Cacau Telemundo series portrays the life of Cacau, a 22-year-old girl, beautiful, fearless and irreverent. She lives on a farm, where her Portuguese parents, Joaquim and Filomena, who started out as caretakers, are the trusted people, put in charge the plantation.
The wealthy owner Justino Vaz Pereira, also Portuguese, who is currently aged by illness, follows the business from a distance.
Cacau, together with her companions and best friends, Pitty and Guto, help her with her ideas so that Brazil can experience the best chocolate, the spicy chocolate from Itacaré.
Cacau works in the chocolate factory on the property, but whenever she can, she takes advantage of her free time to get lost in the warm sea of Bahia, where she loves to surf.
She is a talented chocolate maker and her biggest dream is to one day get an international diploma in Pastry and Chocolate Arts, even though she knows that this is impossible for her: the course is very expensive and her family doesn’t have the money for it.

However, everything changes when her father breaks a pact from the past and reveals his true identity, leading Justino (the owner) to discover that he had a daughter with another woman, Chiquinha.
It turns out that Filó, who was pregnant at the same time as Chiquinha, lost her daughter the same week that Cacau was born, and this caused Quim’s plans to change. With the baby in his arms, ready to be handed over to the Americans on the same day that his daughter is stillborn, Quim changes his mind and, to compensate for the couple’s pain, takes Cacau home, so that she can take the place of the daughter who should be there.
Filó, despite being against Chiquinha’s relationship with her married boss, and even more against that illegitimate child, cannot resist the temptation of having a baby to raise as her own.
The revelation triggers a series of intrigues and conflicts, which put the family’s wealth at r isk, as Cacau becomes a threat to Justino’s other heiress. Justino’s wife, Simone, is willing to do anything to prevent her daughter, Sal, from sharing her fortune with an illegitimate daughter.
Confused by the argument, they suffer an accident after a bicycle, apparently out of control, crosses in front of them. The car skids and Justino ends up thrown before the vehicle violently crashes into a tree. The two end up in intensive care after Tiago, 27, who was riding the bicycle and inadvertently caused the accident, calls 112.
However, with remorse, Tiago begins to visit the couple and it is there that he hears that Simone and her daughter want to end the life of Justino’s illegitimate daughter.
When Tiago first heard the conversation about Justino’s supposed illegitimate daughter and those people’s plans to kill her, he thought he had misunderstood. Seeing Simone getting better and Justino getting worse, and realizing that those people were serious, he began to feel a pang of conscience about the possibility of a young woman dying because he had ignored what he had heard. How could he pretend he didn’t know that an attack was being planned against an innocent young woman right under his eyes?
Saving her would be a way of making up for the state he had left Justino in. But how? What could he do from a distance? And that’s when he decided to get on a plane and head to Brazil.
Cacau will live a great love story with Tiago. Tiago and Cacau know each other before they know who each other is. In fact, they start by teasing each other before falling madly in love. Just like Sal, who despite being married to Rui is enchanted by this man at first sight, only realizing later why: he is the same boy she had a crush on as a teenager, the son of Dr. Salomão, whom she lost sight of for years after he gave her what she still considers to be the biggest mistake of her life, right after he made her lose her virginity to him.
Cacau is challenged to help Tiago find Justino’s lost daughter, without knowing that she is looking for herself, at the same time that a professional killer hired by Sal and Rui is on her trail to end her life.
Quim, upon realizing that it was his revelation to Justino that caused the accident, is afraid that this will backfire on Cacau after finding out about Débora and Sal’s plan (because of Tiago’s appearance) and will do everything to cover up the trail of his “daughter’s” true past. Anita, Cacau’s sister, upon discovering that she is Justino’s real daughter, and more jealous than ever of her supposed sister (not only did she have the love of her biological father, but she could also inherit Justino’s fortune), sees the information as a chance to do well in life and settle scores with Cacau, with whom she has always competed because of her father.
The question still remains as to where Chiquinha, Cacau’s biological mother, is. Nobody knows where she is and she is completely unaware that her daughter has never left the place where she was conceived. What will she do if someone comes to her and tells her that Quim has deceived her or that her daughter’s life is in danger? Will she want to find her daughter again and protect her? Will she want to punish Quim?
Justino, in a coma, remains oblivious to everything, namely the witch hunt that has been launched against Cacau, and even more so to the coup that the gang around him is preparing to deal him. What will happen if everyone is successful and one day he wakes up and realizes that he has nothing?
Enjoy Cacau on Telemundo for a long ride of 252 episodes, everyday by 9pm.
