Marriage for Duty on Zeeworld focuses on the lives of Reet Chaudhary and Raghav Suryavanshi, who are bound together by the custom of aata saata marriage- A bridal exchange between families.
While Reet is an outspoken journalist, Raghav is a strict businessman who is not fully attune to the marriage set-up from the get-go. However Reet, bound by family and honour has to stick around to try to make the marriage work…
In the show, bua keeps on hatching conspiracies against Raghav and Reet but never gets exposed in front of Raghav. Reet is treated as just another ‘servant’ in the household.
