. i cant take the rights of my brothers..Papa S says.. i know what u can do and what u cant.. thats why m giving u this huge responsibility.. it will be safe with you.. you wont do any partiality with anyone.. i hope how much i trust you , you trust your Bauji’s decision.. u have seen how much hard work i have done for this, and how much u have worked to get business on these heights.. it will be safe with you.. take this..
Yash says.. no bauji.. whatever Akash had to get, i got it. unknowingly.. i have done wrong to Akash..Papa S says.. no.. u havent done anything wrong.. it was destiny.. n yes my mistake..yash looks at Papa S.Suraj says that yash was the one who tried to get akash into the family, when everyone else wasnt so sure of it. He says that the only mistake was that he considered yash just like himself, but he couldnt appreciate the effort and drowned in ego, and if this continues, and akash neither understands the value of relations nor money, he would ruin this family. He cites an example from the ramayana, saying that if his ram, YASH, goes, then there’s no bharat, for him, to leave his business to.
He says that he’ asking for a favour when he asks them to stay back, as he doesnt believe in anyone other than yash, not even gayatri, as he has seen her carelessness and immaturity and cant be sure of her descisions. He extends the property papers and asks him to take them. When he doesnt, suraj gets into a rage. Suraj, angry that yash isnt taking up on his proposition, says that he might go along with arti and the kids, but he would do that over his dead body. Saying so, he loads and puts a pistol on his forehead, and threatens that he would shoot himself. This shocks yash and arti out of their wits. Yash stops him saying that they wont go, as nothing is dearer than his life, and hugs suraj. Arti too breaks down seeing this.
Gayatri, is pleading to the Lord, in the temple, saying that this isnt right whats happeneing, as the right that akash was craving for so many years, is being denied to him, and even her husband doesnt stand by her in her descisions, that she has taken as a mother to give his rights to his son. Akash ridicules her saying that the Lord wont do anything,as he neever has, and gets into a rage saying that he wont let anyone take his rights from himself.
As yash and arti come out of suraj’s room, Akash angrily says that suraj has gone mad. yash shouts out saying that he wont tolerate talking about his father like that. akash asks him not to shout just because he has the entire property on his name now. Akash hits him with a belt, yash takes the first blow, but stops the second one. arti is shocked, and akash reminds yash of the swearing that he had taken in front of gayatri. He lest go of yash’s hand. Akash says that he would take revenge for all that he has encroached that was rightfully akash’s. He lashes out at yash incoherently, saying that he would show what comes of being suraj’s ideal son. Arti tries to stop him, but when she couldnt, she goes to get help from his brothers.
Finding noone, she stops akash herself, holding on to the belt, saying that yash might be under swearing, but not her, as someone has to start to teach him a lesson. She slaps, and in turn is thrown by akash, with a push towards yash. Yash doesnt bear this, and they get into a fistfight, with yash forgetting his swear, unable to tolerate that he raised his hand on arti. Yash gets into a rage. All other family members try to stop them. Suraj is surprised too to see this. gayatri continues interfereing, latching on to yash, to let go of akash, and gives each of them swears, but akash ridicules her saying that he isnt yash, who would melt down hearing her words.
She is shoked to hear this from akash. He pushes gayatri away, due to which her leg slips, and she falls into the pool, and hits her head on the pot, kept nearby. Her head starts bleeding and she goes unconscious. Suraj and the entire family are shell shocked to see this, and scream out in horror. Yash and others rush her to the hospital.
Scene 2:
Location: In the hospital
After the doctor examines, and the family asks about gayatri, he tells them, that she is in a critical condition, and they would have to operate on her immediately. He asks them not to interfere in their procedure, and to silently wait outside and cooperate with them. Suraj sits outside in introspection, the other family members too dumbstruck. Arti comes out and finds them like this, and is apalled. The operation begins.
Bua says that brothers fighting got gayatri into the hospital. She laments gayatri’s fate, having had four sons, and still having to see this. Akash accuses buaji, of being pleasing to the ears, but actually very vicious in thoughts. He says that its true that gayatri’s condition is to be blamed on her illegitimate son, yash. Yash asks him to keep care that they are in the hospital. Akash says that he would shout to everyone, that yash, step son and illegitimate is responsible for this. Yash threatens him to stop, but when he doesnt in his ego, and defiance asks what would yash do if he doesnt shut up, yash gives a tight slap to akash. Yash says that one who doesnt understand the relation between mnother and son, or anyother relation, he doesnt get the right to accuse someone else. He leaves having silenced akash, for the moment, who too leaves from there.
while the operation continues, yash and arti pray in the temple for her safety, as they wont be able to live without her, and that they are asking for just this one thing. Arti too prays that they cant replace gayatri with anyone else, hence the Lord Ganesha should get gayatri better asap.Akash, along with ishita fumes thinking about yash’s slap. Ishita instigates him saying that he has a poorer fate than her in this case too, as he had been craving for father’s name all these years, and now that he got it, suraj gave away evereything to yash, and not him. She tells him that the property is in yash’s name, and his brothers too support him, and suraj didnt even consider him as his son.
She says that only gayatri was the one who stood by him, and with her condition worsening, his is too. Akash asks her to leave instead of irritating him all the more. She tells him that gayatri might be able to give him what she couldnt earlier. akash asks her to talk straight. she tells him her plan, and akash hearing intently leaves, while ishita sits victorious.Arti, who comes and tells yash that her operation has been done, while yash is distributing things to the poor, so that their blessings can cure gayatri, is apalled when yash assumes that gayatri must be alright and would ask him soon to be taken back to the house. Yash is however sileneced when he sees arti’s sad face. Arti tells him that gayarti is critical and under observation for the next 24 hours.
Arti asks yash to compose himself, who says that he would break if anything happens to her. Arti assures that the lord’s blessings and their prayers are with her, and gayatri would be fine in no time.Akash forcibly enters the ward, despite the nurse telling him that he shouldnt disturb her right now. He goes to her and tries to wake her out of her sleep, so that he can talk his business with her, but when she doesnt listen, he takes off her oxygen mask, and when she gasps fr breath, he starts talking to her and trying to get her attention. He goes on a rant about how injustice has been meted out to her, and gayatri looks on disbelievingly that akash, her son, is concerned about the property at the time, when she might even die. He keeps ranting her to help him in his evil motives.
He says that he has filed a report against yash for pushing gayatri into the pool, and asks her to verify this statement when the police comes so that yash can go behind bars, and he can get his rightful property back, all the time saying that he is her true son, and not yash, who is illegitimate. Gayatri’s critical condition doesnt deter him from talking about his self interest. Even when she starts sinking, he is selfishly talking about just himself. Yash comes in and asks him to let go of her hand, as she’s not well. Yash tells akash, that he would give him anything that he wants, he just wants his mother back, as he looks at gayatri, lying unconscious on the bed. He asks how to believe yash, and asks him to go get the papers, that suraj signed on to his name. Akash, accuses him of being a bad businessman, for trading off the entire property to take his mother, which is for a loss.
Yash doesnt reply this question, which for him doesnt even deserve one. He says that this business is beyond akash to understand. Arti says that in relations, numbers dont matter, only feelings do, and hopes that he too understands it some day. yash says that he just wants their mother to get better. Akash tells gayatri not to fall trap to yash and arti’s goody act, saying that he would be with her, as he’s the real son, and yash cant guarantee that.Outside the ward, as the police demands for gayatri’s statement, Pankaj and prateik are very curious as to who filed the report for the murder attempt on gayatri. They doubt bua, but she vehemently denies anything to do with it. the inspector says that they dont know who filed the report, as he didnt tell his name.
Inside the ward, Akash tells gayatri that the police have arrived. Ishita is viciously taking amusement at the entire drama.When the inspector comes in and tells yash what he has come for, yash tries to clarify that it was an accident and not intentional. But the police maintain that they would hear of the truth from gayatri herself. The inspector asks gayatri what had happened, and if anyone had intentionally tried to throw him into the pool. she finally manages to say that nobody threw her and that she slipped into the pool. akash goes berserk at that, and asks her to say what he told her to do. But gayatri says that she’s given her statement. After the police goes, yash holds gayatri’s hand and she manages to say that she has done a huge injustice to yash already, by depriving him of love and affection, and has hurt him a lot.
She says that she has sinned and that she was wrong, and that now she knows that yash is her son in the real sense, calling her KALYUG KA SHRAVAN, as he has always done his duty as a son, whereas he faltered as a mother. all get emotional to hear this.She turns to suraj saying that he was right in saying that she was blinded by her motherly love and apologizes that she didnt listen to him for the first time in her life. She says that she doesnt want to humiliate yash and arti by apologizing to them and that she has to thank someone before that. She starts gasping for breath, sending the entire family into shock at her condition. Pankaj rushes to get the doctor. suraj asks her to be quiet. But she says that she wont listen to him one last time, and asks him to let her speak. She calls out radha.
Gayatri calls out to radha, much to everyone’s surprise, in her feeble voice. radha comes upto her. Gayatri says that she’s thnakful to her, that she gave her priceless gem in her lap. She says that god might have done injustice to her, but she justified evereything. Radha says that this is her nobility that she is terming her mistake as justice. she says that she doesnt even deserve an apology from her, as she has given excellent upbringing to yash, which she couldnt to akash. gayatri says that a mother never gives a bad upbringing to her child, and its just that all children are not equally good. she asks yash if he is her son. When he nods, gayatri says that her mother is very immature. she again gasps out for breath, scaring them. She says that she spoiled everything by her mistake.
She asks yash if he would rectify her mistake. when he says yes again, she says that she wants something from him for the last time. Yash says that just like everytime, this time too, things would work out.Gayatri calls out to arti, who hurries upt her. she tells arti that she did much wrong with her too, but she always respected gayatri. Arti is crying incoherently. she says that a daughter in law like arti, only comes in the destiny of fortunate people. arti says that it is she who is fortunate, and asks her to be quiet, and get well soon, as all her daughter in laws, need her desperately and wants her blessings.
Gayatri blesses her to be happy, and asks her to atke care of yash always, and be with him forever. saying so, she starts sinking. All are horrified. Yash holds gayatri’s hand, while suraj asks her not to talk again, and take care of herself. Gayatri keeps asking yash not to go leaving her alone. While she keeps ranting this, she takes her last breath in yash’s arms. The whole family breaks down seeing her demise. they start crying incoherently. Yash is beyond any consolation.
Scene 2:
Location: Yash’s residence.
Before taking gayatri’s body for the final rites, she is kept in the hall for final visits, while the people are busy preparing for the rituals that are to follow. akash stands in a corner, grumpy faced. People console suraj, as fate cant be undone, and that after gayatri, now its his responsibility to hold the family together. All her sons are crying, while suraj sits as if turned into stone. Yash rememebers gayatri’s words of affection to him. Her sons dress her up as a bride, as she is being prepared to be taken for her final journey to the cremation ground. arti remembers gayatri’s last words to her.
The pandit says that gayatri was very fortunate that she died, while being married. He asks suraj, to drape her in a red dupatta. When suraj is unable to take it, his sons help him in doing so. All the ladies are apalled to see his condition. suraj sits beside gayatri, stone faced, unable to soak in the reality of her having gone. After much difficulty of bringing himself to terms with it, he is unable to drape the dupatta on her, given to him by yash. He is helped by arti and vidhi in doing so. His sons help suraj, to take in the earthen pot, while the pandit asks for her sons to help carry her on their shoulders. As yash, prateik and pankaj get ready to do so, akash asks the pandit if the only responsibility of a son, is to give shoulder to his mother’s last journey, or he doesnt have the right to their property.
Pankaj tries to tell him that this isnt the righ time for discussing this. Akash arrogantly tells him not to lecture. akash says that they need 4 people for carrying gayatri. As suraj is in capable already, he asks them if they would ask for a stranger to give support to gayatri. He says that he wont give his shoulder to gayatri’s journey, till he gets his right over the family’s properties. He says that gayatri didnt do anything while she was alive, let her do something by dying. Yash comes back with papers giving akash his share, saying that it already exceeds his expectations. as akash happily bends to lend support to gayatri, yash stops him saying that he may got the share, but he has lost out on the right to give support top gayatri’s carriage. He says that they dont need him to give support, and asks him to leave, saying that he should try and find gayatri’s love in theses papers, if he ever really realises her loss. Yash carries both the front arms on his shoulders and walks out for gayatri’s final procession.
arti comes and retorts akash saying that he might have got crores of property, but he has never seen a poorer son, and that for thses papers, he lost out on the right to give support. She says that he has always placed money over relations, and that she wopuld see how much happiness this wealth brings. she says that when he realises the truth, it would be too late, and he would be all alone. She wipes her tears and goes from there. all the ladies leave.
A MONTH PASSES BY.
The ladies are working in the kitchen, and vidhi accidentally spills out gayatri’s name as if she’s still alive. They lament that they still havent been able to forget her, and she still isan integral part of their lives. Vidhi comments that much has changed since she’s gone. Pari too agrees saying that with akash, in the house, everyone has to tread cautiously and that with akash, they can expect any kind of drama anytime.
Vidhi and pari amuse themselves, as arti expresses her discomfort at her increased size, with her pregnancy being at a advanced stage now, and begin to tease arti about her pregnancy, and that yash, as a typical husband will start ignoring her now. Arti vehemently denies that yash isnt like that. They tease her at that too. they ask her to go to the room, and arti says that she gets bored there. They tease her again saying that they can send yash if she wants. Finally they send off yash to rest. Vidhi asks pari to give breakfast to vidhi. When pari hesitates, she tells vidhi to take it herself, and that she would handle the kicthen. She reminds vidhi of suraj’s mood swings, and that she doesnt want to take a risk.
Yash is sitting quietly in his room, when arti walks in, and sees that he’s working on the laptop. She starts fidgeting around, and tries to engage him in conversation, but he keep giving a curt, one syllable response to her talks. She gets increasingly fidgety, and again tries to talk asking is she should open the window, that is already open. when yash again says, Hmmmm, she gets irritated. arti keeps making faces, but in vain, and thinks that vidhi and pari were right is saying that yash wont pay attention to her now, as she’s grown fatso. Arti keeps pretending to have cramps, to get yash’s attention. finally yash comes in and teases her, with her being irritated as it is. She begins to leave, but he holds her hand and stops her. He comes uptp her and says that she is very beautiful and takes her carefully to the mirror, but then forgetting about her, he starts looking at himself. when she sees her angry, he mends hi ways, and refocusses his attention on her.
She says that he’s lying as she has been trying to talk, and he keeps saying Hmm, and now he’s trying to please her by calling her beautiful, when he wasnt even paying attention. He says that he noticed every detail of hers, ad starts reiterating everything that she did. Arti asks if he was watching her stealthily, h says yes adding that he loves to catch her in her moods unawares, and he finds her very beautiful, and she isnt like other husbands who dont pay attention to their wives. He says that she still looks very lovely, even with the baby bump.
while suraj, sits nonchalantly, staring into vacant space, vidhi comes to give him breakfast, and asks if she should give him food here only, or will he take with everyone else. He doesnt say anything. Vidhi also gives him his medicines. finding the room hot, she tries to switch on the AC, but due to some problem with it, the remote doesnt work. A frustrated suraj, throws off the remote at the walls, scolding vidhi as to why doesnt she know that the cells of the remote have gone weak. While all are busy in their own work, a sudden crashing voice from gayatri’s room, startles everyone. Pari comments that this is why she didnt want to go. Suraj scolds vidhi terribly saying that nothing is at its proper place, and if now he has to spill everything out for everything. He gets into a modd swing, saying that he still earns and is not helpless, and that aftre 30 years, he still has to tell what he needs. When aysh tries to talk to him, suraj reminds him that he’s his son, and that he shouldnt try to be his father.
He asks everyone to get out of his room. As vidhi and arti stay back to pick up the broken pieces, and food thats scattered around, he rudely summons them out of the room too.Pari comments that he used to get angry earlier too, but now hios temp0er is beyond control. Buaji laments that when gayatri was alive, suraj’s needs were always taken care of, and he never had to spell it out. She asks buaji if she’s trying to accuse them of being careless in taking care of suraj. She says that pari misunderstood her adding that they are trying their level; best, but now that vidhi’s daughter is back, and arti is pregnant, only pari cant handle everything.She says that one might try anyhow, but none can replace a wife, pointing at yash. arti says that suraj was never like this, and that they would definitely have to do somthing to get suraj out of his teemper tantrums.
Ishita sits on the other side, listening to them. Akash comes in and rudely tells her that he’s feeling angry and that the yash’s family’s time is over in the kitchen and their starts. He summons her to go and make food for him. when ishita walks in from yash’s side of the house.Akash scolds ishita, for trying to get into the other part of the house, that he doesnt have a share in, and reminds that her entire world is where he lives, and that she should never try and cross that boundary. Yash and his family too see.
