once there was a king 6 July 2022: Vasundra slaps Sunanda and warns her to sign the papers else she wants her to do the same with Rani. Rani reads the papers, Vasundra says she herself sent someone to Sunanda to get these papers signed. Rani was worried. Vasundra reminds her about her dead line. Vasundra boasts about her coming upto her challenge. Rani burns the papers saying she can’t do any better with the papers. Vasundra cries trying to put the fire off, hysterically. Rani warns she would unveil Vasundra’s true face within next 24 hours. Vasundra takes the challenge and deters to turn Rani into ashes. Rani prepares for cooking the meal for Brahmans. Vasundra comes with a box for Rani and tells her to open it while breaking her fast, she keeps the box as surprise. Rani was sure there is something hidden in the box for sure.
In the room, Raaj stays outside the door and tells Rani to stay vigilant. Rani finds a note inside the box with a smiley, she was irked. Vasundra places the box near the temple saying only one thing lacks in this preparations. She leaves gun powder nearby and awaits a blast here. Rani warns Raaj but he tells Rani to take care of cookings, he will keep an eye over Vasundra.Rani was cooking. Raaj takes Vasundra outside. Soon they hear Rani’s scream, everyone hurries towards the temple where everything was at fire. Raaj spots Rani lying on the floor nearby, burnt and faint. Raaj holds Rani to the room. Vasundra smirks nearby. Vasundra thinks she is upset that Rani didn’t die, but she surely got a shock.
In the room, Rani cries as her bruises ache while the doctor places medicine over it. The doctor instructs Raaj to take care, the bruises would heal in time. Anandi wonders who did this, Rani thinks they can’t speak against Vasundra until they find Sunanda. Vasundra comes to burn chilies over Rani. She says it feels she has come to this house as a bad omen. Chitra calls it an accident only. She says what if Rani’s face had burnt other than hands, she tells Rani to take care of herself.
At night, Raaj comes towards his photo and thinks Sunanda must be somewhere here. He recognizes a box that came for Vasundra and wonders how it reached here. He opens the box, there was gun powder inside. In Rani’s room, Raaj showed Rani the boxes with gun powder. Raaj was furious over Vasundra. Rani says she was already sure no one can do this but Vasundra.
In Vasundra’s washroom, Raaj cuts the steam pipe and says Vasundra would now realize what the pain of burn injury is. He bolts the door of washroom when Vasundra goes inside and turns the geyser on. It was Sakshi not Vasundra in the washroom.Raaj walks across the corridor, while Sakshi played with the steam in the washroom. She soon feels suffocation due to steam and cries because of it. The door had been bolted from outside. Raaj comes to Rani and watches her asleep. There, Sakshi was semi-conscious because of steam. Raaj walks outs of the room and finds Vasundra walking across the corridor, he wonders who was there in the washroom if Vasundra is here.
He comes to find Sakshi in the washroom.
Vasundra comes to Sunanda with puppets of Raaj and Shera. Vasundra reveals to Sunanda she doesn’t only realize how Raaj was saved and turned to Shera.Vasundra tells Sunanda she had spotted Raaj breaking the geyser pipe in the washroom. She came out and met Chitra who was looking for servants, she says Sakshi had to take a bath but there was no water in the washroom. She sent Sakshi to her room as the plan. She tells Sunanda it’s time to play her key card.
There was a knock at the door of Raaj and Rani’s room. They find astiya with a note outside the room, it reads She is sending his father’s astiya, Shera aka Raja beta. They were cautious. Raaj opens the pot but it was empty. Raaj tells rani Vasundra has known about his reality, its time they come for her confrontation. They come downstairs.Vasundra was sitting on a chair with gun in hand. She asks if he liked her game. She tells them about her preparations for them. Raaj and Rani look around out of confusion. Vasundra says she wants to play a game with them, if they win they will get Sunanda. Otherwise she will write the fate of Sunanda. She points towards the spectators of the game, the family members had been tied to poles of the hall their mouths stuffed with clothes.
Rani doesn’t let Raaj move on. Vasundra says it’s the game of luck and time, she gives them a riddle to judge and get Sunanda. She then announces a twist in the game and says the gun as one bullet and there are three people. She gives them five minutes to judge the riddle, else one of them will die. She turns the stop watch on and tells them to hurry. Raaj takes the envelop, ‘you get betrayed as much as you watch it’; they suggest it’s dark. Raaj says only basement is dark. They run towards the basement but there was nothing. Vasundra had shout the gun but it didn’t hit. Raaj and Rani were relieved, Vasundra laughs that Chitra came with good luck today. She now points the gun at Sakshi. Vasundra again sends Raaj and Rani to look around while she laughs victoriously. Raaj and Rani come towards the mirrors, they find nothing around it.
Vasundra had begun the countdown. She pulls the trigger towards Sakshi but the bullet wasn’t shot. Vasundra again laughs at the fate of Sakshi. It was now Anandi’s turn, Vasundra gives them last five minutes. Raaj and Rani remember about Raaj’s photo. Vasundra was alert as they had reached the right clue. Vasundra leaves the gun and runs behind them. Raaj tells Rani he came here yesterday but didn’t find anything, Rani looks towards the photo. Rani pulls the photo and were able to find the pulley. They come into the room and hear a tape recorder playing, save me, save me. Raaj and Rani think Vasundra fooled them again and were about to leave when they spot Sunanda walking towards them. They run to her and carry her outside.
There, outside they bring Sunanda towards the couch. Raaj asks about Vasundra and come to untie Chitra, Sakshi and Anandi. Anandi says Vasundra has run away. They come to Sunanda who was unconscious. Raaj goes to look for Vasundra. Raaj returns saying Vasundra is nowhere. Chitra tells him to take Sunanda towards room. Rani was thankful to God for meeting Sunanda, she finds the gun fallen on floor and notices the gun was empty. Rani thinks this means Vasundra didn’t want to kill any of them, she won’t accept defeat and lost at will.In the room, Sunanda comes out of the bed and comes to the mirror removing the mask off her face. It was Vasundra.
Vasundra throws the mask aside saying she wanted Raaj and Rani to go to the secret room and find Sunanda that is actually her. They will never find Sunanda anywhere and soon she will snatch everything from them. She says it’s the room only where she will stay in her original face. She wonders why Rani didn’t come to meet her mom yet.
In the corridor, Rani wonders what’s going on in Sunanda’s mind till now. Rani had reached the door and knocks, Vasundra wears the mask and gets inside the bed. Rani comes to hug her and cries saying she thought she lost her for always. She says she must suffered a lot because of her. Raaj tells her not to worry, mom has returned home. Anandi comes with food for Rani. Rani feeds Sunanda with her own hands, she watches a burn mark over her hand. Sunanda cries saying Vasundra had tied her with steel chains, and beaten badly. Rani says she will bring medicine, Sunanda stops her saying she will apply coconut oil over it.
Rani and Anandi were shocked and remind she has an allergy with coconut oil. Vasundra wonders what to reply to them now, then says this pain made her forget about everything. Anandi tells her to take rest now. Raja suspects all this, he tells Anandi and Rani to be cautious, and that lady is very dangerous. Vasundra thinks they don’t know what Vasundra is capable of.In the room, Rani wonders what’s wrong in all this. Raaj comes to hug Rani from behind. Rani says there is something wrong, they have found Sunanda but Vasundra is missing. She says she found the gun and it was empty, it’s some trap by Vasundra. Raaj assures Rani he won’t let any of Vasundra’s plan to get completed.
Rani hugs Raaj saying she really is happy that Sunanda is with them. Rani gets nausea at once, then faints. The family was restlessly waiting outside Rani’s room, the doctor comes to inform them that Rani is pregnant. Everyone cheers. Raaj hugs Chitra. They all go inside, Raaj comes to take Sunanda along who still stood outside. She comes inside with Raaj saying she is happy. Everyone bless Rani. Raaj caresses Rani’s face. Anandi watches Sunanda standing on a site, lost in her thoughts. She asks Sunanda why is so upset, she must take care of Rani. Sunanda comes to Rani and bless her, saying she is happy for her.
Downstairs in the hall, Raaj goes to look after Rani. Anandi comes to inform them about having decorated the room as Raaj wished. Raaj had to invite Sunanda to join them. Upstairs, everyone was happy with the decoration. Vasundra thinks they have to cry later. Raaj asks Sunanda if she liked it, Sunanda calls it perfect. Vasundra thinks she now understands what she has to do, she will turn this room a reason for Rani’s tears.Raaj comes to the room. Sakshi was sharing her excitement with Rani. Raaj takes Rani’s hand to take her to a beautiful surprise. Outside, Vasundra was spilling oil over the stairs. She thinks she can’t let Rani live happily, Rani would slip over this oil and they would all be doomed.
She watches Raaj and Rani walking the corridor together, Vasundra awaits a shower of tears happening soon. Sakshi comes behind Raaj and Rani, Chitra was coming upstairs. Sakshi slips over the oil. Anandi notices the oil, she calls the servants and scolds them about such a mistake in future. Raaj asks what if Rani had slipped over it. Vasundra watches them curtly. Raaj assures Rani he won’t let anything happen to her or their child to be. Raaj says there has been something wrong, he can’t take a risk for themselves; he wants to conduct a Havan.
During the havan, Raaj thinks there is something he is hiding from her but he must hide it until he has a confirmation.
He looks behind and calls Sunanda forward to sit beside Rani. Vasundra thinks this will be a trouble. She assures she is always with Rani. Chitra and Anandi also insist on her to come forward and sit with Rani. During the havan, Vasundra was cautious and keeps on touching her face. Raaj keenly notices her. Vasundra thinks if she doesn’t take an action her intentions would burn in the fire of Havan. She takes a leave from Rani as she is unwell.
