Our perfect place 7 April 2020: Inder talks to his son in London reminding him that today is his mother’s birthday and he should call up atleast to wish him. citing that he is busy, he abruptly cancels the call. inder stands tensed. Later, he starts surfing through his bag vigorously, and calms down when he finds some capsules.
<<Our perfect place 6 April 2020 update
Ila comes and starts packing stuff that she needs, when rita says that she gave gayatri what she thought she should yesterday, but didnt know what else. rita apologises for not being able to tell her yesterday, and says that it got so hectic yesterday, that she was in a dilemma whether she should tell her or not. ila says that its okay, as she wouldnt have made a difference, but still its her right. rita says that they merely didnt want to disturb her, and now that she isnt here, she cant ask her for every small decision. ila says that she went for 4 days only, and that she isnt asking for her account. rita asks how did they benefit without even telling her, and that they all did it for her, and starts talking agitatedly. she starts saying that she vented out only because she was sad, and asks why is she talking to her like that. rita asks if only she is sad as others can be too. she walks off. ila is shocked.
Later, gayatri tries to calm rita down, saying that ila is like that and she doesnt care to take it on. rita says that they are related way back, but she has newly formed a relationship with her, and this happened. gayatri says that it would sort out soon. rita says that she is angry at herself for the way she spoke to ila. she says that rita never does it, as she is always jovial. rita gets tensed. gayatri finds that she is resisting to discuss something thats bothering her. she asks. rita says that a friend of hers, saw niranjan with a girl in the mall. gayatri says that it could have been a friend. rita says that it could have been, but whenever soemthing like this happens, she is reminded of maya. she says that they swore yesterday that they would never bring it up, but today she cant see anything other than that. gayatri asks her not to let doubt spoil their relation, and asks her to think positive. she says that till the time, she doesnt need to, she can think positive. rita is tensed.
As ila is ready to go, sameer, niranjan and rahul come. she gets emotional seeing rahul. they both hug each other, emotionally, teary eyed. after cheering her up, he makes them all sit down. gayatri comes and asks about his health and then serves them water. he tells that all results show that there is nothing alarming, and that there is a minor infection in liver, which shall cure soon. she taunts him on his drinking. rahul starts joking again. ila gets angry. gayatri decides to take leave, and ila gets going too, asking rahul to take care of himself. she then remembers something and excuses herself for a minute. niranjan asks rahul to come along, so that he can explain the meds, after which he shall rest. MEanwhile, ila comes to rita in the room, and both tensedly eye each other. ila tries to talk, but rita takes the blame and apologises. ila caresses her face and then comments that one’s fault, doesnt lead to what happened, and she is at fault too for misspeaking, and adds that after so many years of marriage, she has had a fight with govardhan, and doesnt know who’s at fault. she says that the truth is she is diturbed and angry too at herself, and thats coming out on all of them. rita gets emotional hearing this, and says that even if she gets angry unnecessarily at times, they shouldnt react as she is so elder and loves them so much. she caresses her and then says that she is leaving with gayatri. ila leaves, while rita eyes her smiling. she sits down and starts thinking, when she suddenly gets a phone call, but finds that its niranjan’s phone ringing, and picks it up and finds that its Maya looking for niranjan. she is shocked, and collapses on the bed, distraught and apalled.
Scene 3:
Location: Parimal’s residence
ila comes back home. after sometime, inder returns back. ila is happy to see inder, and asks how was his meeting. he says that its wonderful, and gets a mobile as a gift for ila. she asks why he needs that. he says that she doesnt have one. she says that she doesnt need one. ila tells him that as it is, she cant accept such an expensive gift from him, after she knows about his business losses. he says that he knew she would say something like that and brought a solution along. He brings out a rakhi for her, seeing which she is shocked. sh gets emotional and asks whats the matter. he says that its been long since this happened, and was pained everytime he looked at his lonely hand. she talks about her torment too. they decide to celebrate rakhi today only. she goes and gets the puja thali ready and as she does the rituals, they both get teary eyed, eyeing each other. she asks him not to cry, as its a festival and caressing his face kisses him on the forehead and blesses him galore. he then gives the same mobile phone as a gift. she smilingly accepts it.
Scene 4:
Location: Gharaunda
Rita is enraged as she remembers niranjan’s promises regarding maya. when he comes back, she starts bursting with rage, while he has no clue whats going on. he starts talking to her about rahul, while she gets up furious and crying too. he asks what happened. As rita gets berserk, throwing around pillows and bed sheets, niranjan asks whats the matter. she frustratedly tells what happened, and reminds him of the innumerable promises she made. nirajan says that he has no clue why maya called, in so many years and not even how she got his number. she asks him why is he doing this, while he begs her to believe. she asks how can she, as she did try ernestly. she says that she had the belief that he wont lie again. he tries to cajole her into trying to understand, as he is turning over a new leaf for the first time, and she is responsible for that, and asks why is she putting this all at stake. she says that noone would understand this, and wonders what shall she do now. she says that anyhow, she tried to calm herself down, but she cant live with the belief that her doubts were right. rita says that this time, her doubts are confirmed and asks how would she live now, and then asks if she never thought of their little daughters once even. he is boggled and tensed himself. she breaks down. then she gets a call, and finds that its from the same number, and asks him to pick it up, and storms out.
Gayatri comes to ila, and teases her about the phone. ila is seemingly very happy. while they start talking about inder, ila turns the topic, and turns it towards her decision to be here even if parimal leaves for promotion to pune which is wrong, as she has to be with her husband and think about him.
gayatri says that she cant stay away from her. ila says that woman is made to be sacrificial, and its worth the love and care. gayatri remembers that she has to get parimal’s stuff ready for office. as she leaves for the kitchen, inder and parimal come from outside for jogging. they start talking about banks, while inder tries to talk him into getting him a loan, on controversial factory, only at the point of the property papers. parimal points out that its against the rules. inder asks him to be flexible. parimal gets angry and asks if he wants him to do fraud. parimal asks him if he even realises the implications of this, and that he wouldnt do it at any cost. inder says that he merely thought he would help him out as family. parimal says that he wants help in stealing which he wont do. parimal walks in, while inder is enraged. As parimal walks in the room, he tells gayatri about what happened. he asks how could he even think that, she says that he must have thought that family helps each other out in times of trouble.
Parimal says that inder too said the same, and then teases her, and she gets fired up. he plays with her for sometime, and then he starts talking about how inder’s behaviour has been weird and suspicious as he is always guarded. parimal asks if a grown up man goes to amusement park, and that inder is definitely hiding something, but god knows what and why. inder hears all this outside and gets tensed.
Parimal is leaving for office when gayatri talks about how bad ila would feel that inder is upto fraud. he complies, and begs her to stop thinking whether she should tell or not, and uses not telling rahul’s health to ila, as a refernce and how she had reacted. Meanwhile, inder comes to ila’s room, very disturbed and upset, saying that he would search for some more time. he starts crying. she asks him not to lose hope as some way would work out. he is at loss of options. he talks about parimal’s behaviour when he demanded a loan. she is aghast that parimal behaved like this. he goes into self guilt mode, and says that parimal isnt to be blamed, and begs her not to say anything to parimal, as he would feel he complained to her, and he doesnt want their relations to be strained.
He walks out, and finds parimal going too. as parimal is about to go out, when ila hollers for him. he goes in. she reprimands him, while he asks why did he scold him, and if she knows that. he then clarifies everything, while she is shocked that inder could do this to her. she asks if he heard correctly, and if there was a misunderstanding. he denies. she talks about how he resorts to everything for money. he complies, and says that they know about this now, and god knows whats in store. he leaves for office. she is highly tensed.
Later, ila and gayatri discuss as to how inder tried to be manipulative and wonders what to make of it. gayatri asks her to confront him directly. ila says that she shall know only what he says. gayatri asks her to have faith in him and her love for him.
Scene 2:
Location: Gharaunda
In rahul’s room, he is shocked when sameer coems with tea, and teases him about it too. they start bantering about niranjan, wherein rahul is assured that the fault is niranjan’s. he says that his doubts were confirmed when he saw what he did the other day. sameer enquires. Rahul tells sameer that from what he saw, he suspected something is wrong in niranjan’s life. sameer asks if he thinks that niranjan is having an affair. rahul says that he doubts, but somehow he isnt sure. he then asks about him and puja. sameer talks about the strained one that they are going through. rahul asks him not to do anything wrong as ramakant has a huge favour on them. he then asks sameer what was the inspector saying in the end. sameer refuses and asks why is everyone asking this. sameer walks out tensedly.
Meanwhile, niranjan comes in his room, wishing to talk to rita, about it, and vehemently says that he isnt at fault and hasnt made any mistake. she asks him everyone saw him with maaya, while he is boggled. niranjan tries to clarify, while she talks to him, about rahul and her friend seeing him with someone. niranjan says that her friend had a misunderstanding, as he never went to the mall. rita asks if everyone is lying, except for him, and that everyone is his enemy. she asks him to explain the phone call from maya then and gets tensed. they have a verbal spat, while he says that he doesnt know anything about maya. she walks out. he is tensed as he eyes the number on his mobile phone and eyes the different options available.
In his room, niranjan sits tensedly, and is in a dilemma whether to delete a particular number. but is somehow unable to, as rita’s reprimands resonate in his ear. he finally deletes the number.
Niranjan comes to rahul’s room, and tells him that govardhan is coming tomorrow, and asks him where is he going. when rahul says that he is going to the office, niranjan forcibly doesnt let him. rahul continues to insist, when he vents out his frustration at rahul. he understands that its niranjan’s misdirected anger. rahul calms down and apologises, and asks if everything is okay. niranjan continues to vent out, and says that everything doesnt need a reason to be proven. he says that rita is his wife and should atleast trust him. Rahul says that if he gives her a chance to distrust him, then she would. niranjan says that he isnt any less, as he was responsible for their fight the other day.
Rita sits blankly beside the window, tears rolling down her cheeks, when gayatri calls up, and oblivious to her pain, she tells her everything about inder. rita isnt able to respond much, and gayatri realises that she wasnt listening. rita cancels as she is unable to stop crying. gayatri understands that something is wrong. rita meanwhile remembers niranjan’s clarifications. she rushes out of the balcony, and goes inside the room and locks herself, and collapses on the bed, completely distraught as she breaks down finally.
Scene 1:
Location: Gharaunda
Sameer comes out to find puja and ramakant coming in and is tensed. as they step out, sameer asks puja and she says that she did message him about their arrival. he starts checking his phone. Inside, niranjan and rahul fight about him confirming to rita that the girl he met was his girlfriend. rahul says that he didnt know for sure. he asks why did he doubt him then in front of rita. they find ramakant coming in, and rush to greet him. but he stands tensedly. they are reprimanded by him for not telling govardhan about rahul’s condition. nuiranjan says that they didnt want to disturb him. ramaknt asks them not to be presumptuous. puja asks him to calm down. he asks about rahul and then asks him to take meds on time. as she begins to take him, he expresses his desire to talk to him in private. he complies. they both leave. On the terrace, ramakant asks sameer what did the inspector ask him. he says that he wanted to know his relationship with ramakant, who asks him to be honest. sameer says that he is. ramakant finds puja staring at them and leaves silently. puja goes after him. sameer stands tensedly.
Meanwhile, Gayatri comes to rita’s room, and finds her crying inconcolably, and without stopping, as she calms her down, while rita doesnt disclose whats the matter. when she does, gayatri is shocked that niranjan can do this, as rita expresses her doubts and concerns. gayatri asks what shall she do now. rita says that she feels like leaving, but then she thinks about this family, and the love that she has been given, but cant live suffocatedly like this. gayatri says that they wont let her live like this, and that once everything is okay between ila and govardhan, then they shall all sit down and discuss it.
While descending down the stairs, puja asks her father what did he talk to sdameer. he calls up someone, and asks them to find out every info about sameer, right from the scratch. she asks him whats going on, shocked, while he shushes her. he asks for a thorough background check-up. after he is done, she asks what and why is he doing this, as she has told him everything. he says that she said what she knew. ramakant says that sameer was lying through his teeth and he wants to know everything that he is hiding from him. then they sit in the car and drive off. sameer watches them from the balcony tensedly.
Scene 2:
Location: Parimal’s residence
Gayatri comes back to discuss with parimal and ila, about niranjan’s case and rita’s problem with him. gayatri wishes to do something, but ila is unable to believe niranjan could do this. Parimal asks her to stay out of niranjan and rita’s business. parimal gets to leaving for office. while gayatri gets ready preparing food for inder. parimal asks ila to stop being tensed for inder and his lies. inder comes and asks whats the matter. ila reprimands him for trying to mislead him. inder says that he never did anything like that and that parimal is lying. ila slaps him tighy across his face, while all are tensed. ila says that her sons never lie to her, and that parimal has no reason to lie to her, and says that she never thought he would do this to her. inder eyes them all tensedly and then walks off to his room. ila is distraught. sometime later, he comes back with his stuff packed up. gayatri is shocked and asks him to stay back, while ila watches stoically. inder begins to go, but she asks him to stop, as he cant create problems in her life and walk off, and that he shall have to answer. he stops, turns around and asks her what should he say, and tries to give a clarification.
She asks why didnt he tell her. he asks how could he have, as he didnt want to disappoint her, in her brother, as he turned out to be a failure. ila says that speaking the truth never harms the brother. he gets emotional and says that he hjas always lived in the scare of ila disgusted about him, and his financial failure. he begins to leave, when she confronts him asking whats he hiding. he denies and she asks him to swear and finish it off. he hesitates when she mentions this, and retreats his hand away. he says that he cant swear wrong again. she asks when was the first time, and asks him again, when he hesitates. he breaks down, and says that he swore false on their dead mother. ila is distraught and asks when. he says that he had married his wife for money but lied to her about it. she is distraught, as govardhan’s claims come out to be true.he tris to caress her, but she shoves his hand away and collapses apalled on the bed, totally aghast. she asks how could he betray her, when she fought with her husband over him. he bends on his knees and profusely apologises, breaking down. they both cry their heart out. parimal and gayatri watch tensedly.
Scene 3:
Location: Gharaunda
Later in the night, rita comes to find niranjan packing, and asks him where is he going. he responds he is going to Nasik, to meet his friend. she taunts him whether he is running away with maya, leaving his wife and kids behind. he says that he doesnt have anything left to explain as he cant see hatred in her eyes like this, and living under the same roof, as enemies, is impossible now. he says that he just wants things to sort and become normal, and hence is taking a break. she asks what if nothing works out. he says thats the reason he is going, so that he can get a clearer picture. as he begins to leave, she stops him, and blames him for all this, and he shall have to bear the consequences. Niranjan asks rita how long this would go on and they have to bring things back to normal, and how can it end. she says that now its going to be like this and he shall have to make do with it, and bear the tension and pain, that she is going through. she says that now either he would be proven right or wrong, and that she shall call maya and ask about their relation. if she refuses then she shall go and meet her too. niranjan stands fuming, while rita says that this time she shall definitely find the truth.
he says that he has deleted the number she called from, and tried to resist the various times, he felt like calling and asking why is she poiling his marital life. he says that he didnt feel like, as he didnt want to hear her voice. she asks if he is blaming her. he asks her to stop, and that their problems are due to her misguided doubts and silliness. she asks if he is indeed blaming her. he says that indeed he is, and responds aggressively, that he wont go but from his day forth, he shall neither apologise, nor give any clarification, as for him, this is the final straw, and she can think whatever she wants. she is shocked. he pushes her away and walks out, slamming the door behind him.
