Lies of the heart 31 August 2020: The next morning, while ishaani and damini are in the drawing room, shaurya comes down and finds her still angry and ignoring him. He asks if she is still angry. she denies, but he pesters on. she asks him not to fight, while he tries to cheer her up, again apologising profusely, and ishaani finally gives in and they smile again. they shake hands. just then, urmi gets diya down, and Diya wishes him for his birthday. he immediately lets go of her hand, and turns to diya, shocking ishaani.
ishaani eyes her stranded fingers, while shaurya gives attention to diya. ishaani gets irritated. urmi suggests that its a good time, and they should all go to shirdi. he complies, thinking it would be good for diya. he asks damini and ishaani to get ready. damini deneis to go. he turns to ishaani. ishaani says that she doesnt believe in worship and all. Shaurya says that he shall be there with her. but she asks him to carry on, as its his birthday and he should celebrate it the way he wants. He asks if she sure doesnt have other plans for him. she denies, and then he leaves. damini again instigates ishaani, that when she wanted to celebrate he didnt, but when diya wanted to, shaurya instantly agreed, and that this was what was her fear all along. Ishaani says that she is right, as shaurya has changed a lot. damini is relieved.
In the room, ishaani searcehs for her laptop charger frustratedly, while damini comes in saying that she shouldnt take out her frustration on things. Ishaani tells damini that diya isnt shaurya’s gf. damini says that diya isnt, then he cares so much, then what if she becomes the gf. Ishaani is frustrated. Anirudh hears this from behind the doors, while damini saying that shaurya isnt her blood brother too, as he is samrat’s son. she says that they dont love or care for her. She says that neither shaurya nor urmi loves her, and they both just enact to love. ishaani leaves in a huff. Anirudh comes in angrily, and hollers at her for being so callous, and becoming such a lowlife, while she listens least bothered.
She shamelessly says that she has no shame, and she shall break this relation. She asks him not to react, as he forced her to do this. she says that she shall, as the property is ishaani and hers only. She tells him that the decision is his, if he includes shaurya in his will, then she shall continue like this, and if he doesnt, then she might think about her motives again. she leaves. Anirudh is tensed.
Scene 2:
Location: Gaurav’s residence
Chiku is looking for his hankey, when nupur comes in with it, saying that she got it. He takes it frustratedly, tauntingly saying thank you. She shyly says that in friendship, No Sorry No thankyou. She rushes out, while he is irritated. he gets one of his gf’s call, and nupur finds him talking lovingly, she gets irritated and asks jealously who was he talking to. he tells her unabashedly about his many affairs. Nupur is outraged, and decides to get asha. when she comes, nupur insists that she asks what her son is upto. Chiku gets frustrated, and finally nupur tells her that he has a gf. Nupur is shocked, that asha takes it very casually, much to chiku’s amusment. She begins that a girl and a boy can never be friends. Chiku gets frustrated and asks asha to take her out. she complies.
Scene 3:
Location: Shirdi and Karan’s residence
Shaurya gets a call from karan and he receives it no resignedly. Karan says that he had called and why isnt diya receiving the call, and where is she. shaurya says that she had aclled but he didnt pick up. he says that he wa sbusy in auditions. Shaurya says that its good, since he has had his media coverage from diya enough. karan asks him not to taunt, and asks where’s diya. when shaurya says that they have come to Shirdi, karan gets berserk, asking why wasnt he informed, as he too would have come then. He asks why wasnt he told. shaurya says that he doesnt have an information bureau for him, and besides why does he want to know. karan says that its his right. Shaurya asks what he wanted to know, as there’s no media coverage here. karan asks him not to cross limit and talk nonsense. Shaurya cancels the call. karan is angered.
As shaurya along with urmi and diya rest in a restaurant, shaurya and urmi assure that she would win and particularly after visiting the temple, as his blessings would open new doors for her. Shaurya asks them to wait in the car, while he just comes. they comply. urmi gets a call, and asks diya to sit inside, while she just comes. she complies. urmi goes to receive the call. Meanwhile, the same rapists arrive on a bike, and get down. While diya waits in the car, she hears some people humming the tune, the same song that the goons were singing that terrible night. They leeringly talk about how they need to find a new prey, and reminisce, as to how wonderful the last one was, talking about diya. she eys them in the rearview mirror, and is recounted of the nightmarish incident. she scaredly peeps out of the window, and finds that its the same people, at the tea stall. She is shocked, and immediately puts her head back inside. She is petrified.
Just then, Urmi comes inside and finds diya completely shaken and terrified. She hurriedly asks diya what happened. Diya points to those people, from the rearview, stammering and unable to speak up. urmi is tensed. The goons meanwhile get on the bike, and drive off. When he comes back, shaurya too asks whats the matter, finding diya so scared. Finally Diya speaks up. shaurya asks where are they. She tries to say that the people are there beside the Paan stall. shaurya hurriedly looks outside. He finds that they are gone. he rushes to the the paanwala, and asks if he knows about them. he is only able to vaguely guess that they have been here for the past five days, and look new in town, and maybe they are living in Khopoli.
He is surprised, and then calls the police to tell them about the same, and asks them to send a team to the place so that thery can be caught. The police comply. meanwhile, urmi assures diya that their trip here has already ,ade them realise the power of the almighty, and that this is a sign that the lord’s blessings are with her, and this is a good start, right after their Shiirdi visit. diya sits tensed.
Scene 2:
Location: Gaurav’s residence
Nupur comes out disturbed and worried, about chiku’s philandering nature, an gaurav and asha take it amusedly. she starts to crib melodramatically, as to how she doesnt have anyone in her life, that she can share her life’s happiness and sorrows with. They are amused, while asha begins to get irritated, and just to shut her up, she sweaars that she shall get vher married very soon, to a guy of her choice. nupur is happy, as she romantically dreams of chiku.
Scene 3:
Location: Urmi’s residence
The next day, shaurya asks the police and is angry that they still havent found. but the inspctor asks him to be patient, as they are doing their job, and shall soon catch them. just then, he finds ishaani coming down with a backpack, and is surprised, when he gets to know that she plans to spend some days in a Lonavala farmhouse with friends. he asks her not to go, and cancel. she is confused and asks why. he talksa about diya’s rapists were spotted in the locality and that it isnt safe right now for her to go, and he doesnt want to take the risk. she gets berserk that their lives and particularly his revolves around diya all the time, and that it feels like they are staying in diya’s house, rather than than the othere way around. She says that due to diya, she cant m,ove around in the house, cant move out of the house, and its suffocating, to escape which she had made this plan, but has to cancel it too due to diya.
Diya sits tensed. Urmi asks ishaani to listen and stay low for only some days, but ishaani rudely asks her to shut up, as she isnt talking to her. Shaurya reprimands her for talking to urmi like this. damini thoroughly enjoys this, as ishaani against her mother and brother is exactly what she had wanted. Ishaani finally angrily says that she wont go anywhere and goes up to her room in a huff. He tensedly asks damini to make her understand that he only means well and wants her safe hence had asked her to cancel. damini resignedly agrees. shaurya then tells urmi that he is going to sit on top of the the police station, so that work gets done. urmi too tage along, asking diya to eat and then rest. she complies. After they are gone, diya gets up to go.
Damini gets up and stops diya, saying that she can easily see, how her presence in the house, has only made matters and family strains worse in the house, since the day she stepped inside the house. Diya stands speechless. damini continues to say that when her culprits get caught, its her humble reuqest to her to leave her house, as she doesnt want it to go worse anymore, which shall happen if she overstays. Diya stands speechless.
Scene 4:
Location: Police Station
urmi and shaurya arrive, and are told that they have nabbed the goons, but they shall need diya for identification. When shaurya is shown the goons’ faces, he is filled with boiling rage, as the men look at him shamelessly, with no regret in their eyes, as they stand behind the bars. She remembers the two men, from the Paan Stall, and tells this to shaurya. The police asks them to get diya so that they may proceed further. They go back and get diya to the station. As she sits, shaurya composes her, that they need to be strong and do this, so that they can get ahead with the judicial procedures. She agrees. they are brought. she is asked to identify. She looks up and remembers the nightmarish incident again, completely shaken.
She gets up and faces them. urmi gets up, but shaurya stops her. Diya gets up in aggression and slaps them tight, finding whatever she can to hit them, while shaurya and urmi desperately try to keep her back. She starts screaming that these are trhe people who raped her. Shaury and urmi are apalled. The police asks them to calm her down, and the constables take the goons away. urmi gives her water, while she is shaken. Outside, the reporters under an alias name, report that diya’s culprits have been caught and that the court proceedings shall finally start.
Scene 5:
Location: Urmi’s residence
Diya prays to the lord to give her strength so that she doesnt weaken, and is with urmi and shaurya, gets ahead and wins the fight for justice, so that she can set an example for the society. she profusely thanks the lord for his help. Damini says that she too wants to thank her lord. Diya stands up tensed. Damini tells diya, that by catching her culprits, the lord has done her a favour too, and is happy that she shall go now. She says that diya shall now stop ruining her family and its ties anymore.
She again asks her if she shall go for sure. diya is sad and distraught as she hangs her head down low. she says that she cant suffer her anymore, as her culprits have been caught, she would have to leave the hosue. she says that if her family doesnt approve, so what, she can stay in a hotel and guest house as she shall give her whatever cash she neweds, but just asks her to get out of the house at any cost. She tells that being a modern, independant girl, she shall definitely find a way in the world, or get a good guy, as this nightmare shall become a thing of the past soon. She asks her not to make her fold hands, and understand clearly, that she cant stay here as she wont let her, and leave asap. Diya stands speechless. damini leaves disgusted.
Scene 1:
Location: Urmi’s residence
As all retire for the dinner, diya wishes everyone goodbye, and then retires to her room. damini points to ishaani that this is her dress that diya is wearing. Ishaani says that she knows, and hollers at the maid for having the guts to do so, without her permission. urmi jumps in for her defense, and says that she didnt, but urmi herself gave the dress, as diya had nothing to wear, and she specially gave diya the dresses, that ishaani never wears anymore.
Ishaani asks her how dare she touch her wardrobe without her permission, and gave her clothes, irrespective of the fact that she wears them or not. urmi asks her to relax, as she never wore them. ishaani asks her not to try and be smart, as she alwqays talks about mannares, and if these are the manners, that she profusely professes, that she sneaks in her cupboard, and gives her clothes to diya. Sandhya tries to make her understand, but she doesnt listen. then shaurya asks her to stop talking like this, but ishaani spews her venom against him too, saying that she can see he is blinded by his concern, love and affection for diya, that he has completely forgotten about his own sister.
She says that his change in behaviour is unmistakable, ever since diya stepped in, and diya occupies his mind day in and day out, so much so that she has been completely ignored, and he doesnt even realise that his sister is sad. She says that she feels that this house has become diya’s and they are guests. Shaurya tries to reassure her by touching her, saying that it isnt so. Ishaani jerks his hand away saying that indeed it is. Shaurya and urmi are shocked, while damini is happy at her victory finally.
Anuridh intervenes them, trying to tell ishaani that she has misunderstood shaurya as he is just trying to be a good friend, to diya, and is helping her out. But ishaani asks him politely not to step in as she doesnt wish to argue with him. She continues that she cant do anything in her own house, the way she wants them, and that just because diya was raped, doesnt mean that they should altercate their lifestyle to suit hers.
Due to diya, she says that she is scared that tomorrow shaurya might just ask her to leave the house. He is shocked. damini smiles. ishaani leaves for her room, hastily. all are tensed. Shaurya goes after her. Urmi says that she is sure, he would mend the situation, as he has the genes of his father, Ishaan. Shaurya goes to her room, while ishaani asks him to go away as she doesnt want to talk to him. he says that he has to, and sits in her knees. she again taunts that diya isnt here and hence he isnt needed here. she is crying.
He says that she knows he cant see her crying, and asks her to stop. He wipes her face, and realises his mistake, saying that he apologises profusely, as he was overtensed for diya, but if she goes sad, then where would he go, and what would he do. he says that he loves her immensely and cups her face, saying that there’s nothing more precious or over her in his life, and nothing matters more to him. She is affected. She says that he knows how much she loves him, but felt that diya became important than her in his life, and thought that she was losing him.
he asks how can she even think like that. they both apologise and get on good terms yet again. he hugs her, and again gets to teasing her, saying that she can do whatever she wants, and go wherever she wants, but just let him make the arrangements. she happily complies. Urmi comes in just then, saying that she cant find diya anywhere in the house. shaurya is shocked, and immediately rushes out, but doesnt find her, and wonders where is diya. He dials her number, but she doesnt pick it. Ishaani is tensed too.
